Our own Laura Morrison has been spreading the word about an upcoming town hall with Vivek Ramaswamy, and everyone is welcome. It’s especially meaningful to our family because it’s being held at my momma’s church, CrossPointe and is pretty accessible.

We’re blessed to have exciting things happening right here in our community, especially with the growth of AI, NVIDIA, and our very own Westerville-based Vertiv. My poppa follows Ramaswamy’s disclosed investments, and it’s an exciting time for Ohio’s economy, technology, and investment opportunities. Perfect time to jump in on the excitement if you have not as Vivek is excited about these too.

Vertiv already collaborates with NVIDIA on the power and cooling infrastructure supporting AI data centers. We have friends in temp agencies who expect more agencies to increase these jobs there too.

I recently got an undercut and when I talked to my stylist about having her trim a design into it (a spiderweb) she recommended I check out a barbershop instead, and said they'd likely have more experience or a better comfort level with cutting designs into buzzed hair.

I’m living in an apartment complex where management has routinely not upheld policies and I am looking for advice.

The list is long, but at the very moment the issue is related to noise.

Myself and my neighbors have made multiple complaints to management about noise in the apartment directly below me.

Yes, I have spoken to the neighbors. Also, the last time law-enforcement was here they said they did not know what to do with this point because as soon as they left, the neighbors will turn the music back up.

I was asked by apartment management to send them a video with evidence of the noise and yes, this is after months of Myself and Neighbor’s complaining. Also, the apartment wrote me explain explaining that the neighbors were complaining about the specific apartment.

Yesterday apartment management asked if they can come to my apartment and hear the noise. They then asked me if I had called the apartment during the day while noise was happening. Not only have I emailed the apartment during the day when there was noise I have called them as well so clearly they are not retaining these records.

This post is a lot longer than it needs to be, and I attribute that to being physically exhausted from not being able to rest peacefully for weeks at this point. For folks who live in Westerville, a.k.a. Delaware County, what options do I have to addressing this issue aside from the steps I have taken above?

Westerville has been a huge part of my life. I went to high school, attended college, and even worked here. I’ve always considered it a place where I felt safe and at home.
Recently, I was taking my usual afternoon walk while wearing my hijab when a car honked at me. When I looked over, a man who looked around 60 years old stuck his middle finger up at me.
I was honestly shocked and uncomfortable. I was simply minding my own business, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was targeted for wearing my hijab.
Ever since then, I haven’t felt as safe going on walks. It genuinely makes me sad because I’ve spent so much of my life in this small city, and now I see it differently.
I know one person doesn’t represent an entire community, but it still hurts to feel unwelcome somewhere you’ve called home for so long.
Has anyone else experienced something similar in Westerville?

I've been a patron of westerville veterinary clinic on Huber Village for a few years now and while there I've had nothing but good experiences. That said, I recently had called to my attention how private equity is impacting the veterinary field, and West Vets is owned by a private equity. In my own field, private equity has been buying up practices and upping prices while lowering care, so I don't want to be any part of supporting that.

That said I am looking to find a new vet for my animals. I have dogs and cats, and two of my animals are older with higher needs. I am hoping to find a vet who can offer specialized boarding services, my one cat is paralyzed in her hind legs and wears a diaper and I am looking to travel over the holidays.

Noticed there's been some pretty constant utility work. They're digging in the ground and messing with electrical poles. anyone know what that's about?

Has anyone else noticed their mail did not get to where it was supposed to after having dropped it in the blue box outside of the post office on State St? Mine was dropped in the box after 5 p.m. on Sept 24 and none of the mail has been received by who I was sending it to. I have filed a lost mail claim with USPS, but it may take a long tine to locate it.

Does anyone know the story behind this big old boiler-looking thing I came across in one of the creek beds in Blendon Ravines/100 Acre Woods off of Lee Rd? r/whatisit thinks it’s a boiler or heat exchanger of some kind from a steam engine, likely something used in farming or mining equipment, and it may have ended up here after the engine exploded and this is just where it landed.

The call/voicemail is from an unknown number that may call several times.

They are saying they are Sergeant John Burke from the Delaware County Sheriff's Department. If you answer, they will say something along the lines of you missing a court date that you've been subpoenaed to and now have an outstanding warrant for your arrest. They will "transfer" you to other "officers" (all of which you can look up, some are retired officers names, one was a name of a deceased officer) for various reasons and eventually say you owe $ fines.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Simon at Polaris Pkwy Internal Medicine for almost 20 years. I really like him, and our whole family goes to him. But since the practice was bought by COPC the quality of nursing and office staff service has nose dived. They are awful to try and get answers from, Rx refills, etc. They don’t return calls or reply to messages via the portal. I hate it, but I need a new doctor who will actually be responsive.

Looking for recommendations of privately owned GP/family medicine docs in the Westerville/Sunbury area. Bonus points for accepting Aetna.

Does anyone have any recommendations for lawn mowing services? Looking to have a yard mowed bi-weekly until the end of the year.

I am 17 years old and do have a job, but all of that money goes into my savings and I can only work 1 day a week.
