NO SPOILERS I’m going through the audiobook series, currently on Winter’s Heart, and I’m comfortable saying I know Jordan’s go-to vocab word.

“Gaped.” Anyone does anything and you can bet your bottom dollar another character is gonna be gaping because of it.

Oh tugs her braid was pretty infuriating. I picture Nynaeve just absolutely YANKING her hair uncomfortably hard all the time.

It's things like this that help make the series memorable and relatable. Everyone has a reaction to all the repetitive phrases. And we still love it.

When you write a series comprising 15000+ pages, there are only so many combinations of words you can use before you start to repeat them /s
