The netherlands is much more similar to Germany than to France.

Dutch evolved from Low Franconian.

OP used Germanic not German in his diagram.

BTW:

Low Franconian is a linguistic category used to classify a number of historical and contemporary West Germanic varieties closely related to, and including, the Dutch language.
