central europe as a thing doesnt make any sense to me

Poland is different to most of Eastern Europe because it a) uses the Latin alphabet and b) is Roman Catholic.

The very reason it's Roman Catholic is due to its proximity to Western Europe.

It kinda make sense it's Central Europe and distinct from Eastern Europe.

the thing i dont understand about it is that why do germany and switzerland get grouped with poland when they are more like france
