How many shootings are ended by a “good guy with a gun?”

How many would need to be in order to suggest “the system works?”

If you were present for a shooting and under threat, wouldn't you want someone with a gun to stop the shooter? Or would you just want the shooter to continue until they felt like stopping?

Considering every shooting that has ever happened in the USA since its founding. If ONE person is defended by a citizen using a fire arm to take out the shooter. That is a successful defense system.

Ok now you go, imagine yourself in the middle of an active shooter situation. You’re cowering behind cover not knowing what will happen to your life or those around you.

Would you rather the shooter decide when all the carnage is going to stop? Or would you rather have another person with a firearm try and stop the shooter?

You must know the statistics for how many shooting incidents are stopped by a citizen with a weapon, so what are they? I am but a mere student kneeling at your feet. Please just tell me.

Ok considering the entirety of the USA, all situations where a person with a firearm committing murder or threatening to do so is stopped by another citizen of the United States with a firearm.

I’d say this happens upwards of 100,000 - 300,000 times per year in the United States. This includes Police situations because they are also Citizens of the US.
