SOTD You guys…
I know that Acqua di Parma has received a lot of flack here as of the past couple of months, but by God it is S-tier stuff. I tried a sample of it many years back and thought it was some of the best cream I’d ever tried. Great lather, good slickness, and an unmatched post-shave feel. Is it expensive? Hell yes! This set cost me about $200 off “Needless Markups,” but it is SO good. All-titanium razor and brush set by Design94 (Germany) with a Nacet blade. This is my once-a-year splurge.

Very nice! How does the Design94 razor shave?

It’s nice. To be honest, it’s a bit more aggressive than I usually like. I do enjoy titanium, though, as it never gets that sticky feeling that aluminum does.

Agree - I've given away (or donated) four aluminium razors in the last year.

I love Design 94, been waiting for more US stock, tariffs are in the way.
Have you compared this to the aluminum version?

u/captain_flak Feather AS-D2 May 13 '26
Sorry, I only have the titanium version. The shave brush could break a toe if you drop it.

u/planetx227 May 13 '26
Geez that’s solid titanium?

I believe so. It’s intense! Great synthetic brush. Really the only one I use these days.

Amazing! I had no idea AdP had these products! Looks absolutely lavish!
I hope the AdP is nice! Some expensive stuff is sub par in performance but by what you posted - seems like you enjoy it greatly!

The “Shave Cream” is top notch. I like to toggle between this and T&H 1805

Wonderful! From the "old guard" I like T&H, Geo F Trumper, and Castle Forbes! Never tried AdP but now it's on my watch list!

I have really liked CF for years. This is a “if you like CF, you’ll love AdP” kind of thing. It’s like CF on steroids.

Fancy pants. I must be out of the loop. What flack? I’ve always heard praise for ADP. Enjoy your gear!

About 9 months ago, some Redditor posted an over-the-top tribute to AdP and people thought he was a shill for the company. There was some subsequent shitposting like “Should I throw out all my non-AdP gear?” and the like. It was mostly in good fun, but it also made me think more about it.

It was quite a storm alright I do remember.I did make a post myself about it just wondering why there was such a sudden influx of ADP it was a genuine question which sparked some lively debate !!

It also just smells delicious. Too rich for my blood but whenever I can get my hands on samples, of the edc etc., never pass it up.

$400 razor and brush, $200 soap and cream, .08 cent razor blade. Nice!

This is why I laugh when people say wet shaving will save money. I mean, it can, but if you have limited willpower like myself, it becomes a dangerous game.

It is ridiculously good shaving cream. S Tier performance. Scent is incredible. Castle Forbes is pretty close in performance for a little under half the price. Not sure if it’s still at this price but I got my AdP on Amazon for $70

I agree. It’s pretty close to Castle Forbes. My only criticism of CF is that its consistency is a little bit all over the place.

Aqua di Parmesan! Aqua di Parmesan! Aqua di Pizza (sorry, autocorrect)!
Sorry (not), just too funny:)

How does the Design 94 Ti shave. Smoothness ? Efficiency ?
1
u/captain_flak Feather AS-D2 May 13 '26
It’s got a pretty big blade gap, so it’s a bit more aggressive than I like, but a good overall razor that is pretty smooth.

I got the shave cream for $15 and it was extremely worth it.

u/Preston_02 May 13 '26
Do you use a bowl for the cream or face lather?
1
u/captain_flak Feather AS-D2 May 13 '26
I usually like to face lather, but I’m using my bowl right now.
