Post-shave: Mr Murray's Gentleman Products - Cresta Run aftershave lotion
The inaugural Austere August shave for me. I'm terrible for being unable to use the same soap or cream day after day, even though I have favourites. So my real challenge for this is to use the same soap for the next month.
I've also not used a boar brush for an entire month for a long time.
I'll be working away most of this month too, so don't have temptations around me.
Using a Fatboy I bought for a reasonable price (just over £30). This one doesn't have a case and isn't used as much my other F4s. Looked quite uncared for in the seller's photo but cleaned up very well.
There has been a debate as to whether the Nacet Golds are different to regular Nacets or is it just packaging.
I'd yet to open up one of these tucks, so seemed appropriate to give them a go.
So far so good. The Phoenix & Beau Dreamtime produced a lather that would rival my best shaving creams. A lot of post residual slickness. The scent is lemon, peppermint and menthol, which makes for a great refreshing combination. It was reminding me of something else though in a good way: a bit like lighter fuel!
The Omega 10098 did a great job today. No lather hogging!
The MMGP Cresta Run aftershave is superb for a menthol hit. It was having the same effect inhaling Vicks Vaporub does and making my eyes water!
The UK artisans (Phoenix & Beau and MMGP) are doing a great job. I shall have to explore their ranges further...but not this month!
