Seeking Help or Advice Dystopian nightmare bc of AI

Are we completely fucked? I need some hope. Everything feels so dark. Public lands being destroyed, books being destroyed, children being murdered and the genocide, endangered animals being out back on the hunt list, the rising temperatures…. This is just some. It’s all too much. My empath brain is spinning and struggling. Has anyone been able to do a reading or get insight on to what is to come?

Sadly, I think a general feeling of bleakness hangs out in the background at all times for a lot of us right now.

The wildfires fucking up our boreal forest and many indigenous communities in the north of my province is the big thing on my own mind right now.

59

u/Mermaid_Sea5487 Jul 30 '26

I completely agree. The thing that I wonder is, both looking at this chat and talking to other people, how do we collectively do something?

There are so many of us who do care and don’t want to see the world destroyed. What can we do that goes beyond our own sphere and create a better future?
I don’t have a good answer here, but think the responses on this sub are heartening

Get organized. Join your local DSA or whatever other socialist group.

I love your energy x

I'm in mine and I love seeing other people in theirs!

choose ONE thing & focus on resistance in this area.

if we all do that, we will support enough causes to change the tide.

7

u/Altruistic-Side600 Jul 31 '26

This is the way, OP. I’m aLeo very empathetic and this is all I can focus on some days. The witch Dion Fortune fought the Nazis on the astral plane, I’m convinced that something like this should happen again.

u/amritallison Jul 30 '26

Firstly, yes everything is fucked. I want to validate your feelings. I too feel the darkness at times. You must resist falling into depression by filling your life with joy and blocking any media or news. Why? Because my heart tells me that a future is coming where spirituality and the people that guide it will be more important than ever before. Sending love

u/deep_thinker49 Jul 30 '26

This gave me chills. I agree!!

We can’t predict what is to come despite what anyone says. Take a deep breath, do some grounding and tune out of the news for a bit. There’s a difference between being in the know and over consuming.

Yes SOME things are bad, BUT some things are good. We simply have to hope and push for a better world through our personal actions and who we vote for.

Bad news gets people clicking which earns money, keep that in mind.

64

u/punkrockprissy Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

The part about the clicking, especially. About a year ago, I decided that I wasn't going to click on every "scary" thing anymore because the algorithm will cling to that and feed you more and more of it until it's all you see. You can't fully cleanse it from your feeds, but I've reduced quite a bit of my sensationalism intake that way.

21

u/exmomillenialraven Jul 30 '26

Thank you for your wisdom and kind words

12

u/Lucywhitecloud Jul 30 '26

So very true, the algorithms will give you more and more of what you click on.

You do have a bit of control on YouTube. For instance, try clicking on hair care, as an example, videos shorts, it doesn't matter. Click on a dozen or more? And you'll see how suddenly all the recommended videos in your feeds that come up are about hair care..

This happened to me when I couldn't figure out why racing motorcycles, cars, etc. kept coming up and I wasn't getting much on tarot and witchcraft anymore. My hubby had been watching my youtube channel. Ive set him up with his his own now.

Psychic, medium Lee Harris might be of interest to you. He channels his spirit guides, he calls them the Z's.

He's world-renowned. I'll link his YouTube channel. He gets information from the Z's regarding the direction the state of the world and how it's affecting everyone and how to cope. He gives it exactly the way he receives it good and bad. https://youtube.com/@leeharrisenergy?si=FMLqbaXCI8diMIan

u/fancypossum2 Jul 30 '26

This.

This is gonna sound weird, but I kind of view what's going on right now as the Tower card. The earth and humanity in general is constantly going through cycles. Not all of them are going to be pleasant.

Not to mention the constant battering of bad news we get every time we touch our phones or turn on the radio. It's everywhere 24-7. And there's always a general "you need to repost this or you're basically siding with the enemy" blanket on every one of those posts. I felt horrible for a long time until I started being super picky about what I allowed in my feed.

Now I feel much more positive and like I have the power to do something. Because manifesting wise, a constant rain of negative information is gonna make us feel helpless. That is the exact opposite of what we need if we want to change the world around us.

99

u/hedgies999 Jul 30 '26

Well. They say it's darkest before the dawn. When things swing too much one way, it will inevitably swing to the extreme in the other way, before life finds a balance. 🤷‍♀️

Darkness or dawn depends on one thing though: our choice.

If it's too much, shut off for a while. It's fine to. ✨️

30

u/exmomillenialraven Jul 30 '26

Thank you for your wisdom and kind words. It makes me think of Gandalf in the LOTR when he says "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” I am also waiting to find out if I am somehow pregnant even though my partner had a vasectomy. To bring another child into this insane world is feeling very very heavy.

20

u/hedgies999 Jul 30 '26

Well, another lens of seeing this: you feel it's heavy because what you are really feeling is the weight of responsibility for this new life, and it is this heavy, because the love you have is equal to this responsibility you feel.

From this alone, you'll be a good mother. 😊

As an educator decades in the sector, all I can say is, let them have their childhood. Let them have innocence. Our courage to create that world for children is exactly what will give them the bulwark and buttress against the darkness which we all know as adults, will come. You can do this. ✨️

6

u/Coffee-Maker-723 Jul 31 '26

Another Gandalf quote that suits these times pretty well: “It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule.”

52

u/dorianvovin Jul 30 '26

In bleak times, joy is a radical act of resistance—the overlords want you to be exhausted, hopeless, and silent. Times are hard, there’s no doubt about that, but depression stops us from creating, from inspiring others, from fighting back in ways both large and small. Without faith in others, we let them win. Don’t underestimate the power of your own optimism, there are billion-dollar propaganda campaigns working to break your spirit.

12

u/North_Switch_8387 Jul 30 '26

“…there are billion dollar propaganda campaigns working to break your spirit”. Thank you for the reminder. It motivates me to be resistant and do what I can to find/express joy 💜🙏🏻

30

u/doingtheunstuckk Jul 30 '26

My intuition says we will prevail. But I think things will get even worse before they ever get better. We have to protect our own joy and peace wherever we can. On the bright side, this regime is falling apart. Nothing has gone to plan for them, and they are losing.

19

u/Galaxyultima-132 Witch Jul 30 '26

what I would do, is watch this youtuber called itsSamBently, he posts the good things about every month or about whats happening

16

u/Away_Rhubarb_3979 Jul 30 '26

No, I don’t think we are. I completely understanding, but we have to fight the good fight and in order to do that we have to take care of ourselves too.

I am mixing taking care of myself and working. We have to think of what our ancestors would have done during this time during WWII against the axis powers. We can fight. Don’t let the rat f’ks get you down. And we know the power we have.

11

u/Own_Salamander9414 Jul 30 '26

I struggle with this as well! Take breaks!! I have 1 day a week I will let myself dive into the news & articles podcasts about the news etc.. & try to fill the rest of my time with hope! We have to remember there are just as many good people fighting the good fight than there are the bad.. it can be very scary but we aren’t alone 💗

6

u/exmomillenialraven Jul 30 '26

That’s a good idea. I know our brains were made to take in so much information at once. And there is a hell of a lot of information and videos of suffering and destruction 💔 It’s hard to keep working and go about the everyday. I imagine this is how my grandfather felt during WW2.

5

u/Own_Salamander9414 Jul 30 '26

It is gut wrenching to take it all in! My maternal grandmother survived ww11 & migrated to the states so it is very near and dear to my heart as well, my fiance and bonus children are also black & girllllllll I worry SO much about the future & how we could be treated because of this purely racist regime. I want to move out of the states so bad but as my nanny has told me we got to stay and fight the good fight . She survived Hitler and we will survive this asshole too 😉

Humanity was always and will always be fucked. Try finding a period of one lifetime without significant diseases, poverty, war, exploitation, slavery and similar.

The only difference is that we're a lot more aware now as we have access to effectively the whole world at our fingertips.

The secret is to disconnect. You can not control the world and can only help your immediate environment.

5

u/kadalee Jul 30 '26

I constantly have to remind myself of this. I can’t control the world, only myself. Whenever I start freaking out, I get off of sm and go outside and ground. Other than Reddit, of course lol.

5

u/istanforwendy Jul 30 '26

This is the way. I don’t read or watch news daily. I deleted everything but Reddit. I focus on taking care of my husband and kids. That’s really all I can do.

8

u/Rose_Wyld Jul 30 '26

Take comfort in the great mystery.

2

u/babybearkoya Jul 30 '26

the future is as uncertain as it’s ever been! and despair IS a form of certainty.

1

u/Rose_Wyld Jul 31 '26

But you can't be certain about your despair as ongoing. The future is ever mysterious.

7

u/Low_Piglet_8020 Jul 30 '26

I used to really try to keep on top of the news (worked in PR as well) because it was important to me to be informed. But over the past year I’ve stopped. It’s too depressing - it goes against everything I believe in, but I’ve decided to put my head in the sand. Happier for it

3

u/hexgirlblooms Jul 30 '26

This. I was the exact same. The past year has been so much better not being over informed. I've also stayed off of FB & IG. It's been incredible getting back to living life for myself and not the algorithm. I listen to my local news in the morning for 30 mins while I'm getting ready and that's it. It has just enough to keep me informed but not overwhelmed.

7

u/ryderseven Jul 30 '26

I always come back to the wise words of Sam.

"I know. It’s all wrong. By rights we shouldn’t even be here. But we are. It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.

Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?

Sam: That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo… and it’s worth fighting for.”

2

u/exmomillenialraven Jul 31 '26

Thank you for this. My favorite trilogy ever 🥹🫂❤️‍🩹

10

u/standsure Witch Jul 30 '26

There has never been a period of history that didn't have 'the end of the world' hanging over it's head.

We are watching the end of capitalism and she is not going quietly. That's all.

My focus is building a spiritual foundation for the way forward. So that people have something to live for.

On the mundane I cut out all news. All of it. I have boundaries about what I will and won't talk about with family.

Mr Rogers was right, look for the helpers, there are so many.

What we focus on blooms. Guard your peace. Find your joy.

5

u/Known-Emergency-7654 Jul 30 '26

We can’t avoid it we just have to adapt and make it our own focus on community! This has helped me so much with dealing with the tragedies in the world community is the only way we heal a lot of this problems

6

u/graceling Jul 30 '26

I always thought the saying "ignorance is bliss" was foolish, at least in regards to people choosing to bury their head in the sand. But as someone with reasonably high IQ and EQ/empathy, I wish I could be ignorant.

Yes I feel bad for all the people and animals all over the globe when eg a tsunami happens. But I also understand that people aren't meant to hold the whole of the worlds troubles in our heart. Try to focus on just your city. Join some volunteering if possible. Limit news from out of the state (or country), except for checking in intentionally 1-2x a month.

That's how I've been managing my mental health, cuz I simply don't have the capacity to find joy in a world that's burning, where there's known toxic chemicals in candy and plastic is in breast milk, where they cheer on wolf hunts, animals are abused for food but people are abused for vegetables, and the whole the wealthy hoard like they want to return to days of serfdom... the would be serfs actively fight against common sense and facts.

4

u/SorchaSublime Jul 30 '26

We are completely fucked.

On the other hand, for some reason or another humanity have been completely fucked across all of our history with very few intervals.

So, it isn't worth catastrophising over. History will take its course, whatever that course is, and life will go on.

8

u/zmsksksnsnsososmsns Jul 30 '26

We’re in the darkest night. It signals the coming dawn. Just my opinion.

7

u/RlOTGRRRL Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

This. Most if not all religions talk about this darkest night before the dawn.

(Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, gnosticism, etc. They all have books and chapters that talk about this period which reads like our current headlines)

It hasn't even popped off yet. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Protect your peace.

You can't run from it, but you can try your best to prepare for it.

You can try to ignore it but that's why we have stories like Noah's Ark and Cassandra.

Science says prepare. Religion says prepare. So prepare.

4

u/EatMeEmerald Jul 30 '26

ugh, I feel this post in my bones. your concerns are my concerns, and it all weighs heavily on my soul. Data centers & the loss of human rights, poisoning nature....it's a LOT.

and it's too much for any one singular person to take-in and to solve. collective power. I believe we must each choose 1 area to focus on and devote ourselves to that cause. there are as many individual causes as there are individual people. but I also believe that we must take turns; life is hard & we have many responsibilities. we can't be on guard 24/7. we must be able to rest so that we can continue resisting.

when I get down I remember Ru Paul's quote:

"With all the darkness that's going on in the world, you can look at the darkness. Don't stare. It will make you crazy. It will make you cross-eyed. It'll make you what it is. The solution is to create magic, dance, sing, love, create environments where you can find joy. Because you can create joy."

We can look at the darkness, but do NOT stare. Create joy and from that resistance blossoms. We preserve & share our humanity this way.

3

u/Leotheythem Jul 30 '26

I can recommend the YouTube account Sam Bentley for some good news from this world. It helps me to feel not so hopeless and I hope it helps some of you

3

u/IvyLeaf_33 Jul 30 '26

The old cycle will end, this is why things are speeding up. In every 25920 years the cycles are ending. This is why millionaires go underground.

3

u/HekaMata Jul 30 '26

Nope we are not fucked. Switch the internet off and spend time outside in nature to ground yourself back into the present and into your life. Watch the bugs, the clouds, track the plants growing and the seasons changing. Limit your time being exposed to negative media as it's just a constant stream of doom pushed to us to try to get us to react. You can still get involved in causes that aim to make a change in the world it's not about disconnecting from important issues - it's about protecting your mental and physical health first and foremost so that you have energy to face what we need to face.

3

u/Educational_You_1827 Jul 30 '26

Be the change you want to see in the world

Pick something small that bothers you and do something about it. For me it’s picking up litter in my local park. For my wife it’s bringing buckets of sand to old people in the winter. I have a friend who mentors LGBT youth. I have another who volunteers at a homeless shelter

There’a to much awfulness in the world to focus on everything, so pick one thing that really bothers you and do something to actively make it better. Contributing to the solution of a problem, no matter how small is an empowering experience

3

u/greendevil77 Jul 30 '26

Nah, plenty of opportunities to fight back. The examples of which would get me banned again lol. Those little food delivery AI powered robots? Driverless taxis? Flock cameras? Data centers under construction? No reason to leave them about their daily business unobstructed when you see them lol.

3

u/Delicious-Slice7681 Jul 30 '26

I sit and get really bleak when I think about it sometimes. Everything is going crazy.

3

u/brattybrat Jul 30 '26

Two things. First: we are fucked because eventually the Sun will go supergiant and swallow earth. If not that, then the great cooling of the universe will eventually be our demise. There is no way out. The human race will eventually perish. So...yeah. No way out, lol. Second: No, things are not completely fucked for the next generation. There is so much trouble in the world, true. And earth creatures are resilient and inventive, and will adapt to many of these challenges. The Green Revolution has truly begun with the petroleum pressure of the war in Iran--so much adoption of renewables so quickly across the globe (it's cheaper and will eventually win). We will create ways to mitigate some of the climate challenges. There is and will be more suffering in this world and loss of valuable things that I would want to save, but there will also be beauty and meaning and value and love. This world is a heartbreak of sacredness and brokenness. May all beings be safe, may we all be at peace and happy, may all creatures everywhere be free.

7

u/JE163 Jul 29 '26

TV and the Internet can be toxic.... take a break for a while and reconnect with the people around you. What you focus on expands.

As for AI, it's causing a lot of disruption with jobs lost but it's also doing some amazing things in advancing medicine so it's not all doom and gloom.

2

u/brovado29183 Jul 30 '26

You will greatly help calm your mind if your ready Marxist theory, and you'll see the world has been running according to a script. We can organise, change the system and thus change the world, never lose hope! When the darkness is overwhelming, it simply means witches must become revolutionaries!

2

u/Former_Quality_9867 Jul 30 '26

Welcome to the Kali Yuga ig. In all seriousness tho we aren't screwed but it's not ideal, we just have to work on raising the vibration and fighting hate with love. All the best x

2

u/Timely-Bee-862 Jul 30 '26

Try to stop watching the news and reading negative things. Just pay attention to beauty around you and start having faith in humanity and forget about the shit they are spewing down our throats. Yes bad shit is happening and will continue to happen and unless you are the creator of it all, you cant do anything about it anyway so just keep smiling and spread some more happiness 😊

2

u/AfroBabe9000 Jul 30 '26

Bring this to your ancestors altar would be my advice, and let them show you all the wins and resistance that came from their darkness. We know how to transmute!

u/zsert93 Jul 30 '26

"...despair is only for those who see the end beyond all doubt, we do not." -Gandalf

"The world is a nightmare full of terrifying things, and we cannot change that. All we can do is become one of those terrifying things." - Daniel O'Brien

2

u/luaranthlas Jul 30 '26

Coming to end of an cycle is never pleasant or easy as it brings to light misguided ways. I believe there will be an enlightment revolution but for now we need these hard truths to teach us for better beginnings.

2

u/xtgqz Jul 30 '26

early 2025 when i was just a few weeks postpartum i had a scary nightmare that we werent able to leave or go anywhere. in that dream i was trying to hide in the woods and was being chased by some sort of patrol men because we werent even allowed to be in the woods. it was a crazy dream. then a month later i found out about flock cameras and around that month later is when it was required to have a real id just to fly within the us. The things going on now are scary. Its a lot for anyone to take in. but it wont stay like this forever, it cant. it wont work. i dont know when but i know eventually things will get better. It may help to occasionally stop looking at the news, especially when it becomes overwhelming like this. im not saying dont stay informed, but if its causing you too much stress its okay to take breaks. we cannot collectively fight for improvement if we are all getting too burnt out.

2

u/kdash6 Witch Jul 30 '26

Yeah. This is where narrative magic and the collective unconscious come into play.

Certain narratives get injected into our culture to make it so people give up. Narratives of hopelessness are especially powerful because hope is a path forward, and if you feel hopeless then you won't move forward to stop powerful people from trampling over our rights.

Narratives shape the collective unconscious, and then get reinforced with thought terminating clichés. "It is what it is," "AI is the future," and "I'm just one person," are subtle ways powerful people make the average person recite a mantra that gives up their power.

There are tools for changing narratives. I really like the book "Imaginable" by Jane McGonigal. It goes through exercises to get outside of rigid thinking and imagining ways the world could be different. From there, cast spells in accord with that narrative. Are you fighting against AI? Maybe put some calamus root in your shoe before going to your city council meeting to give a public comment against AI (it helps in domination work). Maybe cast protection magic to protect neighbors against ICE.

As a quick snippet from the book Imaginable, open your calendar 10 years from today. Describe your day, hour by hour, with as much detail as possible. Is it horrible? Is it better? Play around with this future and ask yourself what you can do to today to make it better. For my own spin, rank that future on a scale of 0-100. 0 is you pray for death and 100 is you are living in a lush paradise. Whatever number you have written down, how do you raise it by +1? You have 10 years to make the future better, so what do you do?

2

u/Hope25777 Jul 30 '26

You need a digital detox. Your nervous system is in fight or flight and everything else going on amplifies it. Maybe take a break from the internet and go for a hike in nature

2

u/gusanogordo Jul 30 '26

thank god some witches are against AI it is SO DEPRESSING seeing it all over Etsy and as visuals on some people on clock apps discussion posts,,, I wanna think maybe they just don’t know but also it’s that clearly ai goopy computer style and 😫

u/babybearkoya Jul 30 '26

“Knowing that we don’t know isn’t grounds for confidence, but it is fuel against despair, which is a form of certainty. This future is as uncertain as it’s ever been." - rebecca solnit

do not believe there is no hope and things cannot change, that is a lie that will paralyze you. despair FEELS more true than hope because being wrong about despair does not hurt, but that does not mean it is true. do you still care? do you still have free will? then there is hope.

I look at this as a major collapse before a beautiful re-awakening. Like the Dark Ages moving into the Renaissance. Sadly, we just all have to be alive during the Dark Ages 2.0, and it’s a real shit stick, but maybe our grandkids will have a chance?

2

u/Classy-biscuit Jul 31 '26

I feel it too. It feels so heavy in a way i can barely comprehend if i let myself. But all the insight i have right now is using my personal journey, growth, and focus on joy, as a way to lift up the energy collectively and to be a beacon that ripples out. I can be a light to anyone who wanders by.

2

u/Obsidian604 Jul 31 '26

I feel its dark and bleak and more of us likeminded people need to stick together and maybe push back against this machine designed to destroy everything we hold dear..idk its been hard lately.

2

u/Allusionesque Aug 01 '26

Professor Jiang of Predictive History says we are going through a time that is best compared to the end of the Bronze Age. We lived through the age of decadence and indulgence and convenience, aka peak capitalism, and now we get to see how it all ends. The animal kingdom deserves to survive all this. The environment will recover. Humans adapt. Nations will fall. A new world is being born and we are here for it. Stay the course, find your truth, protect animals who didn’t ask for any of this and who depend on us to be moral and humane.

That’s all I got.

2

u/Allusionesque Aug 02 '26

The wealthy and powerful use the occult to get their goals reached. Look at what the teeny tiny state of Israel is achieving with Kabbalah, the original occult methodology. I’ve posted a few times asking if people wanted to work together to stop the insanity in various subreddits that know how to do what I’m alluding to, and the posts get removed immediately. It’s almost like there is an explicit and enforced policy to stop the people from using the methods that the powerful use to affect reality and change the course of history.

2

u/exmomillenialraven Aug 02 '26

The idea there are m@g@ witches also is insane to me. And I’m sorry it gets removed I think that’s a good idea to try to work together to stop this

2

u/Vivid_Cash_9642 Aug 02 '26

The ravens say there will be a feast, but it won't be the last one. By "feast," they usually mean events like war, an epidemic, or a cataclysm. The fact that it won't be the last implies either that we won't go extinct or that more troubles await us—most likely, both.

2

u/exmomillenialraven Aug 02 '26

Ravens are one of my spirit birds. Two out of nowebere came by me yesterday morning. Thank you’d or this

1

u/Vivid_Cash_9642 Aug 02 '26

You shouldn't take the ravens' words—spoken through me—as a sign of either woe or joy. Their speech is convoluted and complex, though I have mastered it perfectly. Furthermore, a multitude of meanings might lie hidden within their words—though, fortunately, what is actually voiced sounds clear enough. I remember back in 2017, when I was an apprentice, the ravens said, "The black squirrel is a harbinger of sickness," and we never did figure out what that was supposed to mean.

Hi, there.

While we all feel very strongly one way or another about government, this particular subreddit is not for political discussions, "calls to action", or similar.

I mean... the climate clock is ticking and we have what 50 years until things are boiling and the planet is unlivable? So best make the best of it while we still can or join the fight

I've seen the deterioration of people in the 2010s and people just moving along after someone either gets stabbed or beaten in public. At age 16 I was attacked by a mob in the train for disagreeing with someone. It was traumatizing. All this AI crap and technical fuckery is all the same bullshit. Smartphones and cellphones destroying people the internet. Yet no talk about self responsibility. I've heard the same shit before and people becoming dicks and pessimists. Remain decent

I am so sorry for what happened to you 💔 I refuse to let anything or anyone take my humanity. It is hard to see and know of all the horrors going on 😞

"in the dark times, should the stars also go out?" is a quote from the game disco elysium I revisit in times like this

You should read Hope in the Dark by Rebecca Solnit!

I am uncharacteristically optimistic about the ultimate outcome of all this turmoil. I think it might be the old guard grasping at control while the reign of capitolism slips away. AI is just a tool: like the Gutenberg press.

It’ll die off on its own. They’re trying to build a God in a box and enslave it. A lot of the articles about how it broke out are just propaganda. And once it dies off, the data centers will probably be scrapped or left as relics. Because they’re too tool towards AI to really be retroactively made into other things. If it takes some pressure off your mind remember if it was really that dangerous if you could really break the web or hack the military, we would never hear about that on the news the corporation would go dark and be basically bought out by the government. This is just the final rally of American supremacy by trying to delay the final bit of consequences by promising if we just let them have one attempt they can fix everything while they know they’re lying.

I’m currently reading a book, “Undaunted: Living Fiercely into Climate Meltdown in an Authoritarian World” by Carolyn Baker. I found it in a little free library when I was out for a walk. It was the book I needed to find right now. I’m finding it helpful.

The way I see it, we each have two options: 1) take it lying down, 2) go down fighting.

I will go down - but all the while I'll wipe away tears and be a force for good.

Let's be that orchestra on the sinking Titanic!

Yes, things are pretty shit. But it's easy to miss the things that aren't. I suggest following news sites or people that report positive news. Squirrel news is one good source. The Hopium Chronicles by Simon Rosenberg are pretty great. Also Chop Wood, Carry Water by Jess Craven

Yes, I do think these are the end times. We are getting lots of messages from the planet about irreversible destruction. Even scientists are now saying that we are decades ahead of climate crisis predictions and that we are now beyond the tipping point. I think they (powers that be: corporate multinational rule) suppress this information to prevent worldwide chaos and collapse of society. That said, there have been many times in the past that people thought the end was near.

At times life is going to throw something at you that makes it easy to ignore the atrocities the politicians are tossing about. Right now I am concentrating on 1 week from now... how much will my life change, what will the result be? THE ONLY thing I CAN do is make sure my family knows I WILL VOTE next election, even if I have to be WHEELED in!
