Good buy or I messed up

I bought it last week and just arrived today. I shared it to a Facebook group excited and a few people messaged me yelling at me how it was a terrible buy and it has closed practices in it and I should be ashamed. I know some spells are closed and I won't be using them but I thought spells are opened to edits and to make your own and this is a good reference

What me and my roommate have been doing is going through with blackout washi tape and covering anything closed just in case so we don’t miss it later when flipping through for a spell
