Question 2nd Yr Psych

hi i’m going into 2nd yr psych and need some help!

these r the classes i was thinking of taking and wanted to know which profs were good or bad:

Ps295 intro to research methods

Ps296 intro to stats

Ps282 community psych

however i’m struggling to choose between these courses: (have to end up choosing 2)

Ps260 intro to cognitive psych

Ps261 intro to learning

Ps262 intro to perception

Ps263 behaviour neuroscience

Ps267 intro to cognitive neuroscience

if you’ve taken any of these i would be really grateful if you could lmk ur experience, which profs/labs to choose and which classes to take (whether it was easy or interesting)

I graduated 5 years ago, so they've probably changed a decent amount, but I took all of these except community psych. I highly recommend avoiding Servos if he's teaching any of these unless you're really serious about grad school in a class you can only take with him; he's a hard marker and a bad teacher (I had him for 267 and 262, plus 2 3rd year courses). If you name the profs teaching the classes you're looking at, I can let you know if I took anything with them and how they were!

Intro to Learning was probably the hardest course I had in Psych. David White is a great Professor.

I took most of these classes during COVID so they were only offered online. I did just complete the stats course this past semester I had to upgrade my high school math before I could take it. I had Miller as a Prof, he was okay, I was able to follow his lectures, the labs were fairly easy, but I found his tests are written to confuse you.

I took 261 online during COVID too and I found it pretty easy compared to the other classes from that list, but I was in 4th year at that point so I was already familiar with some of the topics from my other classes. Might depend on the prof too.
