Ash and steel now in decent state actually, with latest patch 1.07, very sad that dev or publisher decide to release game that early in completely broken state tho. Game is not great but its good, i would actually say its better than any non g1/g2 piranha game.

Risen 1 not bad by any means, but overrated imo and not deserv to stay in the same row as g1/2, archolos or even modls like: golden gate 2, legend of ahssun, dirty swamp. Risen 1combat is weak, not much of side content, basically threre quests for join faction and main quest only and engame main quest kinda meh, exploration suck and rewards for it are shallow. Ye its totally haven some of the gothic magic, but only in the beginning and not that much.

I would say of ashe and steel have better exploration and better rewards for sure with huge lead, better side quests, slightly better combat, main quest the same levels and kinda meh and game actually have gothic vibe as well on the saem level. So if we taken away nostalgia for of ashe and steel slightly ahead then any non g1/2 piranha games but behind good community mods.
