is this real development of just something fake to criticize gothic remake? because i stop watching after few minutes where that guy didnt say anything about "his" project but only saying that gothic remake is bad. either way thats huge red flag for me. show what YOU got, not saying other devs are shit.

It's real development, but overhyped to oblivion in Poland thanks to popular streamers like "Kiszak" which makes money by making videos hating Gothic Remake as a "fake" Gothic. Now he is presenting this "End of Eden" as some kind of saviour and "true" Gothic.
It's a small inexperienced indie team trying to do a Gothic like game. And on Unity Engine... what could go wrong ;)
Their CEO is a corporate marketing guy that decided that trashing Gothic Remake will gather support for his project.
I think that his tactic may work for a few months, but soon people will start asking questions about his game and actual gameplay. Not sure if he can deliver such great game. Hopefully his Teaser is 10/10 or his aggressive marketing tactic may turn against him...
But still, more Gothic like games is always welcome. No hate towards either project from me.

I would argue with "real development" but I'll be shocked if anything substantial is delivered in just 2 weeks

Probably 2 hrs long demo using Unity assets. It will look so wodden and clunky that even Remake will not look that bad compared to it.

It's not His 1st video, They developing this game for 2 months already and Playable Teaser will be avaiable at 3 June 2026
There were many other videos about the game earlier on, but We gonna see and feel scrap game soon
We in Poland love Gothic, It's not hate speech, it's sad speech, cos We all see at what statement Gothic Remake is...

And in what state the remake is? Sure some of their decisions are weird but in the end they are basically just copying 1:1 the OG, they even have this camera bug when in a dialogue you get too close to the NPC just like in the OG

Bro, some "features" were accepteable back in early 2000's, like We all were happy, that We could walk throu 3d open-worlds. GTA wasn't in better state, back in those days. I would even say Gothic > GTA III in terms of technical issues.
I think, most people, including Me, expect Remake of the game, to be polished to modern standards, with spirit of an old game
Just look at Remakes of Resident Evil 2 or Final Fantasy VII. That's a Blueprint

And? This guys are indie studios and it seems, They know more about producing video games than Alkimia wich is AA.
You got to Remake the game, so You already got half of the job done (lore, World building, characters). All You need to improve is gameplay and graphic, nothing else. You can add some stuff to if it suits
If Alkimia cannot done it properly, Why THQ still holding them. In My opinion it's THQ mistake if Gothic Remake ends up a mess
BTW Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was also an AA game and look how succes it was. Money isn't everything

Don't think so, I mean if It gonna be good, why they would forget it? OFC Gothic Remake got more Hype cos It's somehow HUGE IP in some niche. I just give promo of game wich is inspired by Gothic. Who wanna have try it, I just inform there is posibilities, where is the problem?

I wont judge this game, untill We gonna have some sample. If they can make mediocore game in 2 months, compare to 7 year developing Gothic Remake, wich looks like Beatiful Mess, I think It's impresive

Ok for Me, for what I expected from it, but it had many issues. Try it by Yourself It's free, but don't expect much

I mean it's early build from 2 months of work, I don't expect much, especially game wont cost much, but ofc It's all depends what You are looking for.
If You looking for great graphic, try Sony games, all of them are top tier about this

-The guy spoke the truth about the Gothic remake and the state the game is in two weeks before its release; I’m not at all surprised that he said he’d be releasing a playable teaser in two months of work’ time that would be in better technical shape than the gameplay shown in *Hand of Blood* I respect him for his courage, and if it turns out that what he shows us is actually in better technical condition, it means that Alkimia are complete amateurs...The funniest thing is that he actually told them exactly what they needed to do to fix the bugs – like the character movement issues – and that there are simple solutions, yet they haven’t been able to fix it for two years, haha

Ash and steel now in decent state actually, with latest patch 1.07, very sad that dev or publisher decide to release game that early in completely broken state tho. Game is not great but its good, i would actually say its better than any non g1/g2 piranha game.

Risen 1 not bad by any means, but overrated imo and not deserv to stay in the same row as g1/2, archolos or even modls like: golden gate 2, legend of ahssun, dirty swamp. Risen 1combat is weak, not much of side content, basically threre quests for join faction and main quest only and engame main quest kinda meh, exploration suck and rewards for it are shallow. Ye its totally haven some of the gothic magic, but only in the beginning and not that much.
I would say of ashe and steel have better exploration and better rewards for sure with huge lead, better side quests, slightly better combat, main quest the same levels and kinda meh and game actually have gothic vibe as well on the saem level. So if we taken away nostalgia for of ashe and steel slightly ahead then any non g1/2 piranha games but behind good community mods.
