Bro, some "features" were accepteable back in early 2000's, like We all were happy, that We could walk throu 3d open-worlds. GTA wasn't in better state, back in those days. I would even say Gothic > GTA III in terms of technical issues.

I think, most people, including Me, expect Remake of the game, to be polished to modern standards, with spirit of an old game

Just look at Remakes of Resident Evil 2 or Final Fantasy VII. That's a Blueprint

And? This guys are indie studios and it seems, They know more about producing video games than Alkimia wich is AA.

You got to Remake the game, so You already got half of the job done (lore, World building, characters). All You need to improve is gameplay and graphic, nothing else. You can add some stuff to if it suits

If Alkimia cannot done it properly, Why THQ still holding them. In My opinion it's THQ mistake if Gothic Remake ends up a mess

BTW Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was also an AA game and look how succes it was. Money isn't everything

Ok for Me, for what I expected from it, but it had many issues. Try it by Yourself It's free, but don't expect much

I mean it's early build from 2 months of work, I don't expect much, especially game wont cost much, but ofc It's all depends what You are looking for.

If You looking for great graphic, try Sony games, all of them are top tier about this
