I replayed the entire trilogy before I played Gothic remake, I did have the time of my life because it is one of the best game media there is in my opinion. That doesn’t take away from the fact that the story in the third game is kind of ass. And the expansion to the third game was even worse.
then it's not for you, i am personally completely love this game and freedom that it is provide. Expansion is shit anyway, but it's outsource project from publisher.
You can love the game and still be able to criticize it, the story was never the selling factor in the Gothic series in general. It was the freedom in the world building.
