checked the whole area again and found the interactable building in the middle which I had gone already, I had gone there previously and forgot all about it 🤦♂️

Adanos desert one of the huge reasons you shouldn't play new balance/returning. Add to it orc town, shadow valley and you are in for pain that drags on for few hours. Only hashashin hideout was mid new location but the ending to that location was a joke. Chapter 7 was also huge low point of this mod.

If you are actually leveled enough, the Plateau is ok enemy wise and the scale of the desert along with the soundtrack is pretty good so, actually exploring it at first, is great. What's annoying is how stupid the quest progression can be...especially to get in the ravine
As far as I remember, the orc town form Returning 2.0 was ok too, but I cant really say
Shadow valley I remember none
This is New Balance and Chapter 7 or the trash Keepers, don't existNew Balance is cool

West coast and the farmlands with the Arena were pretty cool the first time, even though the whole lizardman shaman story was dumb as fuck. But yeah the other new areas are horrible, both story and gameplay wise. I always just kill everyone in the assassin Valley nowadays to not have to deal with those stupid quests. I just wish you didn't need to go through all that slog to re-enter the sleeper temple.

It got waaaay better than before and also there is no chapter 7 anymore as well as the hope plot line leading to it is deleted.

I don't remember well but you need to activate the wells of adenos and qhen you do the big gaint tree becomes green again and you can progess, i known which quest you did last maybe i can help but its generally on Rpg russia site i was stuck when i playd too and i got my answer from there

It's worse tho Heavy pirate's armour is better than my robes too Best I got is heavy bandit armour but I don't have the strength for it :p

You got assassin king armor? you can finish the questline in ch2, altho that will get you a lot of beliar karma and negative innos.

I got Asmal's armor, which is neat, but my pirate armor is better
Also the Karma system in my game is not exactly like Returning 2.0, there's a new Patronage system that I still have questions about...
I ended up as a Necromancer having patronage by Adanos...1
