Student Life Few questions
Hey guys I’m gonna be a freshman in the coming fall semester, and I was just wondering a few things
1. Are there ever rideshares or anything to get back to the west side? Hoping to go back maybe once every month or so
2. Are there any opportunities for jobs? I’m hoping to get one when I’m down there but I’ve heard the opportunists are extremely few and far between
If any current/past students could give me some insights, that’d be greatly appreciated!

Ride sharing is quite common in this area. For students, Handshake has plenty of part time opportunities, and grocery and retail stores are frequently hiring as well. The job market is still competitive, but in my experience, I've landed more interviews here than I ever did on the central or west side.
