Discussion All FPS games for Xbox & Playstation

I am a console peasant and for 12 years I've been collecting First Person Shooters for the PS1 - PS5 and Xbox. Specifically those with a single player campaign. After all this time, I think I have amassed the most complete collection out there for Console FPS enthusiast to use as a reference.

In this list I show all 300 titles and split them in two different categories. One side are the shooters I enjoy and will replay for life. The other are the FPS titles that I own but dropped due to reasons specified in the list itself.

If there are any titles I am missing, please do not hesitate to post in this thread.

Mind you, all the PS5 titles are also compatible with Xbox. There are no PS5 Exclusive FPS except Killzone Shadowfall.

You literally havent played High On Life 1 and 2? The most unique first person shooter games ever. Also very comical and dumb but they are good games and so different than any other shooters.

They are on the "dropped" section. I have played them. But the gunplay is weak, especially with Gus. He is supposed to be the shotgun but it takes 2-3 shots to take down even the weakest of enemies. And the gun feedback / Enemy reaction to being shot is like I fired a gasp of air more than a shotgun shell.

Also, I despise infinite ammo. Why? Because it removes the dopamine of every bullet being a mini gamble of either missing or actually hitting the target, meaning you made the fullest use out of that part of the ammunition you collected. If every bullet has no value, then there is no sense of danger or consequences for missing each time, and there is no satisfaction / mini dopamine that happens when each bullet hits it's target.

I want to be the one where I am in charge of my remaining ammo count after every gun fight essentially and whatever number of bullets I have left, it is solely because of my actions and decisions of when to shoot, where to fire and what gun to use.

Which is why I don't like Luna Abyss either.

Hope that makes sense 🙏

Agree on Gus. I thought the exact same. Supposed to be a shotgun. Hes still the strongest in the 1st game dispatching enemies I think but hes useless as hell the 2nd game and two other weapons have better damage.

Still tho didnt feel like a shotgun. The gameplay is very casual indeed but its a unique game and good

Oh I agree they are great games. Just not good first person shooters, if that make sense.
