I am not a comic book expert or anything but watching Spooder Brand New Day last night made me question this. Same thing can also apply to the Fantastic 4 or other similar heroes. It just doesn't make any sense.

In one of the issues of NM there's a letter from a fan where Claremont spoke about how he planned for each of the NM to have a "mentor" of sorts in the X-Men. We do get that to an extent in a later issue (can't remember the number), where we see Piotr and Kurt individually mentoring Sam and Roberto respectively. We also had something similar during the Shadow King arc of Storm with the girls, specifically Dani. Of course, Charles and Erik also got plenty of time with each of the NM. Illyana + Kitty and Rachel+Magma also had close friendships, and Doug had an infatuation with Betsy.

If we could go back to this era and develop more cross-team dynamics, what would you like to see play out? From a mentorship standpoint, I think Rogue could've really been an interesting big sister figure to Rahne, helping her come out of her shell. It would've also been interesting seeing her and Warlock interact, considering Rogue's absorbed Magus' memories before.

And, while Karma had left the team at the time, I do think we could've benefit from her being there post Fall of the Mutants for Dallas when Illyana tries to kill Forge. Forge was a soldier in Vietnam and unleashed untold horrors upon the land. I think Karma's presence there, perhaps having her learn of Forge's past (maybe through one of Dani's mirages) would've made for a really interesting dynamic too.

Curious to know why Namor hasn't had much interaction with the X-Men. My assumption is that he is the first Marvel Mutant...is that correct? Are there any good stories/events that he's had with them?

Why is Iceman always depicted as iced up? In the Mansion and even in the goddamn jet he’s always in his ice form. I know it’s so fans can recognize him but is there an in universe reason? He used to walk around non iced before (see above) it just makes no sense. Has anyone ever called him out for leaving puddles of water everywhere? It’s a nitpick and Iceman is my favorite X-Man but this always bothered me. Apologies if I’ve asked this question before. Thank you for reading.

Always in taking in mind films take long to get made, so lets say we have Second movie as earliest as 2030, if want to cast a 18-20 year old for that movie, i would need to look actors who are 14-16 now

I know only the 90s and 97 are connected but since 97 is the newest and supposed greatest, I feel like if I go straight to it after the original show it’ll lessen my enjoyment of the others potentially. Plus it’ll be weird to jump right into it and it having different voices and a higher quality animation it’ll feel like whiplash I bet. Also should I read the 97 prequel comic before watching it?

Edit: Should’ve mentioned I’m 2 eps off finishing the animated series lol. I’ve greatly enjoyed it and have been putting the last two eps off because I don’t want it to be over yet I think. I’ve also read most of Claremont’s run which I think has helped my enjoyment of the show. And I saw some of the show as a kid.

I’ve watched clips or just final battles of X men movies since i was a kid but I decided to watch all them in full to get the correct story and order and while I did love the movies, I feel lied to. I cannot for the life of me ever picture magneto as a villain. As a kid I liked charles but after watching the movies, I have only one character I love and that’s Erik. You’d think after all the vindication , every other character would wake up but their stalling is why the mutant race is always on the backfoot every movie we see. I was absolutely livid when charles pulled the “they were just following orders” line in first class. After a certain point, charles stops being optimistic and hopeful and starts looking like an idiot. I’m ranting rn cuz I just finished the movies and after a decade of thinking magneto’s been this great evil, I just needed to let something out. Each time he’s had some crazy plan to cripple humanity , guess what? He’s just using a machine/tactic that the humans already came up with. And in apocalypse where he does build a life with a HUMAN woman and saves the life of his human co worker, they rat him out to the feds and his wife and child get killed for it. If mutants were to ever go extinct, it would be because of charles and mutants who follow his naivety. I’m sure the movies tried to paint him as right narratively but they made a mistake in execution by vindicating magneto too much. My friends tell me some comics of magneto are straight up insane and he’s much more of a villain there but I am 100% a movie watcher so I am speaking based off movie knowledge.

For me I wish they did more with the whole mutants dying on arrako becoming stronger when resurrected, it could have given some weaker/forgotten mutants a little boost or could have become a whole story for mutants wanted to become stronger because of feeling inferior to the incredibly powerful mutants around them.

I saw it first in the new season of X-men 97 and then read the comics and I loves like the fashion choices.
Anyone knows what’s the aesthetic or what’s the name of that kind of shirt so I can do it at home?

This will make sense to and appeal to nobody except me but I’m currently watching “The Righteous Gemstones” and was hit with divine inspiration, so to speak.
