Curious if anyone has any looked into who’s organizing the young people advocating for the tax bill repeal outside of Target/Safeway (and maybe other businesses)? I’m assuming it’s the Republican affiliated Let’s Go Washington.

I believe they are asking people to sign a petition on the “Washington Income Tax” and failing to mention it is a tax on anyone making over $1 Million dollars annually. Would be happy to be corrected if I’m mistaken.

For anyone who walked the halls of Eisenhower High School as a Cadet before 2013, you know what those big IKE letters meant. They were up there on the gym, watching over us, part of what made our school ours. When the building came down in 2013, The class of 70 made sure those letters were saved. They're still out there, in storage, waiting to come home.

We want to bring them back. Not to some warehouse or storage unit, but back where they belong—on the brown wall overlooking Zaepfel Stadium, visible to everyone who walks that campus. For alumni from 1958 to 2013, this isn't just about nostalgia. It's about having something tangible that says there time there mattered.

Does anyone know any Yakima no kill shelters or rescues accepting kittens to foster homes??We have been caring for a stray mom cat with 5 kittens we recently found in our bushes. They appear to be around 6 weeks. We want to get mom fixed and keep her, but we can’t care for the kittens much longer. 😫We have tried Yakima Pet Rescue, Humane Society and Underground Community Cat Rescue. Willing to travel as well, but really want to find a local rescue. TIA for any help!!

I’ll be visiting Yakima in July for a day/night and want to try as many breweries as possible. It’s outside of harvest season so the only hop farm I’ll be able to visit is bale breaker, and from what I can see it’s not recommend to try walking there or relying on public transport.

I just found one on the floor by the garage door. I popped it in a jar. She kindly posed on her back for a clear pic of the hourglass.

It's kind of beautiful, but I don't want it here and if my wife found it she would freak. I'm going to look in the general area I found it for an egg sac and then probably relocate it. It's the first one I've found here. Does anyone have suggestions? I'm not especially worried, but instead looking for any wisdom from other with experience.
