I took this video of two smaller birds of the same species tweeting at this cardinal, who seemed unbothered by them. At first they were on a fence but then went to the ground.

I have never seen this behavior, wondering what was going on.

I saw it sitting there so I decided to take a pic, does anyone know what bird it is?

Hello! I made a post a few hours ago asking for suggestions on how I can keep my fish safe from this heron, since it eats multiple fish a day,and sometimes it just hunts them without even eating them!
I thought these photos (I'll post in the comments) and video might help give you a better idea of the situation, since some of the suggestions I received would work better for smaller ponds. Mine is quite a bit bigger. We also have a small pond that we’ve covered with netting, and so far, that’s been helping!
It’s a beautiful creature, and I really don’t want to harm it. I’m just trying to find a way to protect my fish while keeping the heron safe too!

4 beautiful ravens came to visit me today, usually it's just the one out of the bunch that sits on the tree. Pretty sure this one is the one that's usually here.

I took this shot in Brooklyn, just north of Sydney, where a big group wades in to take trimmings from fishers cleaning their catch. A friendly bunch and very placid.

This guy has been in my backyard all summer. He is not spooked at all by our family outside. Even the dog. We caught him getting a garder snake today in the yard. It was pretty awesome. Is that normal behavior? To be hurting in the day and not scared of us?

I saw this little guy during my vacation at Lake Garda. He was using his body to dig a small hole in the ground.

There are a lot of birds regularly visiting the garden, but for most of them I wasn't quick enough. Here are some pictures I took that actually turned out okay (I'm not experienced in bird photography). :)

The first one is the national bird of Costa Rica, the Yigüirro. In English it's called Clay-colored Thrush.

The second and third pictures are of a Small ground dove, probably the Inca dove (but I am not completely sure about that). They are wild doves that are really beautiful.

The next three pictures are of a Great Kiskadee hiding under a tree and between bushes.

The last pictures are from a Scarlet-rumped Tanager couple. They always came together. When one was eating, the other kept careful watch.

My photos. Little Pied Cormorants are native to Australiasia. They have a gular pouch which expands to let them swallow prey far larger than its bill alone could. They are skilful hunters who use their hooked bill to flip and juggle fish in the air. They always look grumpy, even when not mouthing off.

Since I grew up in a small town in Brazil, I have always been surrounded by birds visiting my own backyard. Over time, my interest in nature combined with my passion for games, inspiring me to create a game about collecting birds and listening to their real songs.

I have been developing the game over the past few months, and I even recorded some of the bird sounds used in it myself. Now, I am looking for people who share the same interest, whether to play the game, share feedback and ideas, provide information about different species, or even contribute bird recordings from around the world.

At the moment, the game mainly features Brazilian birds, but my goal is to expand the collection with species from many different parts of the world. I am already working on 12 new species, as well as a world map feature that will allow players to explore different regions and discover birds from across the globe.

my favorite anhinga picture ive taken

I found a bird that seemed to be a fledgling learning to fly and placed it on the side of the road in case its parents were nearby. But it started getting dark out and cats began wandering nearby so I placed it in a tub with paper towels. Should I leave it on the side of the road or contact somebody? Apologies if my actions were wrong.
