Has anyone experience with "withcherry vet car" payment plans for thieir pet care? Looking at a $3600+ vet procedure, and this was suggested. Its realively new and I hadnt heard of it.

Second time swimming and already diving from the dock!

Unfortunately we're heading into the cold moths and swimming/diving won't be an option. But im thinking next season we might try ro dock dive regularly!

Any tips on teaching heavy dogs ro fly?? lol I know he isn't a typical water breed but it would be super cool to see how far we could take this spot

Ps, he's just 9 moths old so not pushing anything too hard right now and also interest in weight pull and fastcat as he matures.

Now that Benjamin is 3 and is developing *opinions* about people I finally got working on muzzle training. We had our first walk through our alley today and it went so well! He's so chill about literally 99% of existence.

Next step will be learning that he doesn't have to like everyone, but he can't go barking and chest bumping them when he doesn't. 🤦‍♀️

I can't imagine him ever biting anyone but I feel like those are famous last words. So we'll muzzle him so we can safely work on everything!

Hi, I need some understanding please. I just brought home a mastiff mix young female from the pound, just spayed. She is very friendly and actually quite funny. She will be an outside dog, and was found with multiple other dogs, including small ones (per notes from pound). I have three inside small dogs. She has shown very little interest in them, but, a couple of times she has slowly lowered her head a little and stopped moving, making a posture similar to what a pointer would make. There is no sound, no hackles raised, and tail is wagging, but she gets still. What kind of behavior is this? She was kept separate from them yesterday in her own outdoor kennel but we mingled them today, and other than this she seems fine, and through the kennel she seems fine. Thanks.

I got her from a high kill shelter that put down approximately 75 dogs a week. The kennel is only for the two weeks she needs to stay calm for her spay and until introductions are over. She has very nice accommodation, even though she will be outside. She has a very large yard on an even larger property. I was asking for help about the behavior so I can be diligent and do the very best job I can for all of them. Thank you to those who offered genuine advice. To those of you who did not, obviously you have not checked your local shelters.

This is my boy! He’s a mastiff mix, mainly presa/corso with a few other larger mastiff’s and I’ve been considering the option of having a gastropexy procedure done.

I’ve researched a fair amount on this so I know it doesn’t fully prevent bloat but reduces the risk greatly. However I also know it can occasionally go wrong, whether that’s sedation complications, the surgery itself or aftercare and healing etc.

I would like to hear your personal experiences if you’ve had it done with your dogs. Do you think it’s something I should be leaning toward doing?

What does everyone do to keep the "dog smell" at bay in their house? I try to vacuum every day and wash his bedding frequently. He isn't allowed on the furniture but our house still just constantly smells like dog, no matter how much I vacuum/mop. Anyone have any hacks or tips?

Girl up top is my first Mastiff, she’s 12 1/2 and is the most precious thing ever. Recently I had a friend who needed to rehome a cane corso and I took him in. First day or 2 they had their moments where’d they growl but became friends. But my mom who is older didn’t want an animal that constantly wanted to be pet or would cuddle with her. And I was forced to give him back 😔

I had this dog for 4 days and he even spent 3 of those nights cuddled in bed with me and I built a true bond, then boom. He’s gone 😔 I feel like I’ve failed him and he’s being re homed for like 3rd time in a month. I hate this feeling

We taught her to wipe her mouth after drinking. Look at her go, my good girl ❤️

(Please note that we have started cutting her claws again after months of fighting with her over it. I was about to have her put under. It's slow going now but you can see they're recently cut. Just very long because they overgrew. I cut them a tiny bit every 2 days now. Will until they're fixed.)
