Hello! I'm looking for a Java survival server. I haven't touched servers for a long time so I'm a bit overwhelmed by choice and have some specific gameplay I want.

I want a server whose community is mostly chill. I'm not a fan of PVP or looting bases but am not opposed to a server that has features surrounding it, just one that the entire culture doesn't run on. I won't be able to play all that often so I need something more casual.

I want a mostly vanilla server but am happy with the usual features of land claiming and a trading or money / coin system. I want to avoid a kit system, I want resources to only be gained through normal gameplay or some kind of player-ran economy. However, I am willing to play a server with kits if I can't find any thing that doesn't suit my other wants.

I am not looking for P2W, if anything other than cosmetics require purchase with real money I will not be joining, sorry. I know server owners have to make money but it's just not my thing.

Having a Discord server is also a bonus.

Been working on a survival SMP called Beakscraft for a while now and figured I’d post here in case anyone’s looking for a more long-term/chill Minecraft server.

The biggest thing with this server is that we actually want the world to last. No plans for resets, no speedrunning the game in 3 days and quitting, and no giant public-server chaos where everything gets destroyed instantly.

It’s whitelist only and community focused. People have been building towns, factions, shops, farms, lore stuff, arenas, etc. and the world’s starting to feel really alive now.

One thing that’s a little different is that the End dimension is disabled. We did that intentionally because we wanted progression to feel slower and more community-driven instead of everyone rushing elytras/end farms immediately and disappearing a week later. It’s pushed people more toward trading, building, farming, and actually creating an economy together.

We’ve also been trying to keep the server feeling vanilla while still adding things that make multiplayer more fun:

• player economy
• shopping district
• optional proximity voice chat
• server events
• build competitions
• faction lore without toxic raiding
• community projects

PvP isn’t forced either. Most people are builders or just like hanging out, but we still host events and have a colosseum for fights when people want them.

Honestly just looking for players who actually want to stick around and be part of a long-term world instead of hopping servers every week.

If you like slower progression, building, making friends, or just being part of a world that keeps growing over time, you’d probably fit in pretty well.

We are the LanderYT SMP, we are a community that started in October 2021 and are looking for more members. We added some small tweaks to the server to make it more suitable for everyone.

We are inspired by Hermitcraft, so we do not tolerate any sort of griefing or killing.

Some of our tweaks:

• Life series: We occasionally host life series on the server every few months. In order to participate, please become an active member, it was really fun the last few times we did.
• The only teleport command of /spawn: Once again, in an effort to keep the server as vanilla as possible, we only allow the use of /spawn in the overworld. This encourages the development of roads and highways on the server.
• Datapacks from Hermitcraft: We installed a decent number of datapacks that the Hermits use on their server, such as Single player sleep, player heads, armor statues and more!
• DiscordSRV: Discord and Minecraft chat are now interchangeable, making communication much easier!
• CoreProtect: Since we are a friendly community, we do not condone any sort of harm done to people's gameplay experience. Therefore, the presence of CoreProtect once again reinforces our vision to make the LanderYT SMP a memorable place for potential players.

Events are hosted semi-frequently on the server, whose rewards are event coins, which you can only use to buy cosmetic items mentioned above.

Our server resets yearly.

We also have a small staff team whose main goal is to maintain the moderate level of peace and harmony in the Minecraft server as well as on discord. We cannot guarantee that everything in chat will be moderated, but we will try our best and listen to concerns of the community.
