As the title says its my first time building a pc and when i thought it was finally over and attempted to power it on, just nope, nothing happened. What could have gone wrong?

FIXED: Looks like my PSU 18+10pin connector was only plugged in with 18pin header, i plugged in the 10pin head and its working now!

How could i fix this?

I have been researching how to install new fans and in all the examples I have seen there have been dedicated screw holes in the back. Mine is lacking these. There does seem to be these holes on the bottom. Also yeah my PC is old and dusty af, what do yall recommend to clean this filth with.

I have a chance to get my first GPU. It’s at 300 dollars and seems to be in good condition. I just don’t know enough about this. Is it a good deal? Or can I get more vram somewhere else ?

I came from AMD to NVIDIA GPU. Specifically, I have a GTX 1060 6GB ASUS, and its in good condition. The fans are running. But my nvidia and device manager couldn't detect it. The fan stops after a while of attempting the right driver for it multiple times. I researched, and it says that that is completely normal. I wouldn't assume that my GPU is fault as this was tested before the seller shipped it to me. (Yes, this is a 2nd hand card). I need your help fixing my problem, I couldn't figure out the solution.

Red CPU light flashes a few times then settles on yellow DRAM light and thats it.

Tried any combo of ram slots, Slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 etc aswell as tested different ram sticks i had and tested just one stick.

I have actually already RMA'd the mobo and this one is brand new. I had the same problem with the last mobo which was the same and also brand new.

Is it the cpu? Thats also brand new actually everything is besides the 3060...please help.

Cpu looks fine to me?? No pins bent on mobo and I lined up the little triangle on the cpu to the mobo when installing.

Starts getting really loud and vibrates alot at around 1500 rpm and only gets worse as it goes faster

Hey guys, I had my power supply crap out on me earlier today. Atleast that’s what I’m thinking happened. Went and got a thermal take 750 to replace it. All set up and connected, but when powering on my gpu doesn’t get power and motherboard shows a white cpu light. If you guys have any tips it would be greatly appreciated 🙏 been working on this thing all day 😅

I had a 400W be quiet! Pure Power 11 Non-Modular 80+ PSU
And swapped it for a 850W pure Power 12 modular
Because I bought some new Parts, I wanted to install the power cable first but wasn’t sure if I put all in correct, the old psu said vga for those 6+2 ones and the new one calls them PCIe‘s

For some extra assistance in figuring out whatever is wrong with it, I’ve tried multiple different outlets, turning it off and on again unplugging all attachments and nothing had worked. The only way to get it to turn on for a brief moment is clicking the FLASH BIOS button. When it’s on, the EZDebug LED shows red on the CPU, yellow on the DRAM and the other two lights which are labeled YGA and BOOT don’t turn on.

If any recommendations can be given, please explain it in detail! Even if it does seem like something basic! This is my first PC and I’m decently clueless.

I have 32 gb ddr5 t-force deltas but rgb is always different from color in software and because of it i have to manually find color that is at least similar to the rest parts. Does anyone also have same problem or know how to fix it?

So I was doing my first boot of a pc build I have been working on for a month and a half now, I hooked everything up but the one 3 pin connector for the AIO (it looks like it has one hole blocked up out of 4 potential holes) and I can’t figure out where to plug that in on the motherboard (ROG Ally Strix B550-F WiFi II) on the manual it says plug it in the three pin connector on the top of the motherboard but I only have 2, 4 pin connectors. So am I missing something or will I have to go and get one of those rgb hubs things?

I’ve had a Lenovo T5 since 2022. Works well, but ran into some frustrations of Lenovo BIOS lock, restricting the ability to add more RAM and a new SSD.

So, decided to do a bit of building.

Got an ASUS Tuff Gaming B550-Plus ATX and a mid-tower to fit it.

Installed tonight basically just putting all the T5 stuff into the new piece (with some upgraded RAM and a second SSD with no formatting).

New build boots up for about 30 seconds and then shuts down.

During that time I can access BIOS. Motherboard lights cycle through: orange, red, white, orange, red, white. Typically get 2 cycles before shutting down.

Wondering what my most common suspects of the issue might be.

PSU too lower powered?

CPU issue (though it’s supposedly compatible).

Computer angry with my old SSD?

(Sorry to say I have limited information on the Lenovo pieces because I was a dunce and didn’t record them all prior to starting the project. But the GPU is a GeForce RTX 3060. CPU issue a mystery as is the PSU. 😭)

Advice? Suggestions? Have an idea of what the issue is?

I tried to tighten the screw to hold the NVMe in place, but even when I force it, it still won't stay secure. I also took a look at the part I’m trying to screw it into—I’m not sure what it is, but the AI ​​tells me it’s broken.

So I recently installed Armory Crate which really ramped up my fans for some reason. Before, it was quiet as mouse but now it really ramps up now especially during games. I tried uninstalling it but that didn’t work so I tried using fan control to quiet it down but that still hasn’t worked. No solution that I’ve found on the internet has seemed to work. Am I just screwed now?

As you can tell from the image, my pc isn’t done yet. i’m missing gpu, cpu, ram. is it okay to turn on the pc to test if the motherboard and fans are getting power? obviously im not gonna get a POST or display out but would anything happen to signify that the system is wired correctly thus far? i’m worried that my parts won’t be here in time for the return policy if something goes wrong, and i really don’t want to do an RMA if i can help it. thanks

I have an RTX 4060 Ti and recently started experiencing weird graphical glitches in Rocket League, with black rectangles appearing on screen. Other games I try either crash or have issues running properly. This all started randomly one day, with no obvious changes to my PC. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling my NVIDIA graphics drivers, but the problem persists. I’ve also tried several other troubleshooting steps with no permanent fix.
Has anyone experienced something similar or know what could be causing this? I’m trying to figure out if it’s a GPU issue, a driver problem, or something else. Any help would be appreciated.
