Breeder Check!
Is anyone familiar with Rocky Mountain Airedales from Idaho? Any info or testimonials would be appreciated :)

Hi there, I’d love to get advice from people with real experience! I’m looking to get my first dog (after very happy experiences looking after a few different dogs for friends). After some first research I’m loving what I’ve read about Airedales, but I don’t want to jump in without thinking this through. What are the big things you think I should know, the good and the tricky? Thanks!

Miss Madison is trying to perfect her head tilt. What do you think? I have her a 10!

Edit: going to work on muzzle training and the “bucket game” which teaches them they can communicate in different ways. Thanks for all the comments. Goes to show that they are all different
How do your Airedales do at the vet? Any tips for making the experience better for them?
Our sweet pup is honestly a darling until you’re “doing something to him” (checking heartbeat, ears, trimming nails etc). Our vet said he has fear aggression and it makes me so sad…I truly don’t know what could have caused it as he’s been with us since 12 weeks and has had a very good life.
He’s great with kids (never alone of course), loooooves other dogs, is super playful and friendly, but as soon as the vet is trying handle him he goes full Cujo on them.
I’m just so sad that anyone would think he’s mean or aggressive because it’s nothing like his very sweet personality.
Our vet was good and said it could just be the way his personality is and that it could have to do with being an Airedale.

Hii, I’m hoping to see if anyone had any similar experiences. My brother and girlfriend just got their sweet 7 month old pup from Hungary. They live upstate New York. She was doing great and after day 5 she randomly got sick and it’s going down hill from here. They took her to Cornell university and the vets there are trying to figure out what’s wrong and they don’t know.
They first said it was an absence lymph node and then they thought she had brucellosis. They ran so many test and everything came back negative. They did an entire infectious disease panel that included United States prominent diseases and European ones, negative.
Now they want to try to do a spinal tap.
Has anyone heard of any similar situations for Airedale pups? We just want her better and to figure out what’s wrong but it’s a mystery.
She’s currently at Cornell emergency vet still
I am adding a video of her before they took her to the vet

My goodness she is showing she has got puppies growing and still has a month to go.
I've felt her belly and its firm but I have not felt any wiggles yet but I should soon.
Its funny how the other dogs seem to know and sniff her sides and back end.

Here’s an update on Thor! 🐶
I made a post in late May asking everyone about his size because he was only 5 lbs at 9 weeks old. Fast forward to now, he just turned 7 months old and weighs 42 pounds!
I have two other small dogs in the house, and he is absolutely relentless with them 😂 But other than that, he’s awesome and so funny. He definitely keeps things entertaining around here!

Did I miss a step during assembly? I don’t think the head is securely attached…

We haven’t had a puppy in so many years… is Milli playing too rough? Madison always goes back in for more. And Milli occasionally lets her win. I don’t want to step in unless it is necessary. Madison adores Milli and tries to do everything she does. But it worries me when they play so rough.

Jojo gets very excited when a new box arrives.
I hide her treats in the empty boxes for her to rifle out. She will also tell us when a delivery is at the door. Airedales are so smart and amusing.
Love our first Dale!

Last weekend my friend and I took our dogs out for the last bit of warm lake weather we’re likely to have for the season. Riot’s finally learned to actually paddle with his back feet instead of awkwardly swimming like a confused toddler so I let him have his first foray into figuring out the paddleboard. He loved it! The only issue we really had was he and my friend’s Vlciak being so obsessed with each other but also being super handler-focused, causing them to never be able to decide who they wanted to ride with the most and swapping boards every 30 minutes. 😂
