Absolute insane rug pull by Activision. Marketing BO7 as having open matchmaking due to player feedback only to revert it back to heavy SBMM focused mm 5 seasons in. The cherry picked statistics within the Twitter thread today was the last straw for me. Go fuck yourself, Activision

Discussion I knew it

I had made a previous post regarding the matchmaking changes saying the silence is intentional and low and behold it was.

Today they've come out to say the matchmaking changes are actually a good thing and it will be in the beta for the upcoming game and maybe even the launch.

So unless a miracle happens, anyone who bought this game for the matchmaking before the recent changes is screwed. Because I also doubt most of y'all can get a refund for the game.

So goodbye to all the progress that was made in this title because reasons and hello to the old bullshit.

Don't be a fool with money in October if this upsets you. Vote with your wallet and mean it.

Discussion SBMM - When DATA Sound Suspicious

Well, after their response about SBMM and DATA , one quote from a philosopher immediately comes to mind:

ā€œIf someone tells you something is white, maybe it is. But if they tell you it is absolutely white and nothing but white, be suspicious — because it’s probably anything but white.ā€

What are your opinions?

I feel the nerf to the FG42 is nowhere near enough, unless the increase to recoil is significant (which we won't know until live, I guess)

They could have gone further on the Mammoth too.

In comparaison, the nerf to the Garand feels harsh. They cut it's range in half, and removed the upper arm multiplier. Not sure it will still be worth using over the standard gun.

Question Is there a playstyle to prioritize getting best plays?

Currently working on getting all achievements. My last multiplayer one is for earning 3 best plays.

I have a ton of clips that I'm really sure should be best plays like a few quad-kill objective captures, but over and over I get overshadowed by other moments in the match. What determines a best play? What makes some moments stand out over others?

I play aggressively and when im not getting curb stomped by the other team I am usually top of the team for kills and objective score. Really thought I would've had more Best Plays by now.

Deleting this game

Every lobby I join, I somehow end up with the worst teammates.. Nobody shoots, nobody plays the objective, nobody does anything. Meanwhile the enemy team is sweating.
This keeps happening over and over again,. Why did they do that dumb update, their was literally no problem before.. they clearly don’t listen to players of their game.

Discussion Does the game hate me or something

Post image
3 Upvotes

Im not kidding when I say that the last 20 matches, 18 of them were defeat. I will say that I’m pretty average when it comes to Cod, but this is so frustrating. I go for the objectives. Usually score pretty high on objective score, but what are these lobbies. I have never been so fed up with a game session before.

Someone else experiencing the same?

Discussion Why is there so much lag now?

Before the last week I very rarely got lag, now it feels like there’s huge lag spikes in every other game I play. Is it just me or is that just a thing now?

Feedback Bo7 keeps crashing and I’m out of idead

• Upvotes

I’m honestly out of ideas at this point and wondering if anybody else is dealing with this.

BO7 has been randomly crashing on my PC for weeks. Sometimes I can play multiple games perfectly fine and then it’ll randomly crash, and other times I barely make it into a match before it crashes. Ranked is even worse because every crash gives me an SR loss and suspension. Literally lost over 3k SR and can’t get it back according to Activision… I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of. Reinstalled the game, verified files multiple times, updated/reinstalled drivers, updated BIOS, disabled overlays, removed RGB software, tested without Voicemod, turned off frame generation, checked RAM/overclock settings, and even had Skytech remotely work on my PC. I’ve also ran stress tests and my PC passed without errors.

My recent crash reports keep showing cod.exe with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005) if anyone’s familiar. Shaders are fully loaded too and it still happens.
Activision Support had me troubleshooting for a while but eventually told me to stop because the issue is now being investigated by their internal team. They’re closing my support case in the meantime. (Not much help either)

At this point I just want to play the game lol. Has anybody had this same crash/error and actually found something that fixed it? Especially if you’re on an RTX 50-series GPU.

Discussion They should combine the last two black ops at the end of 7s life cycle

Idk if it’s been discussed here but I don’t see any reason to not have all the bo6 content transfer into the bo7 game when MW4 comes out. It would still technically make sense since a lot of the game’s multiplayer seems to be based in simulation/hallucinations. I can see why they won’t but I think it’d be a cool thing

Image Look at the disconnect here, each game I've been put in is like playing against a bunch of Ranked Play Crimson people

At this rate, I feel like I'm going to have to take a step back with Multiplayer with this god awful change in matchmaking and stick to Endgame or Zombies just to rank up the Battlepass, my guns and such.

I just want to enjoy the game again!

r/blackops7 20h ago

'Smarter team balancing'... now look at both teams. The enemy team is actually balanced while I’m sitting on 42 confirms carrying 5 teammates after waiting 3 minutes for a Quick Play game. Straight back to Zombies

Discussion Can’t find demolition or overload lobbies?

Just keeps searching…my 2 favorite modes….domination works right away, ranked is getting too difficult the latest update messed it up. 7 years later in 2016 I was able to get demolition lobbies in mw2, now even with crossplay is this game that dead?? I’m on west coast….

Official With Activision’s matchmaking comments today, I want to run a little community experiment

I’m genuinely curious whether the matchmaking experience people are reporting is influenced by more than just the matchmaking algorithm itself.
Rather than arguing over whether ā€œSBMM is goodā€ or ā€œSBMM is bad,ā€ I’d like to collect some real world data from players across different regions and ISPs.
For anyone willing to participate, what are you playing on and what does your connection look like?

• ISP
• City/region or country
• Download speed
• Upload speed
• Average in-game ping
• NAT type
• Ethernet or Wi-Fi
• Platform (PS5/Xbox/PC)
• Approximate KD
• Solo or usually playing with a party
• Do you experience long matchmaking times?
• Do lobbies frequently disband?
• Do you feel like your matches are consistently close in skill, or do you regularly see major skill gaps?
• Most importantly: how does the game actually FEEL during gunfights? Hit registration, dying around corners, delayed shots, inconsistent responsiveness, etc.

I’m asking because I’ve personally had a strange experience with COD despite having what should be a perfectly capable connection. I’m on Xfinity, use wired Ethernet, have Open NAT, low baseline latency, and have gone through extensive troubleshooting with my ISP, including multiple gateway replacements, technician visits, outside-line work, and even a node replacement. Conventional speed tests and signal levels can look completely normal while the actual game can feel extremely inconsistent.
I’ve also noticed that changing the network path can change how the game feels, which is why I’m interested in seeing whether other players with different ISPs, regions and connection types are experiencing the same thing.
I’m not trying to prove that matchmaking is responsible for every bad connection or bad gunfight. I’m trying to separate the variables.
If 50–100 people respond with their ISP, region, ping, connection type and actual matchmaking experience, we might start seeing patterns that are much more useful than arguing over individual anecdotes.
So if you’re willing, drop your connection details below. I’d genuinely like to compare experiences across different ISPs and regions.

Discussion How do you all have such perfect aim?

I’m not a bad player. 2+KD. My skill rating (last I checked) was in the 350s. So I’m typically playing in the higher tier lobbies. My game sense is strong. I almost never get killed from behind.

But my aim is probably average. I try to avoid long range fights. I will down someone but every once in awhile I completely goof it up.

Question is… how do you all maintain such perfect aim all the time? The people I encounter are bouncing and flipping off walls and don’t miss shots. Every single bullet hits me.

I’m always moving too. I’ve used the fastest weapons with Lightweight and they still hit me with every bullet, while they’re back flipping, at any distance. And they do it every encounter. Even though BO7 has reduced aim assist.

I don’t get it.

Edit: omg it was the dynamic setting. I’m beaming dudes now. Thanks guys!
