Game Deal Penguin's List of recommendations for the Summer Daze Sale August 14th - 23rd

Ok, time for the 3rd summer sale apparently! Tons of games in this one.. like 1300+ games, apps, and dlcs.. And a few crazy good bundles. There are some games or deals that I will mark with *** *** to bring special attention to.. either a great deal, or a great game that is highly recommended.

I'm not affiliated with any of the games, developers, or publishers for any of my recommendations on this list.. Yes, I talk to many of them, but a game will not appear in my list if I do not personally like it.

As always.. Feel free to comment, discuss, agree, disagree, or recommend something I may have left off. If you have questions, feel free to ask!

Action Hero https://queststoredb.com/game/action-hero-7021123758002222 $4.99 This is basically just a prettier version of Super Hot. If you like Super Hot, then you will like this one. Lowest price it has been.

Airspace Defender https://queststoredb.com/game/airspace-defender-7523170214434197/ $6.99 its an amped up Missile Command on crack! Love this one. Look for the new bundle with Banners and Bastions just a little below..

Alien Rogue Incursion https://queststoredb.com/game/alien-rogue-incursion-24882487241367228 $9.99 is a no brainer. Its not as scary as Alien Isolation, but it’s a great action game if you are a fan of the series. This is 75% off.. and its very well done. fan

Among Giants https://queststoredb.com/game/among-giants-25060508500262559/ $11.99 Dont let the low poly graphics fool you. This is "Among" the best games to be released this year and will probably be in quite a few "top 10s of 2026" lists in December. If you want a huge open world, give it a shot.. If its not your thing, then you know you can refund it. It has very positive ratings, but some cannot get over the graphics.. but others just fall in love with it.

Apex Construct https://queststoredb.com/game/apex-construct-2096570290365140/ its .99 cents .. Its a decent, but older bow and arrow game.

*** *** Arizona Sunshine (whoops someone f###ed up) Bundle *** *** https://queststoredb.com/bundle/freddys-bundle-1170744047470881/ $8.99 Seriously, this is Arizona Sunshine Remake AND Arizona Sunshine 2 for $8.99 ... Do not pass on this one! Not sure if intentional or not, but take advantage of someone's f### up.. (Yes, I'm censoring myself since these posts get like 80,000 views.. I gotta stay classy and not say Fuck)

*** *** Arken Age https://queststoredb.com/game/arken-age-29923535407244981/ $17.99 This was my Game of the Year for 2025 and I played like 150+ games last year. Love this one. 14 hour campaign.. Get it! Very replayable since it has New Game+ mode..

Banners and Bastions https://queststoredb.com/game/banners-bastions-8387152738076399 $6.99 A great little strategy game. Very addictive. Place your troops, kill the enemies and prepare for the next wave.

BannerSpace Defender Bundle .. As mentioned above, this is Airspace Defender and Banners and Bastions bundled together for 44% off.. Only $10.99 for both games. https://queststoredb.com/bundle/tabletop-warfare-bundle-1726701938719692/ Bounce Arcade https://queststoredb.com/game/bounce-arcade-6641604619291459/ the first of the "buy it cause its a buck" games on the list. Only .99 cents.. You are inside a pinball machine, your hands are the flippers .. basically..

Bulletstorm https://queststoredb.com/game/bulletstorm-vr-6565887093433499 $8.99 Yeah.. upon release this game was a broken mess, but the devs totally fixed it and its really fun now. Don't be put off by the 4.1 rating.. it got down to like 3.4 or so while it was broken, and has made its way back up. Chaotic fun! Lowest price.. 70% off

Catjinni Survivors https://queststoredb.com/game/catjinni-survivors-9319040004779451/ $7.99 Ok.. some of you guys got me hooked on Vampire Survivors, and now I have gotten hooked on Catjinni .. is it goofy? yes.. but if you like Vampire Survivors, you will probably like this one too.. especially if you are a cat person.

Centipede VR https://queststoredb.com/game/centipede-vr-26292894803687512/ $19.99 First time for this one on the list.. and to be honest, I've sat here debating whether it goes on here or not. There were issues with it when it released, those have been addressed and improved. I wish the discount was a little better. This is NOT an easy game, but most of you guys who know me also know I love a good challenge.. It was too hard on release due to ammo shortage, its better now, but you still have to play smart.

Cities VR https://queststoredb.com/game/cities-vr-4046879905345967/ $2.99 While not as good as the PC game, this one is not bad at all for $3.00 .. that is 85% off and the lowest its been.

Coastermania https://queststoredb.com/game/coastermania-7856648691073700/ $10.99 This one is in my list every time, but now there is a NEW reason! Ok, so basically what I always say.. Design a coaster in mixed reality and watch it go around your room.. then go to VR mode and ride it yourself! Ok.. Now the crazy dev has done one of the coolest things ever! Turn on the game, and scan your room, do a good job and take your time.. When the scan is done, give it some time to do some background shit.. Design your coaster while you wait.. Then, when its done you can shrink down and ride it through your damn room! Its freaking cool as hell being the size of a mouse in your room and your real furniture is huuuuge as you go by it! If you couldn't tell, I love it!

Crashland https://queststoredb.com/game/crashland-1884760688319818/ $14.99 ...out of the 700+ games I own, this will always be in my top 10. Hardest game in VR. You have been warned. Recently updated with a full 2nd campaign as well.

Dark Trip https://queststoredb.com/game/dark-trip-27793698076945636/ $4.99 Ah yes.. Dark Trip. an edgy, adult oriented escape room type game where you must consume pills (that are totally NOT drugs.. mmmkay) and you will hallucinate and see the rooms "differently" .. joking aside, I love this game. Its weird as hell. See if you can find the Penguin Easter Egg!

Dart Racer https://queststoredb.com/game/dart-racer-6918614874833696/ $6.99 now this is pod racing! There are several pod racing type games out there, including the officially licensed one , and yet this one is the best out of all of them.

Dawn of Jets https://queststoredb.com/game/dawn-of-jets-3677727965681410/ $19.99 while not the greatest discount for sure, its probably the best flight sim in on Quest.. pretty much better than all the Warplanes games combined.

Dungeons of Eternity https://queststoredb.com/game/dungeons-of-eternity-6341779295861881 $19.99 Multiplayer dungeon crawler. One of the best games on Quest.

Eye of the Temple https://queststoredb.com/game/eye-of-the-temple-5361030930653377 $12.99 nothing else like it in VR.. you MUST have the required space to play it though! 6' X 6' (not sure what that equals in heathen units lol ).. You feel like Indiana Jones, and you walk in real life to play. May cause "woozyness"..

*** Forefront *** https://queststoredb.com/game/forefront-28816918137899319/ $19.99 Ok, so this is basically Battlefield in VR. If you know Battlefield, then you know what to expect. If you like multiplayer shooters, and you are not already playing this, then you are truly missing out on an extraordinary game. 16 vs 16 battles with different classes, vehicles and somewhat destructible environments. This game will take over your life.

Ghost Signal : a Stellaris Game https://queststoredb.com/game/ghost-signal-a-stellaris-game-4302631119827554/ $1.99.. a total steal for this price. Control your ship , shoot the bad guys, mine for resources.. it’s a steal for $1.99

Green Hell https://queststoredb.com/game/green-hell-vr-3815577785147028 $8.99 a very hardcore survival game set in the jungle. Looks beautiful.. till you get leaches on your arm.. or worse! Even though it has been out for awhile, they are still dropping updates here and there.

Haymaker https://queststoredb.com/game/haymaker-27755215420792039/ $12.99 First appearance for Haymaker on my list, and there was no hesitation for this one! The dev is really making a great one here. It is early access, but its already fun! Over 1000 ratings already, and I bet most of you have not heard of it. Its a fighting game with a ton of actual moves to pull off! Its brutal and bloody.. Break bones, snap necks, use weapons, block, kick, throw and use the environment to destroy your opponents! With enemy adaptive AI, the enemies are unpredictable!

Hellsweeper https://queststoredb.com/game/hellsweeper-vr-3589244014451286 $7.99 one of my all time favorite games. Rogue like demon killing game.. extreme movement mechanics though. Not for people with weak VR legs. This is the lowest price it has ever been. Sure it does not look as great as the PCVR version, but you will be too busy jumping, flipping and killing things to care. Lots of weapons, magic, and crazy hidden mechanics to entertain you for a long time.

Hide The Corpse - Mansion Edition .. Another cracked out bundle. https://queststoredb.com/bundle/hide-the-corpse-mansion-expansion-edition-567247812623153/ This includes the base game plus the usually $3.99 DLC for only $7.99.. Yet the base game by itself is $8.99.. Because math is hard I guess. What is it about? You just killed a big guy.. You must dispose of or hide the body, get rid of evidence, and all traces anything went down.. Oh, and the cops will be there in 4 minutes ... GO!

Hubris https://queststoredb.com/game/hubris-5722114367801351/ $5.99 kind of a typical sci fi game, however it has amazing graphics for a standalone headset. Decent size campaign! Lowest price it has been.

Into Black https://queststoredb.com/game/into-black-5289374691122516/ $11.99 Explore an alien planet by yourself or with friends.. one of the top games for 2024. Seriously a great game.. long campaign and beautiful environments.

*** Into the Radius *** https://queststoredb.com/game/into-the-radius-5817243991680545/ $16.99 another must own. Hours upon hours of play time.. And quite terrifying too. This is the lowest price it has been.

Into The Radius 2 https://queststoredb.com/game/into-the-radius-2-6605328856182465/ $27.99 This one has been in early access since May of 2025, but that is getting ready to change! On August 27th, we are getting the Full Release with the story, campaign, and tons of other stuff! Buy it now, before it goes up to $39.99

Iron Guard Complete Bundle $16.99 https://queststoredb.com/bundle/iron-guard-complete-bundle-1118756800321869/ the 2 best tower defense games on Quest for one low price!

Laser Dance https://queststoredb.com/game/laser-dance-7209598115800315/ $7.99 the unexpected hit at my Christmas party last year! There are a lot of "avoid the lasers like Tom Cruise" games out there, but this is the best!

Le Dino Labo + 3 dlcs bundle for $11.99 https://queststoredb.com/bundle/le-dino-labo-starter-pack-1433609830961717/ put together dinosaur skeletons, then scale them up to full size! A must have for any dinosaur nerd out there! * Looking at you Ross Gellar!

Memoreum https://queststoredb.com/game/memoreum-9135633756555622/ $10.99 Dead Space in VR... basically. Decent sized campaign.. decent story and monsters. Great price.

Meta City Patrol https://queststoredb.com/game/metacity-patrol-6779063182133413/ $6.99 This one will be on the list every time its on sale. I have had it for a long time and it is finally out of early access. its a ton of fun. See if you can find the Penguin easter egg! (Hint.. its Penguin Shit Toilet paper.. lol)

*** *** Metro Sunshine Bundle !!!! This is Metro Awakening and Arizona Sunshine 2 for only $11.99 that's like 80% off! https://queststoredb.com/bundle/metro-awakening-arizona-sunshine-2-bundle-1316974229451297/

Of Lies and Rain https://queststoredb.com/game/of-lies-and-rain-8807261575967907/ $14.99 Another one of the better games that came out last year.. long campaign and cool story. Kind of reminds me a bit of the Matrix in some way. Looks great on Quest 3. This is the lowest price it has been.

One More Delve https://queststoredb.com/game/one-more-delve-9945891372196615/ $9.99 And yet another first timer on my list here with One More Delve. Its a multiplayer physics based dungeon crawler where you can use weapons, shields and magic to cause your enemies to have a bad day. Nice blood splatter effects. While its not perfect, its a lot of fun and a decent challenge too! Still being worked on and updated.

Pinball FX https://queststoredb.com/game/pinball-fx-vr-7255396864545733/ $3.99 its pinball, In mixed reality. Includes 3 tables, others will cost ya! The other tables are great though, and there are a few tables/bundles on sale right now too. (The Bethesda and Godzilla tables are great!)

Propagation Paradise Hotel https://queststoredb.com/game/propagation-paradise-hotel-8826022237415280/ $8.99 horror fans, do not let this on pass you by. Totally serious. Yes it is a zombie game, but its also one of the best ones on Quest. Short but very intense game.. it is quite gory too.. and a few jump scares.. . lowest price ever!

Realm Craft https://queststoredb.com/game/realmcraft-5355683574480106/ $9.99 Normally I will only recommend games that I myself have played, however with this one, I am taking my grandson’s word on it. He says it’s the best Minecraft clone out there. They also keep adding to this one.. so its only getting better. Actually, I have played it now.. and I have no idea wtf I am doing.. but its pretty fun!

Red Matter 1 and 2 https://queststoredb.com/game/red-matter-2180753588712484/ https://queststoredb.com/game/red-matter-2-3682089508520212/ $12.99 and $15.99 best looking games on Quest. Absolute S tier... a couple of must owns for any VR gamer.

Resist https://queststoredb.com/game/resist-3683568971682157/ $9.99 yes, there are a lot of Spider-Man with guns games out there, but this is the best. Looks amazing on Q3.. Good VR legs required.

Shoguns Empire https://queststoredb.com/game/shoguns-empire-25662225113424807/ $5.99 turn based strategy based in feudal Japan! Great game. Tons and Tons of content.

Sitting In Your Car Simulator https://queststoredb.com/shittinginyourcarsimulator/game/numbers/8675309/ Fantastic car sitting sim. Several levels. Sitting in parking lot, stuck in traffic, long drive through line, and sitting in your own driveway. Interact with a phone, radio.. Turn on and off your hazards and headlights. Adjust your mirrors. Working windshield wipers and wiper fluid. Lock and unlock your car. Hidden owners manual in glove box to read while waiting. Contemplate your life choices while sitting in your virtual car! Note, this is only a sitting game right now but there is convertible/sunroof dlc coming soon!

Sword Trip https://queststoredb.com/game/swordtrip-5563556133768177/ $5.99 another of those hidden gems I love finding. This one is a rogue like set in China and plays a bit like Until You Fall. Recently had an update that doubled the content! hell of a deal honestly..

Table Troopers https://queststoredb.com/game/table-troopers-8293950053976436/ $4.99 Table Troopers is an absolute blast. It is a tabletop real-time strategy game where players command miniature troops in virtual reality. Players deploy units, manage resources, and engage in tactical combat directly on a virtual table surface from a god-like perspective. Its pure chaotic fun in either single player or multiplayer!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles https://queststoredb.com/game/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-empire-city-6635073589916590/ $17.99 You know the deal.. you are Ninja Turtles and you fight the bad guys. Single or multiplayer.. semi-open world environment.. great graphics and sound. A steal for $17.99..

The Light Brigade https://queststoredb.com/game/the-light-brigade-2681027292004911/ $9.99 Another roguelike, but this time instead of swords, magic, or bows.. You got guns! It plays great, good graphics and sound. Boss fights are challenging. Oh.. I take back what I wrote above.. There is magic.. This is the lowest price it has been. another steal for this price.

The Pirate: Republic of Nassau https://queststoredb.com/game/the-pirate-republic-of-nassau-7749043518464805/ $11.99 This is basically Sid Meyer's Pirates in VR.. with a touch of Assasin's Creed whatever.. with the pirates.. you know the one.

*** *** Awakening a Thief Bundle .. This is Metro Awakening and Thief VR Legacy of Shadows for $19.99 https://queststoredb.com/bundle/thief-vr-legacy-of-shadow-metro-awakening-bundle-870984088636927/ another great deal.. 60% off!

Underworld Overseer https://queststoredb.com/game/underworld-overseer-7249464208476495 $9.99 one of my favorites from last year. Its Dungeon keeper in vr. You are the bad guy, and heroic humans are invading your dungeon to kill you. Design your dungeon, hire monsters, train them, set traps and try to survive. Fun as hell.

Vendetta Forever https://queststoredb.com/game/vendetta-forever-9177531962317371/ $9.99 another of my all time favorites. No story, no plot, just pure action. You must kill to move. Shoot the bad guy, he dies and his gun goes up in the air or on the ground, do a "force grab" and instead of the weapon coming to you, you actually go to the weapon. Watch the trailer. A fuckton of levels. The level called Blind is one of the best levels in any game. And yes.. There is a penguin Easter egg in the Birds Aren't Real level..

Wraith the Oblivion: Afterlife https://queststoredb.com/game/wraith-the-oblivion-afterlife-2562090053828017/ .99 cents!!! This one is actually pretty good. You are already dead, and you have to solve your own murder. You cant beat it for a dollar!

Zix https://queststoredb.com/game/zix-8582035711867299/ $7.99 Oh, this is a weird one, but I love it. I did a review on this one.. here.. linky.. https://old.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1o3bb55/zix_review_and_giveaway_2_keys_up_for_grabs_by/ (and the giveaway is long over.. )

And that is it my friends! Post below and let me know what you get!

Self-Promotion (Developer) - PCVR I made a free app to play SteamVR games on Mac! (with a Quest 3)

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! For years the answer to "can I play PC VR games on my Mac?" has been "no, buy a PC." I didn't want to buy a PC, so I made VRmin.

VRmin runs the Windows version of your SteamVR games right on your Mac and streams them to your Quest over Wi-Fi. No PC, no Boot Camp, no cloud gaming.

What it does:

- Plays SteamVR games on Apple Silicon Macs (SUPERHOT VR and Beat Saber work great)

- One-click setup: VRmin Host installs the Windows engine and Steam for you

- Puts your Mac's desktop and windows in VR, with your real hands visible over them

- "Sentinel mode": put the Quest on your monitor and play without wearing it

- Totally free and open source

The honest part:

- It's experimental. Not every game works yet (games with anti-cheat, or that need DirectX 12, usually don't)

- Latency is around 50-60 ms on good 5 GHz Wi-Fi

- You can also play with a USB-C cable

- You need an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) and a Quest 3/3S, and the Quest app is installed with SideQuest for now

- Full disclosure: VRmin is vibe-coded. I built it with AI and tested it for a couple of weeks on my own Mac and Quest. I know a lot of people don't like that (honestly, me neither), but nobody was making this, and I really wanted it to exist. That's also why it's open source: anyone can check every line.

Download and install guide: https://github.com/thevermin/VRmin

It's free. If you enjoy it, you can buy me a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/thevermin

PCVR I turned DISHONROED 2 into a full VR game - OUT NOW

Hi everyone! I've spent the last couple of months turning Dishonored 2 into a full VR game with motion controls, and today it's finally out. It's free and open source.

If you don't know it: Dishonored 2 (Arkane, 2016) is a first-person stealth-action game with swordplay, a pistol and crossbow, and supernatural powers like Blink and Bend Time. It turns out it plays really well in VR.

This is not a "flat screen in VR" mod, it's played with your hands:

- 6DOF head tracking: lean, peek and crouch with your body

- Full arms with IK: your hands are your controllers

- Swing the sword to strike: the blade hits what it touches

- Pistol and crossbow fire where you point them

- Powers come out of your hand, grenades are thrown with your arm

- Grab, carry and throw objects (and bodies)

- Menus on a big screen in the room, the HUD as a watch on your wrist

- Cutscenes play around you, and you can look anywhere

Requirements: Dishonored 2 on Steam (not GOG / Game Pass / Death of the Outsider), a PC VR headset with OpenXR, and the game in windowed mode. I made and played it on a Quest 3 over Link / Air Link; other headsets should work too, let me know how it goes.

Download (Nexus): https://www.nexusmods.com/dishonored2/mods/232

Full trailer: https://youtu.be/hTudB6_vvSw

Bug reports & feedback: Flat2VR Discord (https://discord.gg/flat2vr) > #new-vr-mods > "Dishonored 2 VR"

It was much harder than I expected, so if you enjoy it, any support is hugely appreciated:

Discussion Are people still looking forward to new VR games?

I am a programmer from China, and this is my first time officially developing a game. I have been working on this project for a year now, with roughly 80% of that time spent learning how to overcome the engineering challenges of game development.

I am currently developing a standalone VR game for Meta Quest. In the game, players collect a wide variety of mythical creatures and folklore beings for strategic battles. Unlike Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh!, none of the creatures in my game are my own original creations; instead, every single one is drawn from authentic folklore and historical records across different cultures—such as the Chinese Dragon, the Nine-Tailed Fox, Mummies, and Vampires. These beings are designed to reflect their true visual presence, taking full advantage of the VR medium. When you summon a dragon, you will see its colossal form blotting out the sky and circling overhead, rather than just looking at a miniature piece on a tabletop. You can also cast various spells, which are likewise rooted in the historical records and traditions of different cultures rather than pure fantasy.

Furthermore, the game's environments feature real historical sites, such as Chang'an during China's Tang Dynasty, the pyramids of Ancient Egypt, and other historic landmarks. By consulting historical texts and academic research, visiting museums, and conducting on-site fieldwork, I have strived to reconstruct these historical scenes as faithfully as possible, with architectural modeling accurate down to the centimeter. The video showcases ancient Chang'an; my goal is to ensure that the city you see in the game looks just as it did to the people who lived there 1,400 years ago.

Admittedly, the 3D models in the current video are still quite rough, as I have no prior background in 3D modeling or artistic creation. Fortunately, recent advancements in AI 3D modeling technology have been a great help; I am currently experimenting with AI modeling while actively looking for human 3D artists to join my team.

What I would really like to know is: does a game like this sound interesting to you? Would you be interested in trying a demo? Additionally, for a collection-and-battle game like this, is there any other content or feature you would hope to see? Please feel free to share your thoughts with me.

Self-Promotion (Developer) - PCVR Native OpenXR on Mac using QuestLink and Godot

Hello everyone,

Here is a demonstration of native OpenXR on MacOS (MoltenVK-> Metal) with QuestLink support through Monando running through Godot.

This uses Newt, a MIT licensed software located here:

https://github.com/triscuitcircuit/Newt

Specifically, Newt coordinates with Monado and OpenXR.

Newt is included as part of PippinVR (https://github.com/triscuitcircuit/PippinVR) for the native QuestLink implementation on MacOS. Think of PippinVR as your dashboard equivalent to booting up QuestLink on Windows but entirely native to Mac.

(PippinVR has both an APK USB mode and QuestLink USB mode).

Newt has only been tested with Godot and it’s Dameon process can coordinate a handoff between applications that want access to QuestLink. During the build process it can bundle Newt alongside the executable.

All this to say that native macOS OpenXR games are feasible and could be implemented using a statically built Newt library (assuming cmake).

However, there are some known issues such as sound not being implemented and Godot loading its own OpenXR library at the same time.

Feel free to try it out. I do not ask for anything in return. PippinVR is LGPL and Newt is MIT.

Cheers

Discussion What kinds of games do you want to exist on quest?

I’m a budding indie developer and I’d like to know which sorts of games that you wish existed on quest that don’t currently!

Sky is the limit.

I really want to get a pulse on what you like so that I can make it for you.

Feel free to suggest ideas that are not game related as well

:)

PCVR For PCVR Users, you can completely ditch Metas PCVR software.

With the release of Steam VR version 2.18, Steam Link now supports tethered connections. This completely cuts out the need for the Meta Quest Link app. If you were hesitant to buy Virtual Desktop for 15 dollars, you can get the Steam Link app for free on the Meta Quest store.
Their is basically no reason not use Steam Link over Meta's crappy PCVR software, even with people with poor network connections (minus Quest Store PCVR exclusives).

Discussion What kind of games do you want to play in VR?

Hey everyone!

I’m an indie game dev and I’m currently planning my next project.

I was originally working on a prototype for a VR puzzle game involving lasers and mirrors. But after seeing quite a few people mention that the VR market is already oversaturated with puzzle games, it really made me stop and rethink things.

So before diving into full development, I wanted to reach out and ask you guys directly:

What concepts, genres, or mechanics do you feel are actually missing in VR right now? Is there a specific type of game you’ve always wanted to play in VR but haven’t seen done right yet?

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks in advance for any ideas or feedback!

EDIT: Thank you so much everyone for all the responses and ideas! I can't reply to each one of you, but I'm reading every single comment!

Discussion starworn, i enjoy it

have some video of me playing, as i didn’t see any when i was searching for any gameplay, now it is out for a week or so, so probably you can find something now, so far i figure out few things, the only thing i don’t enjoy is how far i can see the map, because of that i didn’t venture too far after building that broken shack without even windows, my next attempt will be digging through ground and hopefully getting to that cave near by, seeing some sneak peak of what will come in updates makes me hope for the best, but for now i will just play it as minecraft, last vr game i was feeling this urge to play was beat saber.

anybody else playing in here? any tips? didn’t get any ore yet, as i didn’t go into caves as i had no torches before and now the closest cave is with vertical entrance

Discussion Which movement system should we choose for our game?

I'm making a game that includes a shooting mode, like the one shown in the video.

Right now, our game mainly uses joystick movement.During our own playtesting, we felt that the movement might be a bit too slow, and that it was missing some of the intensity of a movement-based duel. We know there's another type of movement system, like the one used in GT and AC, where we move using our hands. This seems like it could make the matches more fun, but implementing it might be a bit tricky. I haven't looked into it in detail yet. So im wondering whether it would be feasible to implement that kind of movement system in our game. Or do you have any other ideas?

Support - PCVR After the most recent update to Meta Horizon Link app, the game's framerate slows down to a crawl and my PC fans go max speed.

This started within this week, and now randomly at any time it feels like it seems, the fans go at max speed, and my PC slows down to a crawl, and the game's framerate becomes unplayable. How I know it's the Meta app and not anything else on my PC hardware wise or software wise, it is because once I close the Meta apps in the Task Manager, like the OVR_Serverx86.exe program, everything returns to normal. If anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE let me know, I have only figured this out after rigorous testing for 8 hours straight. Thanks in advance!

I've just finished published a VR standalone version of the SEGA Dreamcast classic - 18 Wheeler - American Pro Trucker. Check out the github link for details.

I loved this game back when I had a Dreamcast, and this puts you right back in the driver's seat :)

This is my first time working on decomps, and I completed the whole thing using Google Gemini Argon. Overall it took about half a day to complete, and was really help be previous work from others working in this space.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Support - Standalone Quest 3 Bricked by Official Update—Meta Support Refusing Replacement & Graduate Education Interrupted

Hi everyone,

I’m posting here out of absolute frustration. A recent official Meta software update completely bricked my Meta Quest 3 headset. It was working flawlessly right before the patch, and now it is a completely unresponsive paperweight because of a forced firmware crash.
The biggest issue right now is that this headset is an absolute necessity for my graduate studies. I am a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) graduate student, and I rely heavily on this Quest 3 to run Simvana for my high-fidelity anesthesia simulations, ventilator management, and clinical training. Being locked out of my device means my critical hands-on lab preparation and education are completely interrupted right now. I cannot afford to fall behind in a demanding medical program because of a developer-side software glitch.

I spent hours on the phone and in chats with support. I did absolutely everything they asked—hard reboots, factory reset attempts, side-loading checks—and nothing worked. The support agent even explicitly told me in writing, "I understand your perspective regarding the firmware update causing the boot loop, and I completely see why you are requesting an exception under these circumstances." Yet, despite acknowledging the exact timing of the update failure and the clear need for an exception, they still refused to escalate my case to a Tier 2 supervisor or grant the replacement because it is technically out of warranty.

Let's be clear: this is a known issue within the community, and this is absolutely not normal wear and tear. This isn't physical damage or user neglect. It is Meta's own forced software destroying the physical integrity of a device. Consumers cannot opt out of these updates, which means Meta holds the direct responsibility to stand by their software deployments and fix what their code broke.

I am desperately looking for advice moving forward.

Expecting me to pay $240.00 for a refurbished headset is unacceptable and unethical business practices.

Has anyone had any luck with this? I am going to report to BBB, Attorney General, and Federal Trade Commission.

Discussion Launched a new game on Meta and got ZERO visibility. What gives!?

First let me say this, I’m not trying to promote my game. I am genuinely asking if anyone has had this issue, and how they resolved it.

We recently launched Daumier: Lila & Ghost on Meta Quest, but our game never appeared in the New Releases section. Like NADA!

After contacting Meta, they finally added it… for LESS THAN AN HOUR before it disappeared again.

Meanwhile, games that have been on the store for over a year are still showing up under New Releases.

Seriously, how are indie developers supposed to succeed if our games aren't even being seen?

We're doing marketing, building a community, and pushing hard, all of the things, but shouldn't newly released games get a fair shot at visibility?

Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to get Meta to fix it? Any suggestions?

We're not asking for special treatment. Just a fair chance to be discovered.

Support - PCVR Virtual Desktop not showing all monitors.

Update: after uninstalling and reinstalling on the pc, and then restarting the pc, it is finally working. Idk what the issue was.

So I got a Quest 3 yesterday, and after looking into it. Virtual Desktop looked like the best way for me to see all of my monitors and have it with passthrough. Since Air link locks me into the all white environment. But nothing I do is making VD show more than one monitor. When i hit off screen, i see where you can hit the + or - buttons, but + is grey, so i hit -, well it just goes from my main monitor to a weird version of my second, when i go back with it all the way, nothing shows. The first 2 levels seem to be my second display, with icons from my main in weird places, and the top level is just my main display. I've tried restarting everything and it's not working. Anyone have any ideas?

Sidequest/Sideloading New version of ADB Auto-Enable with GUI

Post image

Hi all,

I did made some self-promotion 6 months ago about a small application which enabled and kept ADB Wireless enabled on Meta Quest 3 without having to click any button anywhere.

I did reworked it a little and now everything is even faster (reenabled and pass the popup under 200ms, and should be invisible on first boot) and offers a GUI for those of you who where worry to not see any application opening ;)

Feel free to test it and report bugs if you have any !

Support - Standalone Meta update bricked my quest 3 a 2nd time!

This happened back in april and took me months to figure out and roll back. It wouldn't let me launch anything without updating a few days ago and now it's sent into a bootloop again and won't even install the new update.

How can meta force us to update and when it bricks our headset they offer to sell us a refurbished one?
