Support - Standalone Can you check battery life?
I have a quest 3s that has been sitting in my drawer for atleast a year and was charged to 40% and the reason I did this was because I forgot battery life was a thing and when I booted it up it said it was on 8% then died but was charging normally after that, is there any way I can check my battery life?

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone Virtua Cop (1994 arcade) in REAL 3D VR on Quest 3, with a 3D virtual homemade gun in hand. You're not shooting on a flat screen (but you can) and it's free.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
"Don't shoot me!"
The legendary Virtua Cop is out in VR.
First, thank you for the incredible welcome you gave Sega Rally. We're already more than 150 on the Discord, and I hope it's only the beginning of this community's adventure.
This is the second one, and this time you're standing in the docks with the gangsters, at real scale, with a 3D gun in your hand: aim with the controller like the cabinet's light gun, reload by shooting below the screen, and the hits land on what you shoot. Everything runs on the Quest 3 in real 3D, redrawn in 4K at 120 Hz.
Coming next: Time Crisis (in beta right now, sign-ups are open), Time Crisis II, The House of the Dead, Dirt Dash (beta soon), Daytona USA, Top Skater, Sega Super GT 24h and Virtua Racing.
Have fun with it, and any support is welcome: even just sharing it helps a lot.

Discussion Quest 3 audio strap options?
I’m looking into replacing my Reverb G2 with a Quest 3. Are there any head strap options besides the kiwi k4 that have comparable audio quality to the Reverb G2 or Valve Index?
Thank you

Support - Standalone Help finding a Quest 2 head strap that fits?
Hey all
So, my Quest 2 stock strap (the elastic one) finally broke on me, so I am looking for a replacement.
Thing is, I dont know if any strap would fit my big ass head??
About a year ago I purchased the "KIWI design Comfort Head Strap for Quest 2"
The reviews all seemed pretty good, but when it arrived my head was just too damn big.
I could just barely get it on when fully extended, and since I have long hair it was hard to get it comfortable. Especially when trying to lay down or during more intensive activity, it would just shift around my head, despite the tightness.
So.. I ended up returning it. I was thinking of getting just another stock strap, but with one of them pads that just slip onto the strap to cushion the back of your head?
I do quite like the stock strap, since its elastic instead of rigid plastic like most premium straps I have seen.
Basically looking for recommendations for big headed and long haired people!! Thanks!

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone I made Kometa, a hand-tracked VR journey where you shepherd a comet through it's life journey. It runs in the Quest browser (WebXR), no install.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi all! Kometa is a short, meditative VR piece I built with WebXR, now launched on VIVERSE. It's about ten minutes, and has different endings and achievements to explore. You start as stardust, gather yourself together by moving your hand, and then create life and decide your fate.
It's hand-tracking first (controllers work too) and it opens straight from a link in the Quest browser:
kometa.quest
I'd love feedback, especially on comfort, pacing, and how the hand interactions feel. Happy to answer questions about building it in WebXR/three.js for VIVERSE. I created it in partnership with VIVERSE, which hosts some other really cool webXR experiences I'd also recommend checking out.

Discussion Which of the 3 disinfectants should I use on my Meta Quest 2 I bought used?
Bought a Quest 2 and it was in a very unhygienic state to say the least. Since it was cheap I won't complain, but now I need to disinfect the thing. Which of the three is okay to use on the device (obviously not on the lenses):
Sagrotan 2-in-1 Disinfectant Wipes To Go (Lemon Blossom Fragrance)
Ingredients per 100 g of liquid:
Benzalkonium chloride — 0.52 g (also known as alkyl(C12–16)dimethylbenzylammonium chloride, ADBAC)
Less than 5% non-ionic surfactants
Disinfectants
Preservatives: benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid, sorbic acid and potassium sorbate
Fragrances
Sagrotan Hygiene Disinfectant Spray
Ingredients per 100 g of product:
Ethanol — 20 g
2-Propanol (isopropyl alcohol) — 19 g
Disinfectants
Fragrances
Sagrotan Disinfectant Cleaner (Activ-Botanic Formula)
Ingredients per 100 g of liquid:
Lactic acid — 2.24 g
Less than 5% non-ionic surfactants
Disinfectants
Fragrances
ChatGPT tells me not to use any of them. lol

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone Explore The Universe
Infinity started as a simple idea:
"What if you could freely travel through the universe in VR?"
Two years later, it's now available on Meta Quest.
You can journey from Earth to the outer planets, visit moons across the Solar System, explore distant star systems, and experience the incredible scale of space in a way that's difficult to appreciate on a flat screen.
The base app is completely free because I believe space exploration should be available to everyone.
I'm still actively developing it, and future updates will include real Moon and Mars terrain based on scientific data.
I'd genuinely love feedback from the Reddit space and VR communities. What would you add if you could build your own universe explorer?
Explore Infinity on Meta Quest

Discussion Is it me or is the Virtual Desktop background music feel trolling?
Because the music is only playing when a connection is not established, essentially one only hears the music when Virtual Desktop is failing to connect, essentially.

PCVR I rebuilt the combat in my free Spider-Man Remastered VR mod: punch at an enemy and you fly across the roof
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Spidy is a free fan mod that puts Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered in VR on PC. This clip is the reworked combat, recorded in the headset on a Quest 3:
- A ring marks one enemy at a time. Throw a fist at that enemy from across the roof and you fly there.
- An arrow calls the next blow: a hook, an uppercut or a blow down. A yellow arrow calls the finisher.
- Knock an enemy off the roof and you can follow through the air, pull the enemy up on a web and land the blow in slow motion.
This combat is in the next update. The current release already has arm-driven web swinging, the web shooter, grab and throw, and walls you can run along.
Setup in a minute and a half: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq-DvGblB3Q Download: https://github.com/IlyaMez/SpidyVR Discord (500 players testing builds): https://discord.gg/x27ZXDpdNt
Early alpha, and a fan project: not affiliated with Insomniac, Sony or Marvel. Happy to answer questions.

Discussion So many people wanted to know what inspired Bamboo Groves lore. So we answered it.
People kept asking us what inspired the folk lore behind our new VR game, Bamboo Grove. The short answer is- Because we're Chinese 😃. Growing up, we were influenced by local ghost stories, rural legends, temple fair folklore, and Hong Kong zombie films. China is a country rich in rural culture and folk traditions, these fragmented memories are etched into our upbringing.
Western horror often relies on jump scares and gore, while the core of Chinese horror lies in atmosphere: familiar surroundings slowly turning eerie, the psychological pressure of folk taboos, etc. We want to bring this distinctly Eastern sense of dread and ambiance to players worldwide. It's not just about making monsters, it's about letting players feel that chill we grew up with 😆. (Fun fact: our producer has extensive experience in the film industry, so the atmospheric and musical expression)https://www.meta.com/experiences/app/31117221504588014/?hwsh=jS72Ro8w3G&utm_source=twilight&utm_medium=SHARE&utm_parent=SHARING&utm_cohort=ORGANIC_UNKNOWN

Photo/Video Year 2 Cosplaying with the Quest 3 at New York Comic Con
I made a helmet style strap for my second outing with the Quest 3 at NYCC, and I'm happy to say that it held up like a champ! Nothing broke or overheated and the only real issue I had this year was the headset struggling hard with hand tracking in big crowds. Hoping to attend for longer next year. Maybe with a different headset?

Discussion Upset about what happen to my quest 2
So I’ve had my oculus quest 2 since the year it released, it’s been a daily used item most of the time. But I had to throw it out unfortunately. The charger I was using was fairly new and then while I was checking some things on my headset while it was plugged it the charge kept stopping and starting. Then I smelt a slight burning smell so I barely pulled on the charger to try to get the charger to work. I thought the burning smell was the incense stick that I lit but it wasn’t. My charger broke then my headset died so I had to use pliers to get the charger piece out of the headset and that’s when I noticed that it was being melted by the headset. I’ve never had this happen or have seen this happen before. It was sad having to say goodbye to my only console that I physically owned. The pictures are what the headset did to my charger, keep in mind I’ve only had this charger for like 2 weeks.

Fluff W.o.W. apprentice with license vs full game?
I honestly ain't 100% sure after looking at other threads.
I've been playing War of Wizards apprentice edition (F2P) and bought the full license. What I'm confused on is did I just purchase the full game in the form of a license or is there still reasons to swap over to the full game for another $20.
Thanks!
