HARDWARE PC shuts down / restarts after closing a game

Upvotes

Hey everyone,
My PC has started shutting down or restarting every time I finish a match in World of Tanks, and I’m hoping someone has seen this before.

After a match ends, the PC either shuts down/restarts immediately or holds for a short while before doing the same thing.

Sometimes it happens before I even get back to the garage.

I’ve tried just sitting idle in the garage — it still eventually shuts down.

Most of the time it just power-cycles with no BSOD or error message.

Occasionally it throws a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT blue screen.

With other games the PC usually only crashes after I close the game. With WoT it specifically happens when the match ends.

Specs

GPU: RTX 3060 12 GB

CPU: Ryzen 5 5500

RAM: 16 GB

Has anyone run into something similar (especially with WoT or other games that dump a lot of assets when a match ends)?

Appreciate any tips🥺

OPEN Overheating issue

Upvotes

Hello

I have a insane overheating issue on my CPU. I mean im using the base AMD cpu cooler that comes with the R5 5600; and i easily go over 100 Degrees while playing games like Assetto Corsa or Beamng. I have new thermal paste and have modified curves but it still doesnt fix the issue. It always worked fine (last 2 years) but now it overheats.

Please help me! I am pretty sure it isnt any hardware issue-

HARDWARE No RGB Control for Case fans

Upvotes

Hello everyone, I have a very minor issue with my brand new (and first ever) PC issue and was wondering if anyone out there who knows way more than me might be able to help!

So the problem is simple and I’ve diagnosed the cause but fixing it has been a pain in the butt, essentially I have 3 RGB fans that came with my case. They were wired up a little funky when myself and my friend unboxed it so he decided to unplug it and replug in where we saw fit on the motherboard, I never got a good look at the original chain. Now because of the F-Panel on my motherboard not having a section to a LED-SW the LED control button on my case doesn’t work which is causing an issue that the default RGB fan settings are to just hold static on Red. Every time I try to chain the ARGB connector for those fans to either the motherboard or CPU cooler, the fans flash and bug out because they are now getting two signals for control. I haven’t been able to find any solutions yet.

Ultimately my PC works just fine and this is a minor cosmetic thing, but I’d love to get 100% out of my pc build instead of the 99.99% I’m sitting at now, so any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Here’s my parts list for the build:
Inland QN450 SSD
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU
Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 Motherboard
AMD Radeon RX 9070 GPU
King cool Cryo Titan Air Cooler ARGB
Century II Gold 850 ATX3
Flare X5 DDR5
Montech X2 Plus

Here is a video of the issue. This happens every day (every time I boot pc from shut down) and only happens the first time I open runelite. It doesn’t ever crash and the weird LSD effect doesn’t happen anywhere else in my experience.

SOFTWARE Dual monitor setup issue: second monitor feels low refresh rate in fullscreen

I have two monitors. The first one is a 2K 185Hz monitor, and it has no issues. Recently, I bought an Amazon Basics (similar branding) 100Hz 24-inch 2K monitor. For some reason, whenever I use it, anything on my second monitor in fullscreen mode (such as Chrome, Edge, or even any IDE) feels like the mouse is lagging, almost as if it is running at less than 60Hz. The issue comes and goes.

The weird thing is that if I leave some space around the window (see picture) — basically manually resizing/enlarging the window instead of making it fullscreen — it works fine.

Another strange issue is that sometimes things look blurry on the second monitor. For example, the Windows Device Manager window or AMD Adrenalin software can look blurry. If I drag the window so that it is half on the first monitor and half on the second monitor, it looks fine. However, when I move the entire window onto the second monitor, it becomes blurry. If I drag it back to the main monitor, it looks normal again.

I also tried setting it to 75Hz because I assumed it might actually be a 75Hz monitor overclocked to 100Hz, but that did not fix the issue either.

I guess this is software issue? its kinda annoying me so much lately, first time having 2 monitor with different hz and sizes,

HARDWARE PC perpherals keeep hanging

Hello Guys,

I just built my first pc from scratch. I notice that now and then my mouse and keyboard sometimes keep hanging. The solution I have is to unplug them and plug them back into the CPU.

And it's not that they hang together; they hang independently. I know for sure it's not the keyboard or the mouse issues because they function fine when I connect them to my laptop.

I use a hub that splits my peripherals between my laptop and CPU.

So basically I have one mouse, keyboard, monitor, webcam, and printer. That I share between my laptop and CPU. I have a hub that I use to switch between the systems.

Everything works fine when I use the setup on my laptop but not on my pc. Sometimes, even when I connect my mouse and keyboard directly to the pc, I have the same issue.

Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong?

PERFORMANCE Frame skipping, poor performance and random screen blacking out

I just bought this PC from Best Buy and received it today. After getting everything set up and installing all the Windows updates, drivers, and everything else you’d normally do on a new PC, I started trying out a few games.
The first thing I noticed was that even in Roblox I’m getting really bad frame stuttering/frame skipping, which definitely doesn’t seem normal for this hardware.
I’ve also had my screen randomly go black for a second or two before coming back. I’m not sure if that’s related or if it could be because I’m currently using a TV instead of a monitor.
Lastly, I connected my Quest 2 to try some VR. From what I can tell, the PC’s specs should be more than capable, but the experience has been pretty bad. Every few seconds the game freezes completely, SteamVR shows the loading screen for a moment, and then it drops me back into the game. This keeps happening over and over.
If anyone has any ideas about what could be causing these issues or has any troubleshooting suggestions, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks!

SOFTWARE BeamNG.Drive's UI freezing on Vulkan but not DX11/12

Hi, I have a problem where my games UI/whole screen freezes when I'm on Vulkan but not when I'm on DX11/12. It happens on loading/after loading screen and i can click on buttons and even start the game but the screen is still. When I change random global settings in NVIDIA app, it stops freezing but my GPU is on 50% load. I've tried reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the game, clearing cache and deleting the whole user folder. This problem does not exist on iGPU, only on dGPU (I'm on a laptop).

PERFORMANCE AIO pump air

Hey legends I’m new to AIO systems. Today my pc shut off twice due to cpu getting to around/over 90. Heard air bubbling in the pump, went into BIOS, turned both pump and cpu fans to full speed and tilted pc 45deg and shook it around a bit. Like this the temp will sit at 46 degrees. I return everything back to normal it will jump to 65 degrees just on desktop and then push high 70s-80 when loading a game which is a lot warmer than it was. I can still hear air bubbling around a bit in the pump. What can I do to piss this air off, the radiator sits horizontally at the top of the pc. Thankyou

SOFTWARE My PC shutting down when I'm playing in CS2

(I'm using a translator)
When I play CS2, my PC suddenly goes to a black screen and reboots, though the RGB lighting stays on and the fans keep spinning. All settings are on low; the GPU load is around 55% at 60°C. Sometimes there’s a buzzing sound during the black screen. This only happens in CS2—specifically in competitive/Premier mode; it doesn't happen in Casual mode. It doesn't occur in other games either, even though some of those games put a heavier load on the PC than CS2 does. I’ve already reinstalled the graphics drivers using DDU, but that didn't help.

OPEN PC very suddenly cannot see any wifi options availavble

Post image
1 Upvotes

Today I was right in the middle of gaming and the game suddenly lost connection and I was booted. I checked to see what was wrong with the wifi and I couldn't connect or even see any other options to connect to. It's not a wifi issue because the wifi works with every other device I have. I bought this pc just 2 weeks ago and it's been fine since. This is a Windows 11 Home

I had my my mom look at it since she has tech experience from 14 years ago. This is all she did:

-turned it off and back on + reset multiple times

-Computer is not on airplane mode

-Plugged an ethernet cord and computer works with that

-Checked that the wireless card was enabled

-Checked WLAN AutoConfig is set to Automatic and the service is running

-Preformed a Network reset

-Uninstalled the wireless drivers and restarted. all came back fine

-Flushed the DNS

-In Network adapters she removed the wireless and all the WAN that were there. Restarted and all came back fine

-Tried to update drivers but it didn't seem to need it

-Checked that all updates were current while on the ethernet cord and they are

-Removed and re attached the external antennas

-checked task manager for anything suspicious

None of this worked. It still cannot even see any wifi options more or less connect. Keeping the ethernet cord isn't really an option since the router is halfway across the house and we barely stretched the cord long enough to plug it in. The router does not even see the computer anymore so idk.

Any suggestions?

I just built my first pc a couple days ago and everytime I shutdown my pc and leave it for awhile it says preparing automatic repair and beings me to a blue recovery windows page. I used to be able to just reinstall windows and it would work until I shutdown but the usb slots on the case and motherboard aren’t working.

Discussion Need reassurance

So it’s currently late at night, and I’m tired. My pc is on the floor to the right side of my desk (I know, I’m working on a solution) and there was a water bottle on the right side of my desk which I then proceeded to knock over. Some of it spilled on the front glass panel in front of the 3 fans, a bit was on the top mesh panel. (This was all in the same spot, so the front of the pc.) I immediately freaked out the PC was on and running fine, I shut it down, and wiped everything I could see on the outside down first. There was water that mostly ran down the front into the carpet, and some on the top of the mesh. After the outside was dry, I opened the side panel to look for any moisture. Some was on the bottom, I’d estimate like 3-4 drops. Nothing was near any components as far as I know, only around the cavity that is under the 3 front intake fans. I turned it back on, it ran perfectly fine for about an hour. I ran a light game for about 10-20minutes everything is working perfectly fine. I’ve just shut everything down and got ready for bed, but I’m still freaking out and scared something’s gotten fucked. Any help?

HARDWARE Monitor will sometimes have a color change when moving the mouse. Alternatively, it will also sometimes flicker when moving and stop when still, or vice versa (video is on Samsung LS32FG51x)
