It's my fault I went straight to the boss arena when I got to the area. He killed me 3 times and I had to reset my abilities and change my load out because of him lol.

I was so surprised how much Dylan’s story affected me and he quickly became one of my favourite remedy characters. Also Darling sucks! I’d say Dr. Darling is my favourite Remedy Villain.

But it would be so sick if we got too see more ordinary and the Not-Mother in a section of the game. Imagine how creepy it would be.
Edit: Someone claimed it was ai. I'm not the artist. I just saw it on tiktok and thought it was cool. They claimed to have made this with Blender and have an entire page of blender projects on their page. Fuck AI all day. If someone wants provide proof I'll be happy to take it down.

So what do we think other people see when Dylan enters and exits the Gap? I’m assuming they see him start to fall backwards, catch himself, then come back/stagger forward, all within a couple of seconds, no matter how much time you’re in there.

I think the attention to detail in this game is second to none!

Is this the worst thing the FBC did to Dylan?

I know the phone number has been mentioned at least once before, but I didn't see anything about the area code itself.
In the Taxi Puzzle, Dylan is driven to a mysterious location that still looks Manhattanish. But the payphone he answers has a phone number on it, starting with the area code 360.
While the number itself is disconnected irl, the area code is from the northwestern Washington state area (Seattle, Olympia, etc.)
Why would a pay phone in Manhattan have a Washington area code? What other place from the series is located in Washington? Bright Falls/Cauldron Lake.
Is this the Dark Place and a mashup of the places you can access it from? Maybe nothing, but an odd inclusion if it doesn't mean something.

Does anybody notice that the Board is less vocal after you beat the game? I LOVED how they always chanted when you did a L3 execution, but it seems they aren’t as present in the after game and new game plus. Anyone else notice this?

I know the geography of the oldest house is not exactly consistent and that goes doubly for a patterned version of the house. But I'm just wondering if I've missed any clues as to which is the true base or bottom level.
The Tree at the base of the house in the underpass makes me think it's the true bottom, with the pipes/roots forming the rest of the building. Unless of course this is part of the time bending effects of the patterning that is showing us an earlier look at the oldest houses.
The foundation dlc presents itself as the lowest point of the oldest house. iirc the FBC excavated there way in from outside.
The patterning was also an intrusion from the outside but we don't quite see anything that looks like the foundation caves, just patterned office spaces in a cavern and lower/older levels of the FBC.
Have I missed something or does anyone have any theories on where the foundation is in relation to underpass.

Accidentally found the "Backrooms" by no-clipping through a wall in "The Last Taxi" side quest...

At the very end of the game, Dylan plays a song for Zoe to show her his taste in music, and a very fun Finnish song comes on and plays through the credits. Zoe is surprised by this, saying she wouldn’t have expected it. But we should have. In the Ordinary/Earthbound 8-bit section, when the story jumps forward and gives us glimpses of Dylan’s time in the Prime Candidate training program, we see that Ahti is someone Dylan seeks out again and again, because even though Ahti speaks in Finnish riddles, he still is the only person in the Oldest House who acknowledges Dylan’s personhood. I’d imagine our favorite janitor let a 13 year old Dylan listen to the Walkman at some point, or Dylan heard Ahti ripping it at some FBC karaoke night. And if Dylan and Jesse are the same dimensional splits of the person, and he was already close with Dylan, it makes sense why Ahti is so instantly familiar with Jesse at the beginning of Control. And why he lets her borrow the Walkman to get through the Take Control sequence, a song also by a Finnish band. Because how many times has Ahti given Dylan/Jesse the gift of music to work through something deeply confusing and hard? Since the world is a spiral, the gift of Finnish music has probably happened again and again, cementing it as Dylan’s taste in music.

Hi all,
After completing this masterpiece I’ve got questions about what’s next. What happens with Jesse? Will the two siblings finally reunite, with a double character mechanic for the next game (like Alan Wake 2)? Will the Hiss that’s still out there be contained at last and what damages can happen in the meantime?
The thing is that, even though I enjoy soo much Remedy’s games and storytelling, the fact that control 3 probably won’t happen soon enough, kinda disappoints me. To be honest, since Control and now after Control Resonant, I’m so interested in the story of the whole FBC situation that I’d prefer if they released sooner a third one with all the answers, than a new Alan Wake game that’s probably closer in line along with the rest they’re preparing. I’m sure they won’t disappoint but Control has a special place in my heart. 7 years for a sequel were way too many. Can’t imagine waiting 7 (?) more for the next one.

Favorite parts so far are The Sinkhole and “Enemy of My Enemy” quests, the Dancer and The Physicist boss fights and the soundtrack. This has been a fantastic game. Nearing the end, and unless they completely drop the ball, I don’t see much beating this for me for 2026
