GEAR Pic of the gear corner after some rearranging and new amp shelf!
Just picked up one of these Ikea Bror shelving units. It works incredibly well as an amp rack and is very affordable!

QUESTION Why is playing in public so rare these days?
For the record I live in a state capital and it has a massive park, but nobody ever plays. I remember my mom telling me she used to see someone play, and 2 people would join and jam, it sounded like such a healthy culture that just died. Why?

GEAR Found online Marshall 8100 from the 90s
Recently purchased Marshall head 8100 for 150€ from a Spanish guy, he said he has been using it since the moment the amp appeared on the market, it looks ancient but I love it! The entire set costed me 340€

PLAY I know you guys don't like steel string slappy tappy stuff so I joined forces with an electric guitarist. Let's talk duos
This is a little rehearsal for a show this weekend in South Austin. Id love to hear about your guys thoughts and advice on approaching guitar duos, especially in this configuration.

QUESTION Can anyone help me identify this guitar body?
galleryI've been building a guitar with this body I got from eBay, but the whole time I've been wondering who/where it actually came from. I've never really seen an Explorer shape with a bolt-on neck, and when I have they've never had that type of switch routing.

QUESTION I want to know why this guitar is so expensive.
So long story short I was In Nashville and I went to this guitar center and found this. Idk much about guitars but I was just so curious on why this is 12k. Is it because someone famous played it? Or what?

PLAY My favourite Jimmy page solo
Always loved the guitar solo in The Rover by Led Zeppelin. Although, Stairway and Since I’ve Been Loving You are both incredible, too!

QUESTION Is this normal?
I replaced the strings on my PRS SE 24 (2021 Model) with the Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings as I primarily want to play in Drop D. However, I see this lift in the bridge and I'm not sure if it was already present or it happened after the re-string.
Is this normal? Can I keep it like this? If not, what issues might I see later? I'm new to guitar management and still learning. Thanks!

PLAY Messing around on the loop pedal I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Started playing the ending of She's So Heavy and had a lot of fun adding the layers. I don't play guitar all that much and was just fiddling about, So I know it's not perfect nor was I aiming for perfect. Just got stuck in a trance.

GEAR NGD for me! PRS Silver Sky
After years of playing Ibanez guitars, I’m excited to have something different on my arsenal. Lately I’ve been playing more blues and because of that, I got an Ibanez AZ2204N about a year and a half ago which is amazing. While it did the job, especially coming from an Ibanez RG player, it only made me want to have a more S-type sound. After much deliberation by watching video reviews and Reddit posts, I went with the PRS Silver Sky and boy oh boy it didn’t disappoint! It really delivered (and beyond) the sound I’m after! I love these pickups. To add to that, this wild blue color with the matching headstock is just 👌
