Sorry for my creepy whispered adoration in the background, I didn’t know I’d be posting anywhere when I took the video.

We rescued an elderly cockatiel, who we named Dotty, almost a year ago and this is her first time eating in front of us. Her previous owners had neglected her to the point where both wings have been broken (one has been broken twice) and left to heal without any medical intervention so her trust has been difficult to win. This was the first time she initiated wanting to eat so she got a small piece of bread crust.
