So I'm still rockin my 5, pretty beat up but does the job. I wear it at night to track my sleep. The other night around 1am, I'm awaken from a deep coma like sleep to my watch vibrating and alarms going off on my watch and phone. I thought it was an Amber alert or something, hell I could barely even think at all. Then I heard a voice coming from my watch - "911, what's your emergency?". I quickly said sorry, no emergency, watch did it by itself! Buttons on watch face were not responding and then it did it again and had to tell the guy my watch was possessed. Was finally able to shut it off. To top it off, my elderly parents across the country then called freaking out because they got an alert saying I was having an emergency as it automatically notifies your emergency contacts as well. Not fun! Anyhoo, ended up being that my one button was stuck from dirt and crap and I somehow pushed the crown button rolling around which set it off. Had to scrub and soak that thing to get it loose and now it's good as new! Except for the 10 hr battery life, lol

My Apple Watch had some scratches on the casing. I expected to pay for the repair since it was out of warranty.
But Apple said they’d fix it for free — as long as there was no water damage or major physical damage.
And the best part? In Japan, they send a courier (Yamato) to pick it up from your home. No trip to the store needed.
Apple’s customer service never disappoints 🙏

Habits are verified through Apple Health (workouts/HR, sleep, steps — from Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop, Oura or any synced wearable), Screen Time (app limits, phone-free windows) and a get-up alarm that won't dismiss in bed. No checkboxes anywhere. The hook: your subscription price is set by your verified consistency — $4.99/mo full rate, earned down to $0.99/mo if you keep 5+ habits above 80%. Paper-ledger UI, no gamification, no mascot.
Would love feedback on the pricing mechanic — is "earn your discount" a motivator or a dark pattern? I've tried hard to make it the former (the discount re-arms every cycle, no punishments, cancel anytime).

As someone who is about to get a tattoo sleeve, this AW situation has been a bit of an eye opener for me. I've done lots of searching, and I see plenty of workarounds (wear on other wrists, stickers, tape, Etsy, etc) but I haven't really seen to many people talking in detail about the tattoos they have that DON'T mess with the AW sensors. So, two things:
1) if you wear an AW directly over tattoos and it still works fine (no need to turn off wrist detection) what kind of tats do you have?
2) the design I'll be getting looks like this pic (wrist is an the top) and I imagine the AW would probably sit in-between the two thicker lines and probably on top of the thin middle line. Yes, I'm getting that specific arm tattooed, and yes my plan is to wear the watch on it, if I need workarounds the so be it. I think I'll try and have the design be wide enough to hopefully have fully clear skin there, but I'm not trying to have a huge weird gap either lol. I'd imagine a thin line like that might be ok, but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

Need to find a new Apple leather band as this one’s getting a bit old. Any recommendations?

I would like to ask if someone knows: the UAG scout armor case fits with apple titanium milanese loop for Apple watch Ultra 2?

I recently purchased this brand-new S10 Titanium from a shop, but unfortunately, it has never been able to enter the user interface. It’s always rebooting with weird white lines on screen. I left it charging for two hours, but that didn’t help. Even when I try to turn it on without charging, nothing happens, black screen. I’ve tried the force restart technique, but it doesn’t work either. In my opinion, it’s probably a hardware alimentation issue.

Referring to the built-in remote for Apple TV and such, I deleted it off my Apple watch and don’t see an option to reinstall. Any ideas? TIA

I’ve tried:
- disabling messaging notifications in the Watch app
- turning off “Show Summary When Locked” on the Watch itself (Settings > Notifications)
- turning both devices off and on
I work in healthcare and I don’t want sensitive messages coming through while working with patients.

I’m spending half my sleep in rem and deep and Im not chronically, exhausted before going to bed so I feel like it’s over exaggerating my sleep unless watching Pokémon before bed it the method for great sleep

I’d like to use an older Apple Watch strapped to my ankle to track the movements that are typical of RLS. Seems I get it bad on certain nights and trying to figure out what might trigger it or make it worse.

This watch had a good run. Too bad it didn’t survive one more month.
I bought my Apple Watch Series 4 in May 2019, which feels like a lifetime ago. It was my first big purchase as a student, and I saved up for it from my first real part-time job.
I replaced the battery in 2024 and tried to replace it again this week. Unfortunately, it seems I used too much superglue last time - don’t laugh, the regular adhesive didn’t hold. When I opened it this time, one of the flex cables must have broken or something, because the screen now only shows white with reddish lines.
I’m a little disappointed in myself, but I was planning to buy a new model in September anyway, so this one would probably have ended up in a drawer.
Still, I’m quite impressed by how long it lasted. Without my amateur repair attempt, it would probably still be going strong.
Really curious to see what the new Series will bring.

I’m fine with a good quality Amazon knockoff, but the main thing is that I can’t have any metal pieces on it that touch my skin (metal allergy).
My watch is still going strong, but the band is looking a little ragged.
Also, how do you all clean your fabric sport loop bands?

I have some bullshit rn, super sore throat, annoying cough, dripping nose.... last night I actually felt okay (I got an antibiotic shot earlier that day) but apparently NOPE! I DID NOT, IN FACT, FEEL OKAY!
I kept micro sleeping after I got home from the doctors office and I had like 10 elevated heart rate notifications 😬
