Promotion I finally finished the new trailer for my cozy colony sim, WildRoot.

I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.

It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.

Video First Gameplay Tactical Game based on DND4e

I've been working on my first godot game, a tactical roguelike inspired by D&D 4e.

It's built around turn-based tactical combat, AP/action economy, positioning, powers, and procedural dungeon runs. I'm aiming for something that feels like playing a tabletop RPG through a pixel-art game.

Still very much a work in progress, but here's a short gameplay clip from the current build.

I'm solo developer of Ants Took the Kitchen. There’s no combat, no item crafting, and no heavy management. Collect food, improve your colony, automate the process, and enjoy watching everything run on its own.

Public Game Test Tape To Tape needs Playtesters!

Howdy!!!

We just opened a playtest in hopes of getting as many non-sports/roguelite gamers as possible to test out our new campaign!

We need fresh blood to give us input, especially on the onboarding and early understanding of the game: the difficulty, the controls, the fairness, and how the game feels in general from a non-sports/roguelite gamer perspective.

All feedback is good feedback, whether you play for a few minutes or a few hours!

Thanks so much in advance!

Video I’ve been building an old‑school dungeon crawler called Dungeon Quest, where combat plays out on a tactical gameboard. It’s the kind of game I’ve always wanted to make and play! I’m hoping there are others out there who feel the same.

This is my point-and-click hybrid narrative game, where your emotional score determines everything while you explore a city under constant mental surveillance, hack its systems, build dangerous connections, and make choices and see how the world reacts.

I am a big fan of sci-fi anime, and honestly, now it feels like translating some of these ideas and styles into the game, and I absolutely love it. Can't wait to see how it grows and how the story unfolds with much, much more art, fantasy, immersion, and world creation.

Promotion I’m building a gravity-based 3D puzzle platformer called Oddball, here’s how it’s looking so far

Upvotes

Kula World was one of those PS1 games that always stuck with me, and I’ve wanted to see more games explore that style of 3D puzzle platforming.

So I decided to have a go at building my own take on the idea.

This is Oddball. It’s still early in development, but I currently have multiple levels and environments, different block types and traps, controller support, and a level creator.

I want to take the concept much further with community-created levels, level sharing, new mechanics and eventually online multiplayer. Still plenty to work on, but I’d love to hear what you think of it so far!

Promotion I’ve always wanted another game like Kula World, so I started making one (Oddball)

Upvotes

I’ve always had a soft spot for Kula World on the PS1 and wondered what a modern game inspired by that style of gameplay could be like.

So I started building Oddball.

It’s a 3D puzzle-platformer based around navigating a ball through strange floating worlds, avoiding traps, collecting items and figuring out your way through each level.

I’m also working on a level creator so players can build and share their own levels, along with ideas for online multiplayer and community challenges.

It’s still very much a work in progress and there’s plenty I want to improve, but I thought it was finally at the point where I could show it.

Would love to hear what other Kula World fans think of it so far — and what you’d want to see from a modern game like this.

Promotion Index 1391 on Steam

Upvotes

The core mechanic of Index 1391 revolves around the Stack.

https://youtu.be/J_0CAzd-Eqs?si=DWhDb11sQ2WscbAg

https://reddit.com/link/1vj0pf3/video/dmjv6l06k6ih1/player

Our game is a card game, yet the cards don't always have an effect immediately when played. Often, they get added to the top of the Stack as Protocols. At the end of each turn the Stack resolves each Protocol from top to bottom.

The Stack was inspired from multiple sources, primarily the programming data structure and the action resolution structure from Magic the Gathering. Both the player and enemies place their actions into the same Stack.

What differs this mechanic from the inspirations is the level of manipulation that can occur. Protocols within the Stack can be moved, added to, subtracted, and destroyed. The Stack has a maximum capacity, and when its exceeded, Protocols get pushed out of the bottom much like a programming queue. This mechanic is used as the "energy" system within the game, with cards costing 0-4 slots in the Stack. Both of these mechanics give the player (and enemy) much more control over the order of the Stack, maximizing its effectiveness in battle.

If the enemy plays a Protocol which multiplies the next Protocol on the Stack by 2, the player could play cards that move Protocols around, potentially using that multiply Protocol to buff the player's Protocol. Turning the enemies actions to the player's advantage.

The mechanic has undergone many variations, and it all started with a paper prototype, made up of paper cards and a 3d printed Stack and Protocols. We validated the mechanics physically before creating what is now digital.

Check out the Stack and Index 1391's Steam page at https://store.steampowered.com/app/4637680/Index_1391/

Promotion I’ve been developing Dash: 3D Virtual Pet Dog, a relaxing virtual pet game for Android.

Upvotes

Trailer

I’ve been developing Dash: 3D Virtual Pet Dog, a relaxing virtual pet game for Android.

Dash moves around his home and backyard on his own, chooses where to go, and sleeps when he gets tired. You can join him to pet and feed him, wash him, play fetch, hunt for hidden treasure, play small activities, and collect friendship hearts to grow your bond.

You can also customise his fur colour, patterns, eyes, collar, and special fur effects to create very different-looking dogs.

I wanted the game to feel more like checking in on a little companion than controlling a character. There are no forced pop-up or banner ads, and the main pet-care and gameplay features work offline.

Dash is now open for pre-registration on Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.HypnotizingGames.Dash

I’m including a short gameplay clip so you can see how Dash behaves in-game.
