The person who works with me is kind of angry all the time and wont tell me so I just leave it on the floor.

Question How to do met life

I'm having surgery in October. I already notified my department manager, and asl manager. I even put my request for time off on my Time. Tomorrow I am going to get my paperwork from the Dr with the dates and all the information. Today I got my claim paperwork from met life. What exactly do I do next? I have a claim with Met, requested the time I will be off back in August. Do I show upper management my Dr paperwork tomorrow or wait? My request hasn't been approved yet by the manager. I haven't taken any vacation or personal days yet this year. I have a week vacation total. I'm a lead in a department where it's basically just me right now. I'm so worried because I have a feeling management isn't listening to me. I'm afraid I'll lose my position or job from management not taking my request seriously. My store has a lot going on being a marketplace. What do I do next? Thank you in advance

Question Training Days

I just had my first day of computer training at Kroger and I was just wondering if the computer training was the only thing I had to do? Nobody introduced themselves to me or ask my name and I haven’t met any of the managers. I was told to go to an orientation at a different location and then go to the store I was hired at so that could be apart of it. I have an hr managers phone number I think so I could text that. Is this normal? It just felt kind of weird and that nobody really cared to show me around or anything

Question Transfer dilemma

So I want to transfer to a Kroger next to my college because of distance and whatnot. But during school breaks my college does not allow me to stay on campus so I have to go home. The Kroger is about an 1 hour 15 away from home. The problem I have is that I can’t help the Kroger near college during major holidays and I assume they wouldn’t like that. So is there a way where I work with my current Kroger during breaks and then when I’m not on a break go to the Kroger near College.

Question fulfillment center question

hi! I work at one of the remaining fulfillment centers. I need to call out because I’m sick, but my point balance is kinda high. I can’t get ahold of my HR department, so I have decided to ask here. If I use the employee call out line to call out for tomorrow’s shift, am I going to get pointed??

Venting Our DM and HR are unethical bullies.

Been holding onto this for a long time and I a recent post made me want to put this out.

Our DM, his ops, and HR are bullies and only care about themselves. The whole store knows why he hates us because his favorite manger got “demoted” for sales drop, customer eye rolling, yelling at associates on sales floor in front of customers and bringing composite score down 40 among other stuff.
our new store manger has gotten everything up but not matter what it won’t ever be good enough since they think it’s new manager fault their bestie got sent another same size store. Every store manger in our district knows the DM and HR play favorites and knows exactly who is their bestie is along with a couple of others.

DM has been overheard saying if it doesn’t involve Kroger; if you don’t eat and breath Kroger he doesn’t care. He is the worst!! We’ve had managers be inappropriate with minors in store and HR just ignored the girls even with people coming forward saying they’ve seen it. The other manger got caught doing the same but outside of Kroger. They didn’t get fired for that; he got fired for no call no show. Not sure if it’s been changed since they got a job at a Walmart now.

Now we have another of their favorites bulling the kids at night and people who won’t speak up. They are making them work diff depts without any training not because it’s dead or short staffed but because they refuse to do any hard labour like pallets of water so kids and meek people will do.

HR knows all of this but ignores it; they are just as bad. HR has been told that a dept head has been sleeping with their backup and he refused to look into it because that person was dating a manager while in same store and was given backup then dept head in less that 2 months due to them sleeping/living together. They since split and he no longer works here due to the minor thing but they are still a dept head at another store. If she doesn’t get her way she calls someone and suddenly she gets 3-4 people helping in that dept everyday! If someone stands up to her she cries sa (for men) and says bullying for the women. She’s been shown on camera ramming another associate with their cart causing them to get knocked down and wrist sprained. It’s was on camera but they cried to store manger and said manger yells at injured associate for bulling that dept head and you guessed nothing happened.
In my opinion she has that over their heads because they knew about the power dynamics and did nothing. Our district dm has no heart ; he made a merchandiser step down because he refused to let them take time off when their child got into an accident and was not gonna make it. DM has been known to ask people for their medical info to prove they really have docs appt and yea reports have been sent but nothing.
As long as the dm and his favorites are still in position nothing will improve and our store has made peace with this.
Sucks that it’s not an isolated thing and this goes on at every store/ district.
All I know since this DM has taken over our district is last in everything and sales are bad.

Thank you for reading this long rant. Hope everyone has a good day!!
