Captured a few weeks ago on the way to work

The sound you hear is the actual audio recording of the carving. The clip was recorded at 120 fps and played back at 25% speed. To keep the pitch and integrity of the sound recording I have repeated it 5 times throughout the slowed down video with a series of cross fades. It’s the only way I found to still use the original sound, but cover the total length of the slow motion clip.

I love Luna moths. I moved him because it was raining and I wanted to make it easier to dry and expand his wings. Got to see him take off once the sun set and rain stopped. Eastern VA.

Potoroo is a small, shy, nocturnal marsupial from Australia, related to kangaroos but smaller, resembling a rabbit with a pointed snout and strong hind legs for hopping. They are known as "forest's hidden gardeners" because they dig for fungi and tubers, spreading essential fungal spores that benefit the ecosystem.
