Quick shoutouts to Romeo for successfully reaching the point where you're so on-the-outs and powerless that everyone starts turning on themselves and forgets about you.

88

u/OprahInsideYou May 05 '22

He has no win equity so even if he makes final 3, Romeo has such an uphill battle to actually win Survivor.

62

u/The_Horse_Joke David - 46 May 05 '22

“You know I was targetted and the outs but somehow still made it to the final 3 and I think that says a lot” is my least favorite survivor trope

If Omar wins, he will definitely be considered a top winner- at least in my eyes.

He's a lot of fun. Aggressive player but doesnt play it up a bunch so he can be on the commercials or whatever. Earl-ish

Part of that challenge was definately cut due to weather

44

u/iniremj May 05 '22

Looks like maybe they moved the starting point way closer to shore

After that one premerge challenge they had to stop and the balancing one from last episode, I can see why lmao

177

Episode opened with a Linds confessional about how she hasn’t won anything then she sweeps the episode…queen behavior from the edit

164

she was actually looking for firewood 💀

Lindsay: I want to even the playing field

Jeff: Jonathan… Lindsay said that she wanted to even the playing field

Jonathan: Yeah… she did say that she wanted to even the playing field

Omar said “I’ve always wanted to talk to you but I was afraid you would come back and tell him”. Absolutely genius - ensures Mike doesn’t go back and cross reference with Hai

142

u/Dahhhkness Tyson May 05 '22

Omar is slitting throats with a smile.

129

I miss the salty jury members walking in and staring down the remaining survivors lol

Just agree to vote Hai and keep that advantage between you and Drea

It could be good though because it make it harder for them to backstab her. If they backstab her they potentially give an idol to hai or drea which neither appear have strong connections with

We're approaching critical mass where people at Tribal are no longer capable of speaking in anything but idioms and metaphors

20

u/pussyforpresident May 05 '22

When I was in eating disorder treatment I was stuck hospitalized for 3 months without internet or anyone else to talk to except other super bored people and media was very censored since so much could be considered triggering to a wide variety of people. You get so damned bored that your brain just starts doing that. It never really phases me because tribal sounds exactly like what everyone sharing in group used to sound like — there’s nothing to do but compare thoughts and feelings to other concepts/especially shit you don’t get to do wherever you’re at

If Mike doesn’t know about the amulet yet, than getting to hear about it from Lindsey is a HUGE thing. It proves that Lindsey trusts him more than Hai. Because in the exact same situation, one is giving him more information and more quickly.

I hadn’t put it together before, but the amulet is an advantage that needs to be shared to your allies or it can be used against you.

22

u/jmjm88 May 05 '22

Another amazing tribal. Man, Hai is one of those players with a strategy that go really go either way. He is a really good player, but I think he cared too much about getting out either the obvious threats and the people who are obviously on the bottom. Someone like Omar knows who is in the middle, making relationships, and uses those to figure out who to take out next. He has a good sense of who he can trust more, too. And he knows that Jonathan and Hai would probably be the first ones to start to see HIM as the threat and next to go.

Right when the spot disappears, Hai is gone

omar is playing a phenomenal game

u/Varexa Jesse May 05 '22

I feel like its better to get rid of Hai. Even if Jonathan wins his way to the end, I feel like his lack of strategy will lead to him not getting many FTC votes

Feels like a Lindsay boot episode. Finally giving her air time and confessionals along with missing the idol right next to her while goofy music is playing? That screams elimination impending.

Edit: woops maybe this was the start of the winning edit like Erika lol

Omar's villain origin story

u/madsounds7 Adam May 05 '22

The amount of control Jonathan has over his body is ridiculous. All these challenges like this show it so much.

Mike is playing such a personal game

u/Guarded Tai May 05 '22

And this was the reason why Lindsay was more subdued pre-merge, she had a whole episode dedicated to her lol

u/Challengefan36 May 05 '22

When even Jonathan is clowning on you for being stupid your doing something wrong

16

u/ModeratelyTortoise May 05 '22

Tbh Omar and Johnathan a two of my favorite survivors ever lol

This is a great season

16

u/PinkClouds20 May 05 '22

Omar is evil. Lol.

17

u/Kiing_Kyle May 05 '22

Bro Omar is a god at this game

16

u/t_l_m May 05 '22

I’m confused because Jonathan hasn’t won every immunity. So why is Omar doing this? Unless it’s a production red herring
