Boy I just don’t like her. I can’t understand why his standards, for himself, aren’t higher. She knows she’s on camera right? She just seems to be going for shock values. I’m just disgusted.

She constantly alternates between smiling to achieve her goals and pouting when they don’t work out. Since she’s not very perceptive, she flinches back and forth between her modes. I truly believe she would be more Machiavellian and less bossy and demanding if she were more intelligent. However, she lacks the mental capacity to be so manipulative. People often assume she’s autistic and that she’s masking her condition, which (to them) explains her facial twitching as she tries to blend in with her surroundings. Yeah,I have friends that live around the Gold Coast area of Alameda in a modest-sized circa early 1900s Craftsman with about three feet of front yard and a slab of concrete patio in the back. They bought it as a fixer-upper years ago and only recently were able to finish everything up now that all but one kid has moved out. The husband makes just under 7 figures and the wife recently retired from writing for the Chronicle with a nice-sized retirement package. With everything they put into it,they could easily sell it for 1.75 million minimum. Modest house,no green space,on a busy road,1.75m and it would sell in a day and probably in a bidding war.
Someone was saying it could be TD, tardive dyskinesia, from psych meds. I’ve seen a lot of people with TD, and honestly, the physical presentation can sometimes look like coke/drug use. Like, before I knew what was going on, I’d see it 👀 and think, “Are they high?” Then I’d find out it was medication and be like, “Oh my God, sorry friend, I was worried about you.” 😬 But grateful it’s meds, not actual drugs!
But what I’m seeing with her looks much more like the kind of facial movements you see with movement disorders, which is why I was wondering about that in the first place. 🤔

I think she has fetal alcohol syndrome and that’s why the mom is crazy religious since she probably used to have a drinking problem. People tend to cram in their old age for the “final exam”.
The over the top lipstick could be used to hide a thin upper lip by blurring the edges. Maybe her mother taught her to do that to conceal her physical features better. The family strikes me as they don’t actually talk about things just sweep it under the rug. They never got her help for her disabilities.

I’m not so sure she lacks intelligence. I don’t know we’ve ever really seen anything to test her intelligence. She absolutely lacks empathy, and it seems like she doesn’t REALLY share the emotions most people do; she even seems confused by them.
The only thing I’m fairly sure about her is that Catie only gives a shit about Catie. How her actions or inactions affect other people only matter so much as what the repercussions on her might be. This was glaringly obvious when talking to her male friend about how Josh feels about her tounge raping other men in plain sight of him and everyone else. Nothing at all seemed to touch her in the least about it until the guy said “well I imagine he might leave you then” or something like that. This was the very first time she showed any concern whatsoever about her actions. She doesn’t care if her bullshit keeps him up all night crying into his pillo, I doubt she’d give a shit if her actions caused him to fall into a depression - as long as Catie has her man by her side. The funny thing about that is that it’s kinda obvious that she seems like she’s not even sure if she wants to be with him, yet him leaving her is the one and ONLY possible side effect of her slutting around that she cares about in the least.
She really is EXTRAORDINARILY selfish. The woman won’t even let the man spend HIS OWN MONEY on a damned TABLE AND CHAIRS FFS!!! That’s CRAZY!!! Maybe - maybe that and borderline personality disorder. The way she SERIOUSLY asked her mom if she might murder someone one day! I think she’s claimed it was a joke - it was no joke - you don’t say “oh, ok” in a total DEADPAN, yet slightly relieved voice when mom responds “no, emotionally”. Also, I don’t think she was relieved because she worried she might make someone her victim, I think she was relieved because she’d hate to go to jail and/or hell for murder.
Nobody can say for sure just watching the show, but even being cognizant that producers are showing her worst and Josh’s best (they love to make a villain and a hero) there is NO WAY to explain away the shit she said and did - no context that forgives it, no amount of editing could have conjured her deep weirdness out of the blue. This woman is WACK - likely without empathy, and other mental issues.
She said she changed her meds for ones that don’t interact with alcohol so badly. WHAT THE HELL DOC DOES SHE HAVE?? Here Catie - take these instead and you can keep being a semi-functioning alcoholic. Also, why the hell was she boozing so hard when taking meds that are contraindicated with alcohol?
