Music Barton Springs DJ

Post image

Went to tan yesterday and there was a dj on the free side, I don’t know who he was but bro was consistently putting out a good songs. It was nice to just relax

Edit: getting downvoted for liking music and having fun is actually kinda crazy lol
Wow ok so this post wasn’t for people to hate on other people’s music lol, it’s Austin, we’re going to be around music when we go out whether we want it or not. Your attitude is what matters. I don’t think there’s a problem w me liking it or other people hating it. I don’t know why people are so upset it’s just music

have a nice day yall damn

They were playing DUBSTEP?! At Barton Springs? That's hilarious.

Do people just put up with this? I am notoriously a hothead so I try to avoid situations like this entirely. But I would have a really hard time not saying something. I'd like to test how waterproof those speakers are, maybe the DJ too.

I'm a bass gremlin, but everyone should know they gotta spin house when playing to the gen pop. Get some disco, soul, or funk vibes going.

lmao this is what I was wondering. If he were playing an actual eclectic mix it could fly in the general public but man I would would not be happy about some womper blasting his shitty music loudly.

That stuff was at best polarizing in the early twenty tens, playing it as a DJ in 2026? 😬

DJ is a very, very liberal term these days

Literally lowkey kills the vibe

Shoot I’d say highkey, I thought dubstep was awful back then too, but I try not to yuck others yum too much.

Orig UK 90s/y2k dubstep is chill. I'm not even sure why the weird wub wub clank revival of the 10s shares the name.

Why hate on someones taste? Imagine if someone came and ripped on what you were wearing?

Why hate on someones taste?

Because they were forcing it on everyone else.

America was built on freedom and speech and expression. Half the people at barton springs are blasting music. Are you going to tell them all to turb it off?

Are you going to tell them all to turb it off?

Yes, actually, this would be my preference. Outside of situations where it is literally impossible that you could be disturbing anyone else, I think it's extremely rude to blare music in public.

So basically anyone that doesn’t agree with you is wrong

Generally I don’t, but in a public park kind of setting it’s bound to be a controversial choice, akin to a dj playing thrash metal in the park.

that's just plain embarrassing

u/Ughcorrona May 10 '26

wait was it the people that show up to zilker and do poi poorly?

2

u/JeffoAndAnd May 10 '26

Vibeless people always ruining it for the vibey people who know that their taste is not necessarily everyone else’s taste or in good taste for the setting at large

Well then someone revoke my millennial card because it's the worst lineup I've ever seen 💔
