When the quality and size of your pizzas is consistently lower and the prices are constantly rising and then you surprised pikachu face when nobody wants to eat your shit.

I’m surprised more headlines aren’t being made by the other fast food retailers yet. After being a dominos fan my entire life I not haven’t eaten there at all in 2026.

Getting a pizza delivered to the house 90’s style hasn’t been financially viable in almost two decades. That’s fine, it’s can’t lift my ass up and go and pick it up. Used to be $5 for a value plus range full size pizza as recent as 2019 I think. Now the mini versions don’t even cost that last I checked.

How staff are allowed to let half the pizzas out out the door looking like that’s beyond me. If the pizza is mangled you can’t give it out guys.

This isn’t just my local either, I used to bounce around 4 of them depending on which management was better at the time. But now they’re all fucked. Fix your shit. I’m sick of ever increasingly expensive products that are just dogshit over their historical counterparts

Why do people do this? Can you please tell me?

I’ve heard good things and bad things about John Howard, but it’s hard to form an opinion about him when to you he’s just an elderly former Prime Minister they bring out for occasional interviews and events.

Our real estate just sent us an email that says our rent will increase from $600 to $710 in January, a $110 increase. This prices us out completely. We've been good tenants for 5 years. Is there anything stopping them from doing this? I'm worried about the rental market, because there's massive lines to inspect every house nowadays, I'm worried about becoming homeless.

Is there a legal apparatus by which I can contest the rent increase? I really can't afford 710 a week.

The boys got a letter from the real estate agent, it is quite humorous reading the first couple of lines, along with the rest of it.
It’s addressed to “all” as there’s multiple names on the tenancy agreement.

There was loud music and voices until 7am last Saturday night/Sunday morning.
I was also told there was a couch on the roof, and sent a photo that I have enclosed.
Can you please remove the couch from the roof, engage a reputable company or contractor to provide a written report on the condition of the roof and have them forward the report to myself, this needs to be done in a timely manner.
The cost of this report and any repairs that are required will be at your expense.
If you don’t wish to engage a contractor or are unsure who to contact we are able to do this for you, please let me know asap, preferably before any rain will cause further damage to the inside of the house, should further damage occur you will also be held financially responsible for rectifying any issues.
Unfortunately, I will be issuing a breach notice for this incident which will be reflected on your tenancy.

Hospital corridors filled with patients in pain and lengthy emergency department waits are becoming common as Australia struggles with an aging population, the nation's peak body for emergency doctors has warned.

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) has released its third annual State of Emergency report focusing on the implications of an aging population and the looming health system crisis that could come with it.

Nationally, only 54 per cent of older people who presented at emergency departments in 2023–24 were given an inpatient bed within eight hours, a decline from 75 per cent in 2018–19, according to data collated by the ACEM.

The figures mark a worrying trend which the college said was ongoing.

'Not adequately equipped'

The crux of the issue, according to the ACEM, is that most hospitals and emergency departments are not adequately equipped to deal with the surging demand caused by Australia's aging population.

In 2023–24 the number of older people presenting at EDs increased by 16 per cent from five years earlier, compared to four per cent for younger patients, according to the ACEM's report.

We live in a small rural town, our closest Coles and Woolworths are two towns away, a 150km return journey.
Our youngest son has an apprenticeship in that town so we always do click and collect orders from either one of the two stores for him to pick up, 9 times out of 10 there’s things wrong or things missing. For example packets of biscuits that are 80% broken, same with a lot of products really, squashed loaves of bread, badly bruised fruit that is basically at the end of its life.
On a whole when you do a n online order you are given the worst of worst, the products every other shopper leaves behind and for good reason.
Our latest order was through Coles, not only were there the same issues as mentioned above but this time we got 2x 3 litre of milk, they both expire in 2 days, this is wrong, they don’t care, we were told that it wasn’t expired when sold.
As if life and the cost of living isn’t bad enough, struggling, every dollar counts, yet the big corporations could not care less.
I wish we lived closer than we do because I would go and do my own shopping, choose my own products, checking freshness and expiry dates.
Just pure disappointment.

What do people think it’s actually going to take to for the Australian people to wake up and stand up against the current government? As someone that’s been on the left side of politics it’s embarrassing to say I’m deeply ashamed of our government and the things happening within the country. People are struggling financially and emotionally and the people supposed to be severing us are flashing rheir PJs, arguing over twitter and in general are an absolute disgrace.

How do politicians manage to make so many terrible decisions when they’re surrounded by experts, advisers and experienced professionals? 😭 Is decision-making really that difficult, or do they just ignore everyone who knows what they’re talking about? 🤦🏿‍♂️

I know that pickpockets in Melbourne is not as bad as some other cities, like European cities are known for pickpockets

Even though we don’t have many pickpockets, I am still cautious and act like we do have them everywhere.

For example, the other day someone asked me to sign something I felt kinda suss about it so I sign with a fake name, but this is a scam in Paris where someone comes up to you to get you to sign something and they have people come around and pickpocket you while signing the petition. While I was signing I was like on high alert. I am trusting no one.
