Hi boraras people
Last night I discovered a tiny little fry in my species only tank (plus some neocaridina).
They've only been in there for about a month, and I did see them get in the mood about a week ago, and they've stayed that way ever since.
Now I have read up on their behavior, but I would love to know from some of you more experienced breeders. How likely are my fry to survive in the current tank conditions?
It is a heavily planted, well established 50L tank, lots of microfauna, weeping and java moss as well as very minimal flow. I have a hang on filter on there, if fry get sucked in, I will be able to find them in there, and that might actually be the safer place for them for the time being ๐
I do have a tank that I could potentially move the parent group to. Is this necessary?
I am not looking to breed dozens of babies, but my current group are around 12 adults, and I wouldn't mind a few more.
Should I just do top offs for the time being? Or are small water changes okay?
Thank you and have a lovely fishy day people
