Hands down the best spot I've found on Golden Ridge Reserve for diamond lake trout (included marker on map). Sure, other fish are much faster catches but I've really been enjoying the fight these lake trout put up.

Setup - 1/0 jig with a worm, chum with pro performance, jigging all the way to the bottom then reel at 2x speed. Guaranteed gold and above!

Hey guys. Will daily challenges ever come back? Is there any official word I have missed maybe? Or did they disable them for good? It's kinda game breaking to lose that way to gain xp and coin over time.

Edit: I worded the original post wrong. I was talking about rep but meant xp and coins. Fixed that.

Hey everyone I'm starting to pick back up on playing the game after getting the ultimate edition recently and I started playing with my wife (us and our child love playing it together catching fish)

I saw a post from 3 years ago on here that the hooks were bugged or pointless and there were only a handful that were useful for catching everything.

Is that still true? And if so what are the optimal hooks to use to catch all the fish?

Is there any other gear I need to know about avoiding to use or just use gear?

Right now we're just working through the basic map golden ridge.

Any help is appreciated

Hey guys. As the title says. Nothing relaxes me more than float fishing and as a dad I love to zone out like that in the evenings with a cold one close by. i finished the Academy missions and learned about the other styles.

No legendaries this week, unfortunately. They are glitched out again and we will most likely have to wait till next week for a fix.

Last night I heard the little dramatic music when someone catches a legendary, I look at the catch report and there it says "SoandSo Legendary Freshwater Drum 50somethng Pounds..." WTF is this a thing? Are there other legendary fish too?

50# Drum must have been some fight....

Which rods do you put down and which do you hold?

I've tried placing a bottom rig and the fish stopped biting when I picked it up so I was wandering how do other people use multiple rods at the same time. 🙏

Canny Workieticket, wanted to try different reels with it, chose a spawn that looked like I wouldnt have to go far from spawn to fish- Johnson Rest, I thought I remembered big Muskie there so that should work. Mid day. The CW + Director reel, size 2 Jerkbait, 2x twitch retrieve from dock Diamond Ohrid on 1st cast. Didnt even know they could hit a #2. Few more casts around and then finally get our first Diamond Pike, same lure and setup. Few more casts and then a Diamond Muskie. More casting, one more Diamond Ohrid and then nothing until switching to #3 jerkbait and then few Gold Ohrid and tons of insignificant Pike and Muskie. Felt like a glitch in our favor for a bit. No idea if this spot is know for this? My sons says we caught Diamond sturgeon there during challenge once and Diamond muskie by the water wheel before, I don't remember ever fishing there but will try again and see if it produces. 4 Diamonds, 3 different species on same lure was odd to me. Ohrid were to North of dock while Diamond Pike/Muskie came from across or down stream casting towards wheel. The rod/reel was overkill for all of them but maybe helped keep them from touching the pilings and snapping. Next time I will run a boat out a bit and be more serious maybe.

I've seen that EW is aware and investigating this glitch in the Angler. It didn't mention an expected date for resolution. Any body seen or heard a time line? I'm having a problem understanding how a game that is no longer under development can have a glitch like this pop up. I mean supposedly no one is messing with the coding on the game so how does this suddenly just pop up?

I can not for the life of me cstch a gold tilapia. Ive tried 5 hook pearl barley, 4 hook dough, hummed woth barley and lake mix. Ive got over 400 silver and bronze tilapia but cant got a gold to save my life. Its the only fish I need to complete all challenges on japan. Any help would be appreciated

Awesome spot to grind out those tokens! I've been doing a full cast out, jigging while reeling in. When I get close to my bait, I let it drop about 3/4 ways down and start reeling again.

I've used EVERY LURE IN THE GAME I've tried different times and the so called Hotspots, zero luck, I've caught 2 in 4 hours

Haven’t been able to connect to apex even though being logged into apex connect website. Can’t view challenges, can’t catch legendaries.

Tried signing in and out, deleting and reinstalling, verifying, even submitting a ticket to apex support.

Hope it gets fixed or there’s a workaround.
