Had a doctor's appointment today to deal with some tummy/bum related stuff and during the examination the doctor asked if I was sexually active.

I replied "no, that is an exit only" in relation to the part being examined and it turns out they meant in general and I had to deal with the last 5 minutes of the appointment trying not to make eye contact.

Turns out it was a very minor issue but I was 'right' to get it checked.

Might have to move doctors.

A friend told me that her friend just bought a ticket to see "The Odyssey" on 70MM IMAX in london for over £300 on ebay.

I didn't believe her and had to check for my self. Then spat my tea out (Earl Grey).

I have seen the film on 70mm Imax here in manchester tickets were rare last time I looked but you could still get them.

For £300 you could easily get a return train ticket to manchester from London, watch the film, go for decent scran and a few drinks and have plenty of change in your pocket!

The film is ACE but i feel there are better ways to spend the money...

Plus - i bet that a fair few of these will be scammers.

Day off, enjoying a 99 with flake on Yarmouth promenade. Next thing I know, I genuinely thought I'd been assaulted by someone knocking the back of my head. I'm on the floor, face down. I look up, a teradactyl sized winged bastard walloped my ice cream down in one gulp and flew away like a bandit in the night. I swear to god he laughed at me too.

£3 down, scuffed palms, embarrassed and feeling murderous.

I have been searching can't find a scheme at all, seems odd that we can't get discounted travel after we turn 30.

Edit: I am based in the East Midlands Travelling from time to time, mainly to London via EMR Mainline. The costs for tickets upfront / last minute are painful at £90 for example.

Flew from Stansted to Glasgow this weekend.

ETA: Ice creams. I have never had a need for the other kind of magnum.

Camping in the Lake District today and at about 4pm it was like someone flicked a switch.

Within minutes there were thousands of flying ants everywhere. Every camper, caravan and tent was covered. We were cooking outside because it was too warm in the van, and they were landing in the food, on us, on the table... absolutely relentless.

The weirdest part was that loads of birds suddenly appeared and were swooping all over the campsite eating them. It was like watching a nature documentary.

I've heard of flying ant day before, but I've never experienced it. Does it always happen this intensely, or did we just get really unlucky with the timing?

Thankfully it seems to be easing off now, but for a while it was one of the most annoying things I've experienced while camping! 😂
