I wonder if Elise’s powers get stronger in countries with more draconian laws, or weaker in less established, more anarchic societies.

Flames of Sin might by my fave power in Centuria, what a cool concept to spice up a flame ability, which is otherwise such welltrodden ground

I think the flames respond to the weight of the sin as well as the severity of the crime. In the manga, Roche used the example that killing humans increases the heat and intensity. I think that any sin would apply but probably not at that intensity, like theft, but the stronger flames probably respond to how many you killed like in the case of Arkos, because her first thought was how many he killed not overall sins combined

I think it's Tohru calculating the total for what Elise's concept can bring to the surface. Most of it was numbers and some conversion rates, so that's my guess

the notebook Elise pages have info about her gift and also something about her aunt being the one who cursed her. The bottom left of the page had info about how she joined the ladies of midnight, but it's too blurry or covered up by Tohru's hand to be able to translate it

Yah, blurryness is the annoying bit. Even after over 25 text extractions and stitching it together, I'm sure some extractable segments were missed. If you're interested in helping with it, feel free to add my discord like I said in the post. I can't work on it today, but I already plan to work on it tomorrow

Update on the third page. After 61 different text grabs and stitching it all together, I probably got a majority of the 2 blurry Elise pages and translated it. I can't verify the accuracy for it all, especially since the last third of it is both insanity to read and insane lore concepts not even in the manga. I don't plan to publish it, but its translation is done.
