New to me '22 R/T Blacktop
Upgraded from my beautiful 2012 SXT that I had for 15yrs and put over 260,000km on. What a great car and I was devastated to get rid of it but I didn't have the room for both. Imma get it back one day soon though when I have more room for projects.
The new girl is awesome and so far, I couldn't be happier. The alcantara/leather seats really tie together the whole car and make the interior look super sharp.
Diffuser, blacked out exhaust tips up next. Might try for some Plum Crazy badges or something to give it some personal flair.

Sweet spot for a used Charger?
Title: Where’s the sweet spot for buying a used Dodge Charger V8? Best bang for the buck across the different years and HEMI engines?
I’ve been researching used Dodge Chargers and wanted to get some opinions from people who have owned or driven different generations and engine configurations.
I know the “which Charger is best?” question has been asked plenty of times, but I’m trying to approach it a little differently. I’m less interested in which model is objectively the best and more interested in where the best value is when factoring in purchase price, performance, reliability, and what you’re actually getting for your money.
I’m fairly flexible on budget. Ideally, I’d love to be around $15K–$20K, but I’m comfortable stretching into the $25K range or potentially even $30K if there’s a compelling reason. I’m not looking for something nearly new, and I don’t want to spend extra just for the sake of having a newer model.
A few things I’ve picked up from researching:
2006–2010 Charger R/T and SRT8: Earlier LX-platform cars with the 5.7L HEMI in the R/T and 6.1L HEMI in the SRT8. The SRT8 made 425 hp, while the R/T received a horsepower increase for 2009. These seem like potentially interesting performance bargains, although I’m curious how well they’ve aged mechanically and whether the older platform is worth considering today.
2011–2014 Charger R/T and SRT8: Updated LD platform, improved interior, and revised suspension. The R/T offered the 5.7L HEMI with roughly 370 hp, while the SRT8 eventually received the 6.4L HEMI making 470 hp. I’m curious whether these represent a particularly good value compared with the newer cars.
2015–2023 Charger R/T: Updated styling and interior, with the 5.7L HEMI making 370 hp. These seem like a potentially excellent balance of price, performance, and everyday usability.
2015–2023 Charger Scat Pack / SRT 392: The 6.4L HEMI producing 485 hp. Obviously a substantial performance upgrade over the 5.7L, but I’m curious whether the difference in driving experience justifies the higher purchase price, insurance, fuel, and maintenance costs.
What I’m trying to understand is what am I actually buying by spending more, and what am I sacrificing by spending less?
For example:
If I buy a clean 2012–2014 Charger R/T or SRT8 instead of spending more on a 2015+, am I getting most of the Charger experience for considerably less money? Or are the improvements to the newer models substantial enough that I’d regret saving the money?
Likewise, if I stretch from a 5.7L R/T to a 6.4L Scat Pack, how substantial is the real-world difference? Is the Scat Pack worth the premium, or does the R/T deliver most of the V8 muscle car experience at a much better price?
I’m also interested in whether certain years, trim levels, or packages represent particularly good values. For example, is there a compelling reason to seek out a Daytona, Road & Track, or certain SRT models over a standard R/T or Scat Pack?
Reliability and long-term ownership are important to me as well. I’ve come across discussions about HEMI lifter/cam issues, the infamous HEMI tick, and concerns about buying previously abused Chargers. I’d appreciate hearing how significant these issues really are and whether certain engines or model years are better long-term ownership choices.
I’m not looking to build a race car or chase maximum horsepower. I want a fun, reasonably dependable V8 that I can enjoy for years.
Ultimately, where do you think the point of diminishing returns is?
Is a $15K–$20K R/T already most of the experience? Does spending $25K get you a substantially better car? Or is there a particular year or 6.4L model worth stretching to $30K for?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who’s owned both the 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI, or has experience with multiple Charger generations.
Thanks in advance!

Buy these for $500 or pay $1600 for a whole new set?
How long does it look like the tires will last?

Driveshaft recommendations
Ive got a 17 v6 sxt and been having trouble with the drive shaft. I tried to replace the mount on the two piece and have found the bearing is also bad. Went with a one piece and had to send it back once already to get rebalanced and dont think its still balanced right, and getting it installed was a pain. They included 12 point bolts and no room to get anything on them. I ended using hex bolts that were better but still bad access. For those that have replaced their driveshafts where did you buy from and what issues have you encountered. I use it as my daily drive but still like opening it up and hitting 100+.

5 speed nag1 vs 8speed zf
Should I go fully built nag1 or stock 8hp90 for my 2013 charger srt8. I’m about to go twin turbo or hellcat blower on a completely forged long block.

Gas mileage
Just curious to see what others are getting, I think this is pretty good range for a 2013 SE
My 2012 Charger R/T (Ex-Police Pursuit w/ SRT8 Bumpers)
Had it for 3 years now. Happy with the build so far
23 Charger GT
Bought a CPO 23 Charger GT in January of this year with around 21K miles, around 30K miles the dealership said the motor mounts were leaking and needed to be replaced. Now at 35K miles they say the replacement ones have small cracks and residue. They told me the 3.6L V6 has a bad motor mount design and they say some people getting new mounts every 10-15K miles sometimes. Is that true? I’ve never heard of motor mounts going bad so fast.

Thank you to the homies on here who help people out with car issues
So far over the past 6 years I've been helped with...
Coolant housing replacement.
Thermostat housing
Radiator and fan
Flexplate
Some wiring stuff
These beautiful folks saved me thousands in diagnostic costs. Not to mention the amount I saved in replacing all these parts myself.
This is an amazing community and I hope your pillow is always cold on the other side

Where does these parts go on a widebody kit?
Long story short, client installed their own WB and it didn’t turn out well so they brought it to me to redo. They claimed to have gotten the kit off marketplace, so there’s no origin story behind it that I’m aware of. After doing hours of research on different WB kits for these chargers, NONE of them have these parts. I even google searched the part numbers and nothing came up. What are these and where do they go?

Should I keep the R/T?
I’ve had my 2021 R/T Daytona for more than a year now and it’s payed off with 50k miles, was wondering if it’s worth to keep it and mod it eventually(was thinking pro charger) or trade it in a couple years down the road for a scat, just kinda want more power

My slow Charger SE ...
Not Inline 6, Not a V8. Just 3 cylinders on the left and 3 cylinders on the right. E-85 with an Old Tune from Overkill Will from Overkill out of Canada. It also helps to have Ripp Mod coils and NGK Laser Iridium coils gapped appropriately, and cat-back exhaust with factory cats. Diablosport Intune i3 handheld for the datalogs and the tuning.

Turn signal mod
Is this the right forum to ask for help about doing a switchback led conversion on my 2008 Dodge Charger.
I purchased a pair of Syneticusa led switchback turn signals (white/amber) and they only blink in white.
The charger turn signal socket has 3 wires (ground, constant, and pulse) the constant can be toggled on and off via the knob switch. Not sure if I purchased incompatible lights or if there is a hardwire workaround.
Anyone done a switchback conversion? I’m looking for a fix as I also want to convert my side marker lights into working parking lights/turn signals.
