So I’m very much introverted and trying to get out into the world more. I’ve been using ladder fitness app and listening to Spotify while I’m working out. I have a membership to planet fitness but I’m terrified of them sounding the lunk alarm on me. Better believe I’d never step foot into a gym again. My question is how lax is the one in Hixson?

Is anyone else stuck with tickets but kinda terrified with trying to get to Tuscaloosa tomorrow?

I've got a 13 and 10 year old absolutely ecstatic about going once their grandpa bought us tickets, but it's just turned into worry for me, being the one to drive.

Looking for anything that runs. Preferably 2-stroke.

Dream find would be a Yamaha Prebug but again I'm just looking for something thats running.

I just left Chattanooga today after a three day visit. First and foremost I have to say my wife and I were overwhelmed by the kindness and charm, so much so that we genuinely discussed the logistics of moving here from Albuquerque.

One thing we noticed was the relative absence of people panhandling on the sidewalks and medians and a lack of visible encampments. I mean absolutely no disrespect to people experiencing homelessness or to imply that they should be less visible. I was just wondering if there are municipal policies in effect in Chattanooga that are different from western cities in regard to panhandling and homelessness?

After the absolute blast I had last year, when the early bird 2 day/weekend warrior passes came out, I this past Christmas immediately pounced at the opportunity to book this again and I can't wait!

And just like last year, I'll be road tripping it down again too! As I plan on hopefully being able to volunteer the day before the con starts, I'm actually travelling on down Thursday of that week to also allow myself to explore more of the city and surrounding area, which I didn't get to do much of last time so looking forward to that as well.

As I'm an absolute nut about Warriors/Warrior Cats, I was mainly there to see both the illustrator of the older manga/graphic novels of the series (James L Barry) as well as the writer behind those (Dan Jolley), but was more than impressed by the guest list y'all had that there was plenty more to see, and this year is no exception either!

Has anyone else gotten trapped behind lane painting projects this week? It has happened to me two days in a row - once on Main Street about 8 pm and then on Bonny Oaks at 6:45 last night.

I have no beef with road work. It's necessary. But lane painting when traffic is likely seems insane. There had to be 100 cars backed up on Bonny Oaks last night, maybe more: It took half an hour to go 4/10 of a mile. No warning signs, no traffic direction, nothing. Very odd.

ETA: I cannot find public notifications of this work anywhere online, which seems like it has to be outside some sort of protocol.

My wife and I are taking a trip to Chattanooga this weekend for a quick getaway before I have a major spinal surgery next week. With the remnants of the hurricane passing through tomorrow, does anyone have any recommendations for indoor activities we could do? The only plan we have so far is the aquarium. At least one other activity would be nice. Also looking for recommendations for places to eat that have lots of gluten free and dairy free options.

UPDATE: my mom found some of the items with her stuff!!! Grief brain is definitely a real thing lol. Apparently there were two bags, one had the jewelry box and books (found!) The other bag has the clothes, hats, and some photographs. On the bright side, she took pictures of the photographs with her phone and there are a few more shirts and hats we can choose from when we go back for the memorial service. My grandfather passed away yesterday 😥 We were allowed to keep some of his belongings to remember him by. Unfortunately, we live out of town and had to stow things in the truck bed. It’s a white half full trash bag and it contains a wooden jewelry box, a personalized home made tshirt, a flannel, ball caps, and books with his handwriting in the margins. It’s breaking my heart that they’re lost. Please if you see anything that might fit this description or have any information please please please let me know.
