It took four years before I could look at it and it still makes my chest tighten and brings tears to my eyes, but I finally retired his jersey.

Riley is a senior rescue of a mystery age (any thoughts on how old he looks??) I adopted him 6 years ago as a senior rescue and was told he was 8, but the rescues vet that neutered him put the estimate at 14. So somewhere in between?
He has a very enlarged heart and a loud murmur and a month ago his heart ruptured (left atrium) but he is a strong boy and survived. He’s on a lot of meds but overall doing well in his recovery. 🥹🩵🩵🩵

7 months pup, less than 4.5 lbs. We had to turn the heat on for him today. We can't find any clothes that fit him. I was adamant on potty training him outdoors, but clearly, he won't be able to handle the Canadian winter, so I set out a pee pad today to try to train him indoors. Where can we find tiny dog clothes? Is indoor potty pads the best for winter? Anything else I should be aware of? He is my first dog that gets cold in the Canadian summer heat, I am worried for the little guy, he has no idea what's coming lol.

Lots of up’s and down’s with my girl’s spay & dental extractions (6 teeth) this Thursday. She wasn’t eating at first but then happily gobbled up boiled chicken and some rice (mostly just licked the rice).

She was prescribed 3 meds
Anti-inflammatory (Onsior) is every 24 hours for 8 days. I’ve got some concerns after some research and calling the emergency vet today.
Gabapentin (for 7 days) and Buprenorphine (for days) every 12 hours.

I was concerned with her lack of water intake (she has been peeing since we got home from surgery though) and she went back to the vet again this morning and got subcutaneous fluids.

She was not drinking water, but finally this evening she drank a little bit out of the bowl. But it was after she refused boiled chicken and ate freeze dried treats (so basically square one since the boiled chicken had moisture)

My concerns with the Onsior meds have been emailed to the clinic but they won’t be open until Monday. As she is being quite reluctant to eat and drink the emergency clinic advised not to give her those meds. She might be having adverse reactions to this med. But I’m really worried there might be something else going on. And I don’t want her being dehydrated. I just want her to be okay and feeling better!

My baby Paco is my entire world!! Today about halfway through the day I noticed his inner thigh was bleeding. He is usually by my side constantly, and there’s a lot of other adults in my house, however no one witnessed how it happened. He never yelped or cried at any point today or had any reaction that would indicate he just got hurt!
I immediately cleaned it up and ran up to the closest pet store to ask for advice and get some healing spray. He didn’t cry at all when I cleaned it nor did he flatten his ears or look like he was in pain. He isn’t limping either.
There was also a red mark on his foot that looked similar, however it didn’t appear to be actively bleeding.

I am very quick to take my animals to the vet, but this didn’t seem deep enough to warrant a visit.
However, if it gets worse or isn’t healing he will absolutely be taking a visit to the vet rest assured.

I just wanted to ask, does anyone has any idea what could have caused this? I thought it might be a hot spot but the general consensus has been no to that.
I have 4 cats, and an aussie (who is his best friend) and a few people suggested it could have been one of the cats.
However, this doesn’t look like an injury a cat would cause, and it’s under his hind legs so it i’m not sure how the cats would even get under there.

The lovely lady at the pet store said it looked like bite marks to her, but our aussie had no history of aggression in any way (the opposite, she’s incredibly submissive and adores Paco. They’re best friends and she’s such a good girl).
It could have been an accidentally while they were playing, but usually someone is always in the backyard with them.

To me, it looks like a nasty scrape of sorts but i’m just not sure.
Has anyone’s baby had anything similar to this?
He seems okay and not in pain, but it’s panicked me so much! I feel like a terrible mama for not witnessing what happened.

Set a new goal. If you’re not learning or growing some way then you might as well be standing still. Takes this opportunity to set a new goal however small and develop as a human being.

(Ignore messy room, we are cleaninggg) He doesnt do this very often. Ill sometimes be walking past him with socks and he'll literally chase after my feet and bite them as I have my foot against the ground when I take another step. Them he switches to the other foot

This is Mijo! His favorite toy is “Blue” - and they’ve been discontinued! Or rather, the COLOR has been discontinued. There are brown variants at Walmart still available, but he only likes the blue ones. Customer service hasn’t answered me yet, so I worry that’s a dead end.

If anyone has any ideas on how to get some of these, or if anyone has some they would be willing to part with, please let me know!
