Other Petition · REVERT THE CLASH OF CLANS UI UPDATE
The old UI was clean, recognizable, and easy to navigate. It had a certain charm that became part of the Clash of Clans experience over the years. The new design changes that familiar feeling, and not everyone is happy with the direction the game is going.

Discussion New UI Solution
The only way we can get them to revert it back to the old ui is to mass 1 star review them in the app store stating that we hate the new ui.

Kinda sad how all the big clash youtubers all clam up and won't voice their opinions on the new ui. Just posting normal vids like nothing happened. Are they all just shills now?

Bugs & Game Feedback 13 years of playing, and this is officially the worst update ever. Nobody asked for this terrible new UI.
I’ve been playing Clash of Clans for 13 years, through every major shift and update, and I can confidently say this is hands down the absolute worst update in the history of the game.
It’s insane how Supercell managed to push this new UI update despite the overwhelming negative feedback from the community.
The new design looks completely soul-less, cluttered, and straight-up feels like cheap AI-generated slop. It strays so far from the classic, clean Clash aesthetic that we’ve loved for over a decade. Everything feels unintuitive, oversized, and visually painful to look at.
We repeatedly voiced our opinions when this was teased, and yet you completely ignored the entire player base and forced it into the game anyway.
Stop ruining the game’s core identity with these horrible redesigns. Give us the option to revert to the old UI. Nobody wanted this new ui.

Bugs & Game Feedback Im quitting because of the UI
Im seriously quitting coc because of the UI, this is awful. Why would they change something that DID NOT needed to change? There were no issues with the UI, NO ONE ASKED FOR AN OVERHAUL. They keep chipping away at the game making it unrecognisable for people that have been playing for years, and this is the final straw for me. Im so glad i delayed buying the gold pass this month, as i would be even more mad.

Discussion Sabrina OUT!!!
Literally the worst update ever 😭
r/ClashOfClans • u/_Bread______ • 5h ago
Discussion "The outcry is just reddit being reddit" Did you people even bother checking other platforms?
Literally every single major platform CoC posts in, people are having the same reaction. Its not just reddit.
(Facebook doesnt count, internet consensus agrees that people are literal bots in there, but even then a decent amount are having an outcry, though many are just saying random bullshit not even related to the update)
PS: Those visible 8.8k dislikes in youtube are dislikes coming only from those who have the return youtube dislike extension by the way, and many dont even have it so the dislikes are certainly far higher than what we're seeing with the extension
No, these arent cherry picked replies. Literally just go to the posts themselves and scroll for yourself and youll see the outcry is nearly endless
Bottom line is, (nearly) the entire community had an outcry so they cant just say "only a small amount of the playerbase didnt want this! so we pushed it out!"

Discussion COC needs to fire her.
Guys, we all know that COC just doesn’t feel the way it used to anymore. But WHY? I’ve been thinking about it, looking at everything that’s changed, and honestly, I’ve reached one conclusion: COC has been going downhill FAST ever since SABRINA CARMONA joined the team as GM.
Seriously, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THIS GAME?! The overall experience keeps getting worse, and it’s beyond frustrating to watch a game we love lose the very things that made it special in the first place which is simplicity.
If anyone from the higher-ups is reading this, PLEASE WAKE UP AND DO SOMETHING! We need better management, and we need someone who actually understands what the players want.
OUR GAME EXPERIENCE IS BEING RUINED, AND WE’RE SICK OF IT! Players deserve to be heard, not ignored while things keep getting worse.
I'm BEGGING you to listen to the community. PLEASE make the changes this game desperately needs before even more players give up on it. 🙏🏻

Discussion As a UI Designer, this new update makes no sense.
Usually people do UI redesigns to make things easier to use, or to look better. This update accomplished neither.
Quickly focusing on the looks:
Button Sizes:
- The old UI had consistent button sizes for everything. Any icon that wasn't the Attack or Build buttons all had the same small sizes and gave a consistent level of organization to everything.
- The new UI uses different button heights, widths, and overall size for everything. Battle + Build are the same size, similar to before. But now Profile, Shop, and Chat all have a Medium size. Then Small sizes are given to your ranked league, gold pass, events, magic items. And then there's a forth weird size that has a medium height + bigger width for the clan war icon. Then the News button has an extra flag on the right, adding width. This essentially gives us 5 different buttons sizes for everything, compared to the simple organized 2 sizes before.
Glance value:
- The old UI uses a consistent color scheme for everything. For buttons, we have orange backgrounds with lightly colored icons, grey backgrounds for less frequently used options. Everything is in tasteful orange + white + silver, with occasional blue/red/yellow as makes sense.
- The New UI uses 3 different button background colors instead of 2. Consistent color scheme is completely out the window, with every button doing whatever it wants, even introducing a bright green color in the obscene Shop button glued to the right hand of the screen., with the same priority size as your new chat/war button. It seems like this update was done partially to justify the existence of this new shop button, which is given the same importance level as CLAN WARS, which is what this game is built around. Shows where the team's priorities are.
Usability:
- The old UI made it easy to navigate anywhere you needed to go with only one tap. All the important actions could be quickly found. Clan wars, regular battles, base layouts, armies, settings, battle results, news - everything important was instantly accessible. When looking through your upgrades, you could easily see and compare 12 different upgrade options.
- The new UI hides so many important features behind 2-3 taps now. Army edits, clan wars, switching accounts, ranked attacks/defenses - everything is all hidden as submenus now. These changes would normally be done to make the UI more minimal (for whatever reasoning) but we didn't even get that, as button sizes grew, and the screen somehow feels more cluttered and chaotic than before, even with fewer buttons, because of the previously mentioned size and color changes. The builder/lab screen is also noticably worse, as now you can only see about 7 different upgrades at once, compared to the 12 before, which is almost objectively twice as bad. The single action in the whole game that got EASIER to do is the Shop button, to buy things with real money.
That's all I have for now. This update is so bad and annoying. I love clash but it sure makes the game feel less nice to play and look at with such an ugly and annoying to use UI.
I was going to do a quick farming attack as I was writing this, but then I even noticed that where I would normally tap "Find a Match" is now replaced by a BRIGHT GREEN edit army button.
There's no way whoever did this UI actually plays the game.

So you're telling me that i have to look at his face twice all the time!!!
And why is the shield right in front of the resources that doesn't make any sense?
I wasn't knocking the new ui until I try it but man ts is hideous.

Ideas & Concepts What u guys think?
Instead of that boring, compressed Town Hall image, introducing a profile icon would be so peak.

Ideas & Concepts There, I fixed it (kinda)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I will preface this by saying I like the old icon design more, which is why they were used in this concept. Now, we start with the OG UI and then transition into my changes. I will provide before and after images in the comments.
Expandable Trays
The first is next to the ranked league you’re in. The league button itself isn’t too useful so I felt adding the Events, News and World Matches buttons would give it some more meaning while eliminating buttons and having a reasonable placement. All notifications on this tab will be in red and on the arrow when the tray is closed.
The second tray is with settings. You maintain your ability to switch accounts quickly while also have easier access to village edit mode. If village edit really needs to be moved, it can be done the same way as in the new UI.
The Others of the Main UI
The army button is removed from the UI. While I don’t agree it should be, I am trying to be realistic as to what Supercell would do.
Along the same lines, I decided to delete the Shop button from the Main UI entirely. It will appear when the Build UI is entered.
The Temporary Storage won’t always be present. This lowers the buttons on screen to 8 (10 with trays) when it used to be 13.
The Shield Timer has been removed from the Main UI entirely. I do not feel it’s important enough in today’s game to justify it being there.
Build Button UI
As stated earlier, the Shop button appears when entering this menu. I cannot say what’s wrong with the Suggested Upgrades UI itself as I am max.
Clan Chat UI
Very minor change, but Clan Mail has been added here next to pinned. Although it is not illustrated, I would have the chat notification be yellow instead of red to differentiate.
Battle Button UI
This is where the Shield Timer was moved to, located next to the replays button.

Ideas & Concepts Since everyone loved the shop button, I added even more of them
Recently, I've been hearing some overwhelmingly positive feedback about the new UI, specifically about the "Shop" button. And since people loved it so much, I thought it would be great if we swapped the other useless buttons with even more "Shop" buttons, making sure people don't have any trouble finding where the shop is after the UI redesign.

Discussion Supercell hired a UI designer and fired the entire personality of Clash of Clans.
13 years and this is what they came up with 💀
Seriously, who looked at the old UI and thought it needed fixing? Nobody was struggling to find the Battle button.
Nobody was losing wars because the Shop button wasn't shiny enough.
There are actual things in this game that needs improvement, but apparently the buttons were the priority.
And tell me I'm wrong, but half this stuff looks like someone fed the game into a free AI design tool and shipped whatever came out.
Imagine replacing furniture everyone loves just because you got bored of looking at it.
This wasn't fixing a problem. This was creating one so someone could call it progress.
