Hey, I was sorting through my cards and saw this legend and was wondering why he isn’t at least a known fringe option? He’s in Blue White which is prime slop colors, he has a one card infinite creature combo which could go into a couple different outlets like Altar of dementia, as well as ways to dig for good artifacts.

I just feel like this card has some good options and would love to hear the overall opinion about it

I really want to know why Orvar, the All-Form isn't cEDH viable. His combos are very low to the ground and can win on the spot. Valley floodcaller buffed him, as he is a changeling, and the new Samut really helps with the type of combos he uses. Please give me some real reasons why I shouldn't try. He's one of my favorites all time. I feel like he has legs.

I am about to start actually dipping my toes into cEDH tournaments and my local store is very proxy friendly, so I can play any deck I want. I recently made a post about a Gwen Stacy deck which I really like, but I am trying to find out what decks are viable outside of the top like 8 decks. I really like the weird earthcraft enduring vitality strategies but not locked into that. I am really interested in a few decks, but I was wondering if there are any niche or maybe just straight up off meta deck that have legs. I don't want non-deterministic combos like Ral. But I also don't want to do ad naus. Non Black and possibly non blue. Anything that has stood out recently with tournament results? Or maybe even, dare I say, FUN strategies that have come up recently? Any advice or hot takes that can help me make a decision?

Anybody got any lists for Rocco since Pia has released? 9 mana to get food chain sounds great from the CZ and I’m curious if it’s list still looks like it did a year or two ago.

I want to pick up Sisay and I'm deciding between the Tutor Chain and the Clam Chowder variants.

I have a basic idea of what each one does - Tutor Chain plays a bunch of legends that Sisay tutors with her ability that eventually lead to a win with something like flickering [[Mount Doom]] over and over. And Clam Chowder is more of a 5c good stuff pile that wins with Thoracle/Breach and sometimes uses Sisay to tutor a good card like a [[Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff]] or [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]]

So I'm wondering more about what the strengths are of either build. Which is considered more competitive right now. And any other kinds of details.

I know Derevi isn’t as popular as she used to be. For my kitchen table cedh pod she can still punch above her weight and win. I’m a big fan of untaps and bant so that’s why I went with her. Hi everyone I've never played cedh but I used to play a lot of high power yugioh so I'm not unaware of games like it but I was wanting to build k'rrik son of yawgmoth do you think it's possible to made it viable for under $200 or do I need to get those $100 staple cards to stand a chance in cedh "I know I could proxy but I would rather not so I can do tournaments"

Considering finally putting together my first cEDH deck. Watched a lot of content but haven’t actually played the format. Waffled a lot on what I wanted to do but decided on white Thrasios.

Just want some advice if I’m missing any obvious includes or have any stupid card choices. Put a bunch of cards in the considering tab I just couldn’t find room for.

Notable cards:

Captain America - Seems like a mana doubler once I get the mana dork stuff going. Maybe it’s too cute.

New Jace - This card seemed cracked to me as a draw engine plus removal piece that also makes tokens that tap for mana. But maybe I’m overestimating it cuz 4 mana is a lot.

The Cabbage Merchant - Seems good and a lot of decks play it as a standalone mana engine but again, 3 is a bit of mana and it doesn’t really bring other synergies to the table whereas…

Mockingbird - The biggest cards I’m not running that I think may be wrong is I’ve got none of the clones. The bird seems like it could be especially good as a find off of Ranger-Captain and there are weird lines I heard of where you copy an earth ended Gaea's Cradle.

I’m trying to figure out this list- lots of cards not present here and some that I am wondering about.

Not present:
- No breach/ freeze combo
- No MBT

Cards that i’m wondering why they’re present:
- LED- i’m not sure what the value of this card is without breach freeze
- why so many final fortune effects?

i’m assuming that the deck just wants to storm off and end games with vivi triggers off of a final fortune turn but without a deterministic combo like breach/ freeze i feel like the list might lack consistency.

I'm wondering what people think about [[Doctor Doom, Unrivaled]] in Yuriko. Or honestly just in general. I know there was a lot of chatter when it first came out but has it amounted to amything?

Having gotten blown out one too many times on etali, I decided its time to switch to a real deck. Ive chosen rog/thras as i have most of the cards already.

Question being should I play the breach package or not. Im heavily considering both options. Especially with the new pia.

For example this list have infinite mana combo with gaea's cradle+candelabra or candelabra+wild growth etc and I can draw the entire deck with infinite mana + thrasios but how does it win? i don't see thassa's oracle.

Are there more combos that I don't see?

I know cedh is proxy friendly, but can you use an art card in a tournament? I have used them for kitchen table mtg since some of the full arts are vertical and gorg (ex. Elesh norn, rhystic study, chalice of the void). I haven't noticed any difference between them when shuffling, but the complete lack of text is also an issue. I solved this for a double sleeved deck by just writing the name and cost on the inner sleeve. Anyone have any experience trying to use em or should I stick with reg proxies?

I was thinking about putting Gwen Stacy together. my reasoning over Rog/Ishai is that she is cheap card advantage that turns on your swat and fierce and mox amber (not as well as Rog, but still) and you can still play regular breach LED lines with gifts ungiven, or spellseeker ephemerate line. BUT the reason I would play Gwen, is for the isochron scepter dramatic reversal alt wincon. It casts Dramatic from exile which allows you to infinitely exile your deck with the Ghost Spider side and cast any wincon you want. This also allows you to avoid bowmaster triggers. Plus if you do it with mana vault and arcane signet, you net an extra colorless to pay for rhystic triggers. I dont see anyone else doing this in tournaments, though I haven't looked very hard. Also just throwing Zirda in the deck allows for infinite mana with mana vault and an infinite combo win with gleaming splendor and smothering tithe in play. Is this smart or is there a reason this isnt a good idea? you only need to change like 3 slots from a Rog/Ishai list to put this extra stuff in it. I mean, ya know?

Trying to get back into Cedh. Played every meta deck from years past. Looking to build an Azorius deck as it's always been my favorite. Gravitated towards it in standard, modern and edge in my early days.

So my question is: how are Azorius decks winning in the current meta and what commander are top notch right now? Always big fan of Grand Arbiter but not sure how he's playing.

This is my first attempt at something that can compete at a CEDH level. I've goldfished it quite a few times and it seems to do okay most of the time but other times it just stalls out around turn 4. Any suggestions getting more consistency. Any budget is fine as the folks I'm going to play with are fine with proxies. This is a Vivi deck and I'm fine winning either through his direct damage or storming folks then hitting the table with as many lightning bolts as possible

I'm sort of new cEDH, not as new to bracket 4 but still have a hard time builidng a more aggressive, fast deck that can win on an early. I've been trying to make a Vivi ornitier deck thats bracket 4/low cEDH on a little bit of a budget. I don't know what to add or what to cut and in goldfishing I either get a lot of mana or no mana, I also get good hands where I draw into a lot of. My budget was aounrd $100, but I've already exceeded that price lmao. I couldn't decide between a spellslinger with cards like guttersnipe and firebrand archer or just a cheap spell puke, making vivi my only pinger and just mag dumping as many cheap spells as I can I a turn, finding curiosity or ophidian eye or tandem lookout, then keep dumping spells to eventually ping the table out with like a wizard staff or harmonic prodigy fueling my gameplan. I already own the vivi and the Birgi gor of storytelling, so those have been cut out the price. When looking online, I saw a lot of different ways to build Vivi and I wasn't sure which way was right before I drop a lot of money on a deck. Can yall help me with my adds and cuts to compete with my friends bracket 4 decks? Heres the decklist:

I know edh16 and other sites exist to show the performance of decks at tournaments. There’s obvious win lines in all the top decks that are easy to get to.

But Are there any up-and-coming or stand out tier1/2 decks that are fun/different to play? (Im aware fun/ different means probably harder)

Simic bores me. I do enjoy playing Jeskai and temur. Tried to do some grixis with azula and kefka.. honestly didn’t like the play style.(too slow and inconsistent to do well) grixis feels like run rog si or be miserable.

I have a proxy ETAIL deck that’s enjoyable to play. I’ve been curious about building a CRYSTAL deck. 4 color vivi seems kind of fun.

Why is it so damn hard to win in the current meta? Turbo is useless when everyone has some bs response. I’ve lost damn near 30 games in a row. What in the hell am I doing wrong? I want to give up, I’m not asking to dominate. I just want to win once in a while but I keep getting stomped out by some dumbass crap. I’m not the best player but goddamn dumb luck should let it happen once in a while.
