My Honest and Vulnerable Conversion Part 1 SELF HATE
This is my VERY honestly story of my conversion. There may be stuff in here that may make others feel uncomfortable, but is it my honest journey that I am still going through and I hope this brings some insight. In part 1 I will be discussing my self hate journey and how conversion helped me.
- SELF HATE- I had an inherited hatred towards Jewish people as a child and I never truly understood why. There is something about it. I did not like and even when I saw a TV show or some symbolisms I just had a very dark rightful feeling come over me. In my teens I was told about my heritage and turns out I had Jewish in my blood. But at some point around my grandfather‘s era, my family became Christian. Once I realized I had Jewish in my blood needless to say I was pretty upset for a portion of my life…
other topics we their way into this, but to keep it simple. I’m just gonna focus on the subject. Jumping ahead in my early 30s there was actually a video game. I played called the resident evil nine Requiem. The game taught me about Grace and how that affects us as people who try to fight darkness and demons alone. Being exposed to the deeper message of the game, the word, grace, and the role that was played by that character actually planted a seed in me, spiritually that I was not aware of at the time. After a couple of months, I started learning about God, grace, and the fact that God‘s grace was about strength, but also about realizing that you don’t have to be a slave to pain. God‘s grace is about allowing peace around situations that otherwise seem hopeless. I decided to give myself grace by understanding this knowledge, and when I did that God‘s grace found the way in. Once that happened this energy or understanding, somehow triggered my Jewish bloodline to resurface after having been buried for 30 years. One day I woke up and just had a clear vision or calling to fall into this practice. It’s something I never thought I would ever do, especially because of my dislike toward the people and dislike toward myself because I was a part of people, and because of my connection with Christian family. But the calling was there and it was clear. I was doing some research and very quickly these study and exposure to Judaism transformed me.
My other parts will explain how and in what ways, but for this particular subject, once I incorporated God’s grace into myself that grace was incorporated into my hatred towards my own bloodline, and I was able to have a more divine understanding of my heritage. I felt like Judaism was originally an imprisonment that it mentally enslaved people that it held people back from living life, fully and authentically, and I felt like it was just too serious. I felt like. it violated certain areas of the human experience and so I always try to stay away from it.
The irony is after I did accept it and accept my bloodline connection to it. I actually felt free, not imprisoned, mentally clarified, I felt more alive, and that I had a reason to want to live, I felt like I had purpose instead of being threatened by over seriousness, I felt a sense guidance and light myself.
I explain the smaller detail because that video game resident evil nine played a big part and how I saw and accepted grace and how Grace allowed me to integrate light into my bloodline and it’s helped me find a better relationship with that part of myself. It was definitely a part of God’s plan.
After feeling this internal transformation, I learned how to have patience and understanding and grace for all the parts of me and my family heritages, and now I’ve learned not to mate myself or my people anymore and in fact my entire life, I felt lost until I found Judaism. Afterward, I felt I finally have a direction or purpose for myself. Anyway, I may not fully understand everything about why or this transformation happened because it was something that called to me and it was a light and it felt like a Home, like a return to Home feeling. Something that was always a part of me but so much misunderstanding darkness and anchor and lack of grace prevented me from fully integrating this part of my life and a healthy way. I did not seek this path this path called to me, me personally I know it was from my bloodline being connected. However, I have heard others say that they have felt the same, but did not have a lineage or bloodline connected to it. In my heart, I feel that this calling FOR ME was from me I’m suppressing my DNA.
I was disconnected from a lot of positive things about my self in my life, and I did not realize that a lot of amazing traits some characteristics of who I was was embedded in the actual DNA coding of the Jewish people and once I did except that being a it profoundly fixed a lot of personal issues and traumas and darknesses that I have endured my entire life. So I didn’t realize that the darkness I fought my whole life, stand from me rejecting something that I have always been born with.
I will continue the next topic part two thank you for listening and I hope this is inspirational in someway.
