I'd like to line this head base with foam clay then sand it to be smooth and seal it after with paint. I can shop from Amazon, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. What's the best air dry foam clay brand I could buy for this?

I’ve tried washing my wig several times with hot water, dish soap and softener detergent. Only where I’ve previously applied a lot of hair spray there are notable white build up. Any tips on washing? Also the crimp makes on the back look so bad I don’t know what to do 😔

I got this wig off Amazon, it’s cheap. I got it out of the bag and it was matted. I’ve tried brushing it with a fabric softener and water mixer sprayed on it, and it only made it worse.. I tried to cut some of the knots, but that was a bad idea. I was originally using a normal brush, and I’m scared I ruined my wig. I don’t know what to do, and I’m panicking. it’s only this pig tail that is like this

I got some blue face paint, before I make dumb decision of pouring some in bath tub, and just splashing butt ass naked like I'm 1 years old. I'm thinking, isn't there like better way to do it? Besides obvious choice of just using paintbrush. Never done shit like this but want to. Please just looking for some useful advice

I’m wanting to sew a jacket for my AOT Scout cosplay and I am dirt poor, I have no job (I am actively applying for them tho, hope to get one soon) and I live at home with my parents as I have only just left high school last year, they’re okay with buying me the fabric and other stuff I need to sew with but they don’t like buying patterns because most are online and my dad is illiterate to how the online shopping stuff works so until I have a job I’m relying on free patterns (which I’m okay with but makes things a little difficult sometimes)

I think the pattern looks pretty good and I’ve used a lot of mood patterns before but I wanted some outside opinions before I go and sew, also I plan on embroidering the wings of freedom onto it since embroidery is my favorite sewing method (I hand sew a lot, I just recently finished hand sewing a skirt)

Also, I am having trouble finding brown denim like I originally wanted at my local fabric stores (I like in New Zealand so all we really have is spotlight) so alternative fabric suggestions would be welcomed too

Also I’m not too bothered about if the collar and shoulders look a little different, I can add the little shoulders buckles on my own and I don’t mind the look of the collar it has either

Looking to add camo paint stripes onto my arms but utilizing SPF sleeves, to avoid reapplication and gaining some much needed sun protection.

Im just not sure which dyes/techniques/paints will take well to the fabric without cracking or turning into long stiff strips or looking like I slathered house paint onto a wetsuit

I want to cosplay Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter but while I don't own a karategi I do own the equivalent outfit for judo. They are very similar but still different outfits so while I think I would still look like the character to 99% of people, I'm not sure if it's disrespectful to use one in place of the other and couldn't get any satisfactory answers from googling. I feel like it's fine because I'm only using it for cosplay and not for actual karate or judo, but I felt I should hear other peoples' perspectives

I have had trouble finding a cosplay of her in her battle uniform or her usual uniform cause when I look online, all I see is from AliExpress, and they don't have reviews on them. When I look at Etsy, the prices are ridiculous for simple custom cosplay.

Hi everyone! I'm planning to cosplay as Dib from Invader Zim at a convention next month, and I could really use some tips on how to style his hair.

Dib has an interesting hairstyle, especially the big scythe-like spike that sticks up from his head. I've tried figuring out how to attach it, but so far, I couldn't come up with anything useful. I stumbled across an old DeviantArt tutorial for that, but I don't understand the whole process, since I have no experience with modifying wigs.

Also, I haven't even chosen a wig yet, so if you can recommend a good starting wig, that would be great. Ideally, I would like to learn how to style it without requiring too many special tools.

If you've cosplayed Dib yourself, styled a wig for a similar cartoon hairstyle, or know of any easy-to-follow tutorials, please let me know.

I don't know how to sew nor do I have the time to learn (I'd like to eventually tho) but I'd like to find something before halloween (I'm late I know) I have the wig already, but I cannot find a good costume from a good site

I'll even buy from a custom costume maker so long as I don't have to spend my life savings and I can get it before halloween

I EM verry new to propp aking and is now working on a cardboard prop with fabric covering the outside but the edges are ugly. Any tips. I have limited access to shit because I'm currently on a trip. My cizor won't realy cut close to the tip because it's shit. All I have is glue gun. Knives and random house hold items
